The man in black robes slowly entered the tomb chamber, his voice echoing in the empty space: "So what if he is? This man is a genius that my clan has only seen once in a thousand years. If he can be resurrected, he will surely help me complete my hegemony of unifying the world."
Upon hearing this, Xu Yuehuai's resolve to stop the man in black robes strengthened even further. She gripped her longsword tightly, preparing for a life-or-death struggle with him.
However, the man in black robes did not rush to make a move. Instead, he smiled coldly and ordered the ghost soldiers to surround and attack Xu Yuehuai.
Xu Yuehuai was agile and moved freely among the ghost soldiers, but as time went by, she gradually felt her strength failing.
Seeing this, the man in black robes curled into a cruel smile, as if everything was under his control.
Just as Xu Yuehuai was about to exhaust herself, she suddenly realized that she had inadvertently entered the protective range of the coffin.
A thought struck her, and she immediately seized the opportunity to use the female corpse in the coffin as a hostage, threatening the man in black robes to let her leave.
"If you dare take another step closer, I will destroy this female corpse, so that you will never be able to realize your resurrection plan!" Xu Yuehua shouted loudly, while pointing his long sword directly at the female corpse in the coffin.
Upon hearing this, the man in black robes' expression changed drastically; he never expected Xu Yuehuai to be so resolute.
"You...you dare!" the man in black roared, but his steps involuntarily stopped. He knew that if the female corpse was damaged, his plan to resurrect her would be in vain.
Seeing this, Xu Yuehuai was overjoyed and was about to take the opportunity to escape when he suddenly felt an unprecedented sense of crisis.
She turned around abruptly, only to see the man in black robes appear behind her like a ghost, a pitch-black dagger in his hand aimed straight at her heart.
"Die!" the black-robed man sneered, his dagger about to touch Xu Yuehuai's skin.
However, at this critical moment, the female corpse in the coffin suddenly opened her eyes, and a powerful soul force surged out from her body, causing the man in black robes to retreat repeatedly.
"You...you actually woke up on your own!" The man in black robes stared at the female corpse in horror, his eyes filled with disbelief.
The female corpse slowly sat up. Although her face had turned to bones, her eyes seemed to contain endless wisdom and power. She gently raised her hand, and a soft light enveloped Xu Yuehuai, instantly healing all her injuries.
"Child, thank you for waking me up." The female corpse's voice rang in Xu Yuehuai's ears, gentle and kind.
Xu Yuehuai was stunned; she never expected to receive help from this mysterious female corpse.
"Who are you?" Xu Yuehuai asked in a trembling voice.
The female corpse smiled slightly and said, "I am a saintess of an ancient clan from a thousand years ago. I perished here because of a fierce battle. This person attempted to use my power to resurrect his people, but their conspiracy will ultimately fail."
"Then why did you help me?" Xu Yuehuai asked, puzzled.
The female corpse smiled and said, "Because I saw the kindness and courage in your heart. In this world shrouded in darkness and conspiracy, you still hold fast to your beliefs and principles. I believe you will become a key figure in changing this world."
Xu Yuehuai looked at the female corpse gratefully and said, "Thank you. I will continue to work hard and live up to your expectations."
The female corpse smiled and nodded, then transformed into a dazzling light, merging into the red fragments, which then flew up and surrounded Xu Yuehuai.
Xu Yuehuai's figure was gently enveloped by countless tiny red rays of light, like a rose blooming in the morning light, both mysterious and full of power.
In the light, she slowly opened her eyes, her gaze gleaming with an unprecedented light—a resolute defiance of fate and awe at the unknown power.
"What is this?" Xu Yuehuai asked, surprised and full of curiosity.
Her body seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, every cell was cheering and jumping for joy, the feeling of rebirth was so strong that she almost suffocated.
Upon seeing this, the man in black robes' expression changed drastically, and an incredulous fear flashed in his deep-set eyes.
"Impossible! This power... how could you possibly possess it!" His voice was hoarse and urgent, as if every word carried the despair deep within his heart.
Xu Yuehuai took a deep breath, turned around and looked at the magnificent coffin, feeling a surge of gratitude towards the mysterious female corpse.
"Thank you for your gift, senior. I will use this power for the righteous path." Her words were soft, but firm, each word like a vow echoing in the air.
Upon hearing this, the man in black robes became even more distorted, and he burst into maniacal laughter, his laughter filled with endless hatred and resentment.
"The righteous path? You think you can change anything with this power? You're nothing but a pawn in my plan!" He waved his hand abruptly, and the remaining Yin soldiers surged towards Xu Yuehuai like a tide, attempting to cover up their defeat with a final act of madness.
A cold glint flashed in Xu Yuehuai's eyes. She gripped her longsword tightly, the tip trembling slightly, as if about to unleash a dragon's roar.
"You're wrong. I've never been anyone's pawn. Today, I will use this power to end your ambition!" Her voice was cold and resolute, each word like a sharp blade, shattering the black-robed man's illusions.
The battle broke out again, but this time, Xu Yuehuai was no longer the one who passively endured it.
Her sword light was like a dragon, and each swing was accompanied by a thunderous sound. The ghost soldiers seemed so weak in front of her, and they fell down one after another, turning into dust.
Upon seeing this, a look of terror flashed in the black-robed man's eyes. He desperately tried to command more ghostly soldiers, but to no avail.
"How did you integrate with that power so well? Who were you before you transmigrated here? What is your relationship with the ancient clan?" The man in black robes finally couldn't help but ask.
Xu Yuehuai sneered, pointing the tip of her sword directly at the man in black.
"I am just an unknown person. And you are destined to be trampled underfoot by someone like me."
The man in black robes turned ashen-faced. He roared and charged at Xu Yuehuai without regard for his own safety. But Xu Yuehuai simply waved his hand, and a flash of red light appeared. The man in black robes was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily to the ground, blood streaming from his mouth.
"Your farce should end now." Xu Yuehuai's voice was as cold as ice, her eyes showing no hesitation or pity. She walked step by step toward the man in black robes, each step exuding unquestionable authority.
The man in black robes looked at Xu Yuehuai approaching and asked with difficulty, "Why...why is God doing this to me?" His voice was so weak that it was almost inaudible.
Xu Yuehuai stopped and looked at him coldly.
"Because justice may be delayed, but it will never be absent. Everything you have done will eventually be punished as you deserve." With that, she raised her longsword, the tip pointing directly at the black-robed man's heart.
The man in black closed his eyes, awaiting the final end. However, just as the sword tip was about to pierce his chest, he suddenly laughed. That laugh contained both relief and mockery.
