However, just to be on the safe side, Jian Zhizhen still asked in the class group: "Excuse me, was today's chemistry exam changed from a written test to an experiment?"
After sending the message, I waited for several minutes, but no one replied.
Jian Zhizhen grew increasingly anxious as she waited.
No, I'm quite popular in my class.
Moreover, the students at this school are mostly focused on their own work and don't have much of a bias against celebrities who have acted in dramas or appeared on variety shows. They treat her the same as any other classmate.
Surely not everyone will ignore me?
Or have they already arrived at the lab and started preparing?
Let's go check out the lab first.
Jian Zhizhen packed her schoolbag and immediately set off for the chemistry lab.
Soon, she arrived at the door of the chemistry laboratory.
The chemistry lab is very large, with dozens of compartments, all of which are closed.
From the doorway, Jian Zhizhen could only see the lights inside and didn't know if the students were in the assigned rooms.
She walked inside and suddenly heard footsteps coming from one of the smaller rooms.
She went over and knocked on the door: "Is anyone home?"
The footsteps inside stopped abruptly, and then a little boy's deliberately lowered voice came: "Sister Qingqing, let's not make a sound."
Then came a little girl's sweet, childlike voice: "Brother Xiaohui, has the teacher found us?"
Jian Zhizhen looked at the door in front of her in confusion. How could there be two children?
She reached out and pushed the door open, looking inside.
The laboratory was empty; there wasn't a soul in sight.
But behind the lab table, two pigtails swayed back and forth.
Jian Zhizhen went around to the back of the lab table and saw two children, about seven or eight years old, nervously huddled under the table.
The two children noticed someone approaching, slowly raised their heads, and looked at Jian Zhizhen.
Their eyes met for a moment.
Jian Zhizhen asked in surprise, "Two kids? What are you doing here?"
Zhen Xiaohui and Gu Qingqing had no choice but to crawl out from under the table, looking as if they had been caught doing something terribly wrong, both with guilty expressions.
One looked up at the ceiling, the other looked down at the toes of his shoes.
"Come out with me right now. This is a dangerous place you shouldn't be in."
Jian Zhizhen held one in each hand.
Just as I turned to leave, the laboratory door suddenly closed automatically.
