Qi Guze pointed to a new grave not far away, where Bei Ye lay quietly.
"I think if we engrave his name, it might cause trouble, so let's leave it blank." His tone carried a hint of helplessness and caution.
Xu Yuehuai slowly said, "Then let's call him Aqi. If he were always Aqi, he might be able to live happily to a ripe old age. Unfortunately, there are no ifs."
Standing up, Xu Yuehuai picked up Bei Ye's sword and carefully carved the words "A Qi" on the tombstone. Each stroke seemed to be a farewell to the past, a tribute to him, and a way of expressing gratitude.
"Ah Qi, your sister will always remember you," she whispered, then lit the paper money, poured wine on it, and in the firelight, a tear fell from her eye.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze left hand in hand.
The wind rose quietly after they left, carrying a touch of coolness, and seemed to whisper, telling of the joys and sorrows of this world.
Bei Ye, the man who once accompanied them through thick and thin, has turned to dust, but his spirit will live on forever in their hearts, becoming the strength that propels them forward.
However, an untimely figure suddenly appeared before Bei Ye's grave. The old Taoist priest stood in mid-air, his robes fluttering, as if he had descended from the clouds.
He stared in the direction where Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze had disappeared, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.
"Foolish to sacrifice your life for a mere woman, but how can the agreement between us be so easily broken?"
After saying this, the old Taoist priest made a hand gesture, and Bei Ye's tomb suddenly cracked open. He casually picked up Bei Ye's body, turned around, and disappeared into the night.
Meanwhile, Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze, far away in the military camp, were completely unaware of all this. The two walked side by side, each harboring unspeakable worries in their hearts.
Concerned for the safety of the Ghost Doctor, Xu Yuehuai rushed to his residence, only to find the Ghost Doctor pale and barely breathing.
"The Ghost Doctor is clearly healthy and without injury, so why is this happening?"
A glint of recollection flickered in Qi Guze's eyes. "Perhaps, this is similar to the ordeal I experienced before."
Xu Yuehuai hurriedly took out the precious red rose stone pill from her bosom and carefully fed it to the Ghost Doctor. However, after the pill entered his mouth, there was no sign of improvement whatsoever.
She frowned. "Even the red rose stone is ineffective. I must find other treasures that can save him as soon as possible."
Seeing this, Qi Guze volunteered, "Your journey is fraught with unknown dangers, and I cannot let you take any more risks. This time, I must go with you."
A warm feeling welled up in Xu Yuehuai's heart, and she nodded, "Okay, let's go together."
Before setting off, Xu Yuehuai made sure Li Lei guarded the Ghost Doctor and suggested bringing along capable assistants such as Li Guang, Li Wang, Wang Mang, Gu Shen, and Pei Hai. The group was fully prepared and moved quickly.
With her keen senses, Xu Yuehuai led the group for three days and three nights, finally arriving at the edge of a deep pool. The water was crystal clear, yet it exuded a mysterious aura.
Wang Mang was impatient. Before anyone could react, he plunged into the water and soon surfaced, excitedly shouting, "There are so many blue crystals inside!"
Seeing this, Qi Guze quickly directed Gu Shen and the others to go into the water to collect the stones. Sure enough, the bottom of the pool was covered with dazzling blue rose stones, radiating light and breathtakingly beautiful. Working together, everyone quickly collected a large number of blue rose stones.
Upon returning to the military camp, Xu Yuehuai immediately took the Blue Rose Stone to the alchemy room in the back mountain. After careful refining, she finally obtained a new elixir.
She couldn't wait to take the pill back to the Ghost Doctor, and watched as the Ghost Doctor took it, and his previously declining life force miraculously began to recover.
The Ghost Doctor opened his eyes, his gaze filled with disbelief. "I...I'm really healed? This feeling is so real, yet so dreamlike." He gripped Xu Yuehuai's hand tightly, his excitement overflowing.
Looking at the Ghost Doctor's recovered appearance, Xu Yuehuai felt a mix of emotions. "Yes, you're alright. But all of this seems too smooth, which makes one suspicious."
Qi Guze said, "Perhaps this is fate's test for us. Every crisis contains an opportunity. And we just happened to seize it."
The crowd sat in a circle, watching the Ghost Doctor's rebirth, and smiled.
Suddenly, hurried footsteps sounded outside the tent, accompanied by a low shout: "Report! There is a seriously injured woman outside, requesting assistance."
Xu Yuehuai pondered to himself, when will there be a moment of peace in this world of frequent wars?
She glanced at the ghost doctor beside her and saw that he was resting with his eyes closed, seemingly unsurprised by the sudden news.
"Bring him in," Xu Yuehuai instructed softly.
The tent flap was lifted, and a soldier carefully carried in a woman covered in blood—it was Song Luo!
Her face was flushed and her eyes were closed, as if the flame of her life might be extinguished at any moment.
The Ghost Doctor opened his eyes, looked at Xu Yuehuai with a complicated expression, and sighed, "Do you really want me to wake her up? How much of the grudges and affections in this world can you resolve?"
Xu Yuehuai explained, "We need to know who seriously injured her and why she came here. Some things can't be solved by running away."
The Ghost Doctor shook his head helplessly, but said no more. He then got up and began to diagnose Song Luo's injuries.
After emergency treatment, Song Luo's wounds were carefully bandaged, and she gradually regained consciousness. However, her eyes were empty, as if she had lost her soul and spirit.
Once everything had settled down, Xu Yuehuai walked to Song Luo's side and asked softly, "Why did you come here? What exactly happened?"
However, Song Luo's reaction surprised everyone. She suddenly opened her eyes, her gaze filled with terror and wariness, like a startled fawn, and shrank back, crying out in a trembling voice, "Don't come any closer! You bad woman!"
Xu Yuehuai was stunned upon hearing this. When did she become the "bad woman" that Song Luo was talking about?
This sudden accusation left her feeling both bewildered and wronged.
Seeing this, Qi Guze quickly stepped forward, gently put his arm around Xu Yuehuai's shoulder, and softly comforted her, "Ayue, don't be angry, you are the best person in the world."
Just then, Song Luo suddenly shifted her gaze, staring intently at Qi Guze. A look of amazement flashed in her eyes, as if she had seen some rare treasure. Her voice softened considerably: "Handsome brother!"
Qi Guze frowned. Although he was handsome and extraordinary, he hated people judging others by their appearance, let alone such a frivolous title.
He coldly replied, "Get lost!"
He then swung his palm, and an invisible force gently swatted Song Luo away, sending her landing on a soft cushion not far away, without causing her much harm.
Song Luo clutched her chest, looking pitifully at Qi Guze, and said with confusion and grievance, "Pretty brother, you're so fierce!"
