Qi Guze's expression was equally solemn. He frowned and scanned his surroundings with sharp eyes.
Suddenly, he seemed to notice something and pointed ahead: "Look there!" Xu Yuehuai looked in the direction he was pointing and saw a faint light flickering not far ahead.
The light flickered, seemingly guiding them through the darkness. Xu Yuehuai's heart skipped a beat; could this be the cave entrance they were looking for?
However, when they tried to approach the light, they discovered an even more powerful force emanating from the depths of the water, which held them firmly in place.
Xu Yuehuai felt a chill rise from the soles of her feet, penetrating straight to her heart. She couldn't help but shiver, a strong sense of unease welling up inside her.
"What exactly is this power?" Xu Yuehuai's voice trembled slightly. She felt as if she were in a huge mystery, surrounded by the unknown and danger.
Qi Guze silently observed his surroundings, his brows furrowed, seemingly pondering a solution. Suddenly, a glint flashed in his eyes, as if he had thought of something.
“I understand!” He turned to Xu Yuehuai and said, “This power seems to be an ancient seal, preventing us from entering that cave. We need to find a way to break the seal before we can move forward.” Upon hearing this, a glimmer of hope flashed in Xu Yuehuai’s eyes. She nodded, indicating her agreement with Qi Guze’s view.
The two began searching for clues to break the seal, but the surroundings were pitch black, making it difficult to see anything. They could only rely on the faint light in their hands to grope their way forward in the darkness. Suddenly, Xu Yuehuai seemed to step on something. Looking down, she saw a stone slab engraved with strange runes.
"Aze, look at this!" Xu Yuehuai handed the stone slab to Qi Guze. Qi Guze took the slab and carefully examined the runes on it. His brows were furrowed, as if he was pondering the meaning of these runes. Suddenly, a glint flashed in his eyes, as if he had thought of something.
“These runes… I seem to have seen similar records in my family’s ancient books.” Qi Guze’s voice was tinged with excitement. “This should be an ancient sealing technique, which can only be broken through a specific method.”
Upon hearing this, Xu Yuehuai felt a surge of joy. She knew that as long as they could break the seal, they could enter the cave and unravel all the mysteries. Therefore, she and Qi Guze began to attempt to break the seal based on the records in the ancient texts.
However, breaking the seal was not easy. They tried many methods, but to no avail. Just as they were about to give up, they suddenly heard a strange sound. The sound seemed to be coming from the depths of the water, low and eerie.
The two exchanged a glance, both feeling a sudden, inexplicable panic. They didn't know what was making the sound, or whether it posed a threat. However, they knew that if they wanted to move forward, they had to face this unknown challenge.
So they mustered their courage and swam toward the direction from which the sound came. As they got closer to the source of the sound, they found that the resistance was getting stronger. But they did not give up; instead, they swam forward with even greater determination.
Finally, they arrived at the source of the sound. There stood a massive stone gate, its surface covered in strange runes. The sound seemed to emanate from these runes.
“It seems we’ve found the key to breaking the seal,” Qi Guze said, pointing to the runes on the stone door. “These runes should be the key to the seal. As long as we can decipher their meaning, we can open this stone door.”
Xu Yuehua nodded in agreement. The two then began to carefully study the runes. After some effort, they finally deciphered their meaning and successfully opened the stone door.
The stone door slowly opened, revealing a passage. At the other end of the passage lay what appeared to be the cave they had been searching for. The two exchanged a smile, their joy beyond words. They knew they had successfully broken the seal and were about to unravel all the mysteries.
However, just as they were about to enter the passage, they suddenly heard a rustling sound from the side. They turned around and saw Qi Zi'ang and Tie Chunsheng swimming over from beside a rock. Their hair was covered with bits of grass, but their faces showed a delighted smile.
"Mother! We're here too!" Qi Zi'ang shouted excitedly. Tie Chunsheng followed closely behind, looking at Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze with anticipation.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze were both surprised to see the two children suddenly appear. Looking at them, Xu Yuehuai felt a surge of warmth in her heart. She knew that although these two children were still young, they had been quietly supporting them all along.
"Why are you here?" Xu Yuehuai asked softly. Her tone was full of care and worry, fearing that the two children might get hurt in this dangerous environment.
Qi Ziang and Tie Chunsheng exchanged a glance, then said in unison, "We want to help too!" Their eyes shone with determination, as if they were ready to face any difficulties.
Looking into their determined eyes, Xu Yuehuai sighed helplessly. She knew that these two children had grown up and longed to face difficulties and challenges like adults. However, she also understood that this mission was too dangerous, and she couldn't let them take the risk.
"I appreciate your kindness," Xu Yuehuai said gently, "but this mission is too dangerous, you should go back."
However, Qi Zi'ang and Tie Chunsheng showed no sign of backing down. They looked firmly at Xu Yuehuai and said, "Mother (Grandma), we are no longer children. We have the ability to help you, and we are willing to put in the effort for this mission."
Seeing their resolute eyes, Xu Yuehuai knew that no matter what she said, she couldn't change their minds. So, she could only nod and say, "Alright, you must stay behind us from now on and absolutely cannot act on your own. You must follow our instructions in everything, understand?"
Upon hearing this, Qi Zi'ang and Tie Chunsheng immediately nodded in agreement. Excited smiles appeared on their faces, as if they couldn't wait to begin this adventure.
So the group continued forward, swimming with all their might across the water, and finally reached the edge of the cave entrance. A sinister aura emanated from the cave, sending chills down their spines, as if foreshadowing impending danger. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, both feeling a sudden, inexplicable tension.
"It seems this is the place we've been looking for," Qi Guze said in a deep voice, his voice echoing heavily in the empty cave entrance. "However, the danger here is probably far beyond our imagination. We must proceed with caution."
