Chapter 1362 The Female Corpse's Coffin

The Ghost Doctor chimed in, “Survival and choice are two interdependent aspects. We bear the mission of saving and protecting. Brother Yan Qing is still waiting for our rescue. We cannot give in to sentimentality.”

"With the wisdom of Senior Ghost Doctor, the composure of the Princess, and my bravery, the three of us working together will surely be able to get Yan Qing safely out of this hellish place," Lu Li said excitedly.

After saying that, the three of them returned to the rock where the Ghost Doctor had hidden Yan Qing.

Although Yan Qing had regained consciousness, he was still very weak.

"You really came."

Xu Yuehuai stepped forward quickly and said gently, "Of course, we said we would go back together, and we will never go back on our word."

The Ghost Doctor walked to Yan Qing's side, his fingers gently gliding over Yan Qing's wrist, his brows relaxing. "Your body is fine for now."

A hint of relief flashed in Yan Qing's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by deep self-reproach. "Why is one person missing? Where is General Liu?"

Xu Yuehuai slowly took out a blood-stained piece of clothing from her bosom. It was General Liu's last possession. "General Liu... he has heroically sacrificed himself."

Yan Qing lowered his head in self-reproach: "It's all my fault. If I had found the exit sooner, General Liu might not have..."

Xu Yuehuai patted his shoulder, "Yan Qing, don't say that. It was our collective negligence that led to General Liu's misfortune. Your safety is the most important thing."

The Ghost Doctor nodded in agreement: "Blaming ourselves now won't help. We must carry on General Liu's last wishes and leave this place safely."

Seeing this, Lu Li stepped forward and, together with the Ghost Doctor, helped Yan Qing up. The four of them then embarked on their journey to find a way out once again.

This time, those once terrifying poisonous insects and traps seem less frightening under the light of unity and hope.

"We will definitely get out of here." Yan Qing looked up into the distance, his eyes shining with an unprecedented light.

Xu Yuehuai and Lu Li smiled at each other; their tacit understanding and trust seemed especially warm in the darkness.

However, just when they thought the dawn was about to break, a mechanism separated them once again.

Xu Yuehuai suddenly felt her feet sink into the ground, and her body involuntarily fell downwards, eventually landing in a pool of nauseating excrement.

She quickly covered her mouth and nose, suppressing her nausea, and used her light-footed skills to leap to the side, secretly wondering, "What kind of eerie place is this?"

Looking around, Xu Yuehuai found herself in a huge cave with only one opening above her that constantly dumped excrement, and below her piles of filth.

Even more shockingly, a group of wild animals of various shapes and sizes were lining up to defecate here, their eyes empty and mechanical, as if controlled by some kind of force.

"Could this also be part of that man in black robes' scheme?" A sense of foreboding welled up in Xu Yuehuai's heart. She cautiously observed her surroundings, trying to find clues to escape.

Suddenly, a huge pile of excrement fell from the sky. She quickly dodged it, secretly relieved.

Once the dust settled, Xu Yuehuai's gaze was drawn to the red, glowing fragments in the excrement.

She cautiously approached and gently picked up a fragment with the tip of her sword. It emitted a faint yet strange light, as if it contained some unknown power.

"What secrets do these fragments hold?" Xu Yuehuai was filled with doubt and curiosity.

Just as she was about to investigate further, a deep roar came from the depths of the cave, and then a group of wild beasts attracted by the red light began to approach her.

Xu Yuehuai immediately realized the danger. She quickly put away the fragments and used her light-footed skills to move through the cave, avoiding the pursuit of wild beasts.

"What exactly is that guy trying to do? These wild beasts, excrement, and these glowing fragments... what kind of conspiracy is hidden behind all of this?"

As Xu Yuehuai ran, she pondered that perhaps only by uncovering the mystery behind this could she find the real way out and comfort General Liu's spirit in heaven.

She sped through the deep, narrow cave, the roars of wild beasts like the whispers of death following closely behind.

Suddenly, an idea struck her. She swerved left and right, causing the wild beasts to collide with each other, thus slowing down their pursuit.

Just as they were trying to find a way out, a cold, biting wind swept in from behind, carrying a chill that made their hearts tremble.

Xu Yuehuai turned around abruptly and saw a group of grotesque ghost soldiers, holding gleaming weapons, silently appearing at the cave entrance, completely blocking her escape route.

These ghostly soldiers moved swiftly and silently, like messengers from the underworld, sending chills down one's spine.

"I didn't expect you to be here with these ghost soldiers." Xu Yuehuai knew that the man in black robes must be hiding nearby.

She didn't wait for the ghost soldiers to attack her; she quickly turned offense into defense!

However, she soon realized that she would not be able to break through the encirclement on her own.

The man in black robes slowly emerged from behind the ghostly soldiers, his face cold and sinister. "Xu Yuehuai, you are indeed exceptionally clever, but sometimes exceptional wisdom can become a stumbling block for you. Today, you will remain here and become part of my grand plan."

Xu Yuehuai sneered, about to retort, when she suddenly felt a strange power stirring within her. Looking down, she discovered that the red fragments she had collected earlier had somehow merged into her skin, unleashing a powerful force.

This power seemed to be connected to her bloodline, causing her internal strength to surge in an instant.

"You need to have the strength to have your wildest ideas!" Xu Yuehua shouted, his figure bursting forth as he charged towards the man in black robes like a rabbit.

Her swordsmanship became incomparably fierce at this moment, each strike containing the power to tear space apart.

The ghostly soldiers fell one after another, but the man in black robes just sneered, seemingly unconcerned about the losses.

"I'll return those words to you." The man in black robes smiled contemptuously, waved his hands, and the surrounding space began to distort and deform. A powerful suction force pulled Xu Yuehuai into an unknown abyss.

She struggled desperately, but found herself powerless to resist the force. Just as she was about to be sucked into the darkness, a dazzling light suddenly pierced the sky, illuminating the entire cave.

Xu Yuehuai felt a sudden light before her eyes, and then found herself in a magnificent tomb chamber.

In the center of the tomb chamber stood a magnificent coffin, inlaid with dazzling gems that shimmered with brilliant light.

Beside the coffin were countless red fragments, much larger than any she had ever seen before. They emitted a soft and mysterious light, illuminating the entire tomb chamber as if it were a fairyland.

Xu Yuehuai was startled and was about to step forward to check when she suddenly felt a powerful force surging out of the coffin, causing her to stagger backward.

She steadied herself, gazing warily at the coffin, her heart filled with doubt and unease.

"You didn't do all this just to resurrect the person in this coffin, did you?" Xu Yuehuai questioned loudly.
