Chapter 875 Finally Awake

The entire valley was filled with a tense yet orderly atmosphere.

In this battle, Xu Yuehuai demonstrated outstanding combat skills and leadership abilities. She was not only able to react quickly in times of crisis, but also to accurately judge the enemy's movements and intentions.

Her calmness and decisiveness earned the respect of the other guards, and made them trust and rely on her even more.

After a period of cleanup and restoration, the traces of the battle in the valley gradually disappeared.

“Madam, we have taken care of it,” a guard reported as he approached.

Xu Yuehua nodded without speaking. She knew this was only a temporary calm; the real battle was yet to come. She looked up at the sky, silently praying that they could weather this crisis.

Immediately afterwards, Xu Yuehuai stood by the pool, silently praying that Qi Guze would recover soon. Her heart was filled with anxiety and anticipation, but also with a sense of warmth.

After soaking in the pool for a while, Qi Guze slowly opened his eyes.

Seeing Xu Yuehuai's anxious expression and the joyful looks of everyone, he immediately understood everything.

"Aze, you're finally awake," Xu Yuehuai said excitedly, his eyes slightly moist.

Qi Guze smiled gently and said, "Thank you, Yue Huai. If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would never have woken up again."

Xu Yuehuai shook her head and said, "There's no need for formalities between us. The most important thing is for you to get better quickly."

"And this is all thanks to the Ghost Doctor!"

Qi Guze looked at the Ghost Doctor beside him and cupped his hands in thanks: "Thank you!"

“Your Highness, there’s no need to be so formal. Now that you’re awake, come with me back to the capital to recuperate,” said the Ghost Doctor.

"good."

Xu Yuehuai and the other guards helped Qi Guze out of the pool and into the sedan chair next to him.

A few drops of water still clung to Qi Guze's face, making him look somewhat shy. Xu Yuehuai helped him take off his wet clothes and gently dried his hair and body with a towel.

Her technique was skillful, and it was clear that this wasn't the first time she had done something like this.

"I never thought our Regent would be shy," Xu Yuehuai said with a smile, looking at Qi Guze's flushed face.

Qi Guze gently hugged her and said in a low voice, "A-Yue, you're being naughty."

Feeling his body temperature and heartbeat, Xu Yuehuai felt much more at ease. She hugged him back and said softly, "I was so worried about you while you were unconscious."

Qi Guze smiled slightly in her arms: "I'm awake now, you don't need to worry too much."

After embracing for a while, Xu Yuehuai reluctantly stepped out of the sedan chair.

She watched as Qi Guze was carried into the sedan chair, and then gently closed the sedan chair door.

"We can set off now," Xu Yuehuai instructed.

"yes!"

The guards carried the sedan chair down the mountain.

Xu Yuehuai followed beside the sedan chair, constantly observing Qi Guze's condition. His complexion had regained its rosy hue, and his breathing had become much more steady. Xu Yuehuai knew that the medicine was working, and she was very gratified.

Qi Guze reached out from the sedan chair and took Xu Yuehuai's hand. His palm was warm, which made Xu Yuehuai feel at ease. She looked up at him and found him smiling at her.

Those deep eyes were filled with tenderness and gratitude.

"Ah Yue, thank you," Qi Guze said softly, "for always being there for me."

Xu Yuehuai gently shook her head: "Don't say that. I will do everything I can to protect you."

The two walked and chatted, creating a warm atmosphere. They talked about everyday things, teasing and joking with each other, making the journey seem relaxed and enjoyable.

Throughout this time, the Ghost Doctor silently followed beside them. He watched the two so intimately connected, a slight smile playing on his lips.

He knew they had weathered the crisis in their lives, and now all they needed to do was enjoy each other's company.

After walking for a while, Xu Yuehuai and his group arrived at a small town at the foot of the mountain.

Night had fallen, and only a few sparse stars twinkled in the sky. The town was quiet and peaceful, broken only by the occasional bark of a dog.

The Ghost Doctor led the group to the villagers of the town. He bowed respectfully with a gentle smile on his face. "Excuse me, we have come to seek your help. This young master is seriously injured and needs rest and treatment."

An older villager nodded, indicating he understood. He turned and waved to the others, and soon several villagers lined up in front of Xu Yuehuai and his group. One of them said, "You can come with me first."

The group followed the villagers through the town and arrived at a simple little house.

The guards carried the sedan chair and escorted Qi Guze to his room. Xu Yuehuai stayed by his side the whole time, never leaving his bedside.

Qi Guze's face was pale, but his eyes showed a firm resolve. He opened his mouth slightly and said in a weak voice, "A-Yue, thank you for your hard work."

Xu Yuehuai gently grasped Qi Guze's hand, a tender smile appearing on her face, "Don't worry, we will return to the Great Zhou Kingdom safely."

At this moment, the Ghost Doctor walked in from outside, carrying a food box in his hand. "This is dinner prepared for you by the villagers. Have something to eat."

Xu Yuehua nodded gently and opened the food box. Inside was a bowl of steaming chicken soup and several steamed buns. She carefully fed Qi Guze, feeding him the soup spoonful by spoonful.

Although Qi Guze was physically weak, his eyes were filled with gratitude.

In the courtyard outside, the Ghost Doctor and his guards sat together eating. Their faces showed signs of exhaustion, but their eyes were bright.

They knew that if anyone was injured, they had to step forward and do everything in their power.

As night fell, the town fell silent. Only this small house still shone with a warm light. Xu Yuehuai carefully took care of Qi Guze, and their figures looked especially warm and cozy under the lamplight.

That night, the villagers of the town paid extra attention to the small house. They offered Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guzhe all the help they could, hoping to help them get through this difficult time.

The next morning, Qi Guze's condition improved. His face was no longer so pale, and his eyes had become brighter.

Looking at him, Xu Yuehuai's worries finally eased a little.

At this moment, the Ghost Doctor walked in, his eyes full of relief as he looked at Qi Guze. "His injuries have stabilized, and he should be fine after a period of rest."

Xu Yuehuai breathed a soft sigh of relief. "Thank you."

The Ghost Doctor waved his hand, "It's what I should do." He turned to Qi Guze and said, "You need to rest now. Leave the rest to us."

Qi Guze nodded slightly, "Thank you for your trouble."

"Then let's set off back to the capital now," said the Ghost Doctor.
