Chapter 1355 Speculation about Another World

Upon hearing this, the Ghost Doctor's eyes flashed with a glint of light: "It's just an illusion? That's so real. However, I also have a secret method to help everyone break free from this illusion." With that, he took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and rapidly formed hand seals, silently chanting an ancient incantation. As his incantation began, a mysterious power began to permeate the air, gradually eroding the false illusions.

Gradually, the surrounding scenery began to distort and collapse, and the warm and safe feeling dissipated. When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves still in the cold and damp cave ruins, surrounded by those terrifying venomous snakes, and the unwavering gazes between their companions.

"We're not dead yet!" Lu Li broke the silence first, his voice filled with the joy of surviving a disaster.

“Yes, as long as we are alive, there is hope.” Yan Qing nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with an indomitable light.

General Liu patted the Ghost Doctor on the shoulder to express his gratitude: "Thank you, Ghost Doctor. Your secret technique saved our lives."

The Ghost Doctor smiled slightly and shook his head: "It's all thanks to everyone's hard work. We are a team, and no one can be missing."

At this moment, their bond deepened. Facing a life-or-death ordeal together, they were no longer just companions, but brothers and sisters bound by life and death. This sudden crisis also strengthened their resolve to survive and escape.

Suddenly, the earth shook violently, and the entire cave seemed to be torn apart by an irresistible force. The ground beneath their feet collapsed instantly, and they were swept up by an invisible force, falling into different passages, as if stepping into a trial ground of fate.

Xu Yuehuai felt a sudden darkness before her eyes, followed by a dizzying spin. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a strange and eerie space.

All around was pitch black, with only a few faint green lights flickering in the distance. Those lights seemed to have a life of their own, leaping and wandering in the darkness, forming a series of unsettling scenes.

"This place... feels somewhat familiar?" Xu Yuehua muttered to herself, a strong sense of unease rising within her.

She looked around, trying to find her companions, but all she received was endless darkness and deathly silence.

Just then, the eerie green light suddenly coalesced into shape, transforming into various dark monsters of different forms. Some were as large as giant beasts, while others were as ethereal as ghosts, each exuding a suffocating aura of evil.

"Hehehe!"

They seemed to sense Xu Yuehuai's presence, and they all let out piercing screams as they pounced on her.

"Why are so many unrealistic things appearing lately?" Xu Yuehuai was shocked. She quickly drew her longsword, ready to fight.

However, when her sword light clashed with those dark monsters, it was like a stone sinking into the sea, having no effect whatsoever. Those monsters seemed to be formed from pure darkness, completely immune to physical attacks.

"Could it be that those who come to this place are from different levels of the world? Wouldn't that mean there will be many powerful and terrifying monsters?"

The thought flashed through Xu Yuehuai's mind, and an unprecedented sense of crisis surged into her heart. She knew she couldn't sit idly by and wait to die; she had to find a way to deal with these demons.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Observing the attack patterns of these monsters, she discovered that although they were powerful, their movements seemed to follow a certain pattern. An idea struck her, and she decided to use this pattern to fight back.

In an instant, she dodged the monsters' attacks with a swift movement, while simultaneously searching for their weaknesses.

However, these monsters did not seem to have any obvious weaknesses. Their attacks were like a relentless tide, leaving Xu Yuehuai exhausted.

Her body was soon covered with wounds, from which black energy kept gushing out, as if it was devouring her life force.

"I can't give up like this!" Xu Yuehua gritted her teeth. She thought of her child, and of Qi Guze, who was still waiting for her return. She had to live, for them, and for everyone who cared about her.

She mustered all her strength and charged at the demon once more. This time, she no longer swung her sword blindly, but instead used her speed and agility to search for the demon's weaknesses.

Finally, in a fierce exchange, she noticed a flicker of hesitation in the eyes of one of the demons. Seizing the opportunity, she swiftly thrust her longsword towards the demon's eyes.

With a soft "plop," the longsword pierced the demon's eyes, and a stream of black liquid gushed from the wound.

The monster let out a shrill scream, its body began to twist and deform, and finally turned into a wisp of black smoke and dissipated into the air.

"Found it!" Xu Yuehuai was overjoyed. She realized that the eyes of these monsters might be their weakness.

She immediately adjusted her tactics, focusing her attacks on the monsters' eyes. Sure enough, as the monsters fell one by one, the pressure around her gradually lessened.

However, the good fortune didn't last long. More monsters emerged from the darkness, seemingly enraged by Xu Yuehuai's actions, and their attacks became even more ferocious.

Although Xu Yuehuai fought back with all her might, she was no match for the overwhelming number of demons and was soon surrounded by them again.

This time, she had no strength left to resist. She was repeatedly knocked to the ground by the demons, her wounds multiplying, and the black aura threatened to completely engulf her. She felt her life force rapidly draining away, and her consciousness began to blur.

"No... How can I die here..." Xu Yuehuai murmured to herself, struggling to hold on to her last breath and running forward with all her remaining strength.

However, those monsters seemed to have inexhaustible stamina and kept chasing after them relentlessly.

Finally, Xu Yuehuai's strength was exhausted, and she could no longer run. She collapsed to the ground, watching helplessly as the demons approached her. She closed her eyes, preparing to face her fate.

However, just as she was in despair, a warm and familiar power suddenly surged into her body.

She opened her eyes and found herself enveloped in a faint light. The demons that came into contact with this light screamed in agony as their bodies began to melt and vanished.

“It’s…it’s Aze’s power!” A warm feeling welled up in Xu Yuehuai’s heart. She realized that this was Qi Guze’s help at a critical moment.

"Aze, he can definitely sense everything that's happening here. Perhaps you're right beside me right now? I won't let you down!"

She struggled to her feet, her gaze fixed resolutely on the distance. She knew that as long as she had a breath left, she would never give up hope.

She continued forward, searching for a way out in the darkness.
