Chapter 1204 Targeting Every Point

Li, Zhao, and the others gazed in the direction their master and grandmaster had departed, their hearts filled with gratitude and respect. They knew that their master and grandmaster had always been silently protecting them, providing guidance and support. Now, they too would emulate their master and grandmaster, upholding justice and safeguarding their homeland.

"Master! Grandmaster! We will definitely uphold justice and live up to your expectations!" Xiao Li and Xiao Zhao said in unison.

In the days that followed, the young martial artists, including Xiao Li and Xiao Zhao, began to train even harder, constantly improving their skills. They knew that only with sufficient strength could they protect their homes and the villagers from the harassment of evil forces.

Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze led their guards deeper into the valley to search for any remaining evil forces. They traversed the dense forest and trekked along rugged mountain paths, remaining constantly vigilant. Their figures moved silently through the trees, like ghosts in the night.

One evening, in the dense forest, the afterglow of the setting sun cast a golden glow on the leaves. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze, leading a group of guards, were patrolling the forest when a slight noise suddenly alerted them.

Xu Yuehuai frowned slightly, listening intently. Her gaze was sharp as an eagle's, not missing a single abnormality. Qi Guze gripped his sword hilt tightly, his body tense, ready to deal with any unexpected situation at any moment.

"Something's up!" Xu Yuehuai whispered, her voice low but carrying an undeniable authority. The guards immediately surrounded her, forming a tight formation.

They cautiously approached the source of the sound, and from the depths of the bushes, they could see several figures looming. These people were ragged and their faces were covered in filth; they were clearly thugs who had been on the run for many days.

"So it's these remnants of the thugs!" Qi Guze sneered, a hint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes. These thugs had committed numerous atrocities in the town, and the authorities had been pursuing them relentlessly.

"Don't make any rash moves. Let's see what other accomplices they have." Xu Yuehuai signaled her guards to remain vigilant while carefully observing the surroundings. She knew that these villains must have something to rely on to be able to hide here.

The villains seemed to have noticed Xu Yuehuai and his group's arrival. They began to panic, looking around frantically for an escape route. However, they were already surrounded by the guards and had nowhere to run.

"Quickly, surround them!" Xu Yuehuai gave the order, and the guards immediately sprang into action. They were well-trained and worked in perfect coordination, quickly cornering the villains.

Seeing this, the villains knew they had nowhere to escape, so they drew their weapons, ready to fight to the death. However, their strength was far inferior to that of the guards, and they were quickly subdued.

Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze stepped forward, coldly staring at the thugs. Their eyes were filled with disgust and anger; they deeply hated what these thugs had done.

"Tie them up and take them back to the government office to report," Xu Yuehuai ordered. The guards immediately set to work, binding the villains one by one.

Just then, a strange wind blew by, and a sinister laugh suddenly echoed through the forest. The laugh was eerie and terrifying, sending chills down their spines. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze immediately looked around warily, but the depths of the forest were pitch black, and they could see nothing at all.

"Who is it? Show yourself!" Qi Guze shouted, his voice echoing loudly through the forest. However, the voice never appeared again, as if it had vanished into thin air.

Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, both feeling a sense of unease. They knew that this battle was far from over, and the villains might have accomplices lurking in the shadows, ready to attack at any moment.

"We must proceed with caution and not let our guard down," Xu Yuehuai said to Qi Guze in a low voice. Although her voice was calm, it conveyed a sense of determination and decisiveness.

Qi Guze nodded in agreement. He knew Xu Yuehuai's wisdom and courage well and had full confidence in her judgment.

The two men, accompanied by their guards, continued forward, carefully searching every corner of the forest. They knew that only by finding the villains lurking in the shadows could they completely eliminate this threat.

As night deepened, the light in the forest grew dimmer. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze, leading their guards, groped their way forward in the darkness. Their steps were slow and heavy, but each one was filled with determination and resolve.

Suddenly, a slight noise alerted them again. Xu Yuehuai immediately signaled the guards to stop, and she listened quietly, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound.

"Over there!" Qi Guze said, pointing in a direction. His gaze was sharp as an eagle's, seemingly able to see through everything in the darkness.

Xu Yuehuai nodded and led his guards stealthily toward that direction. They carefully circled around the large trees, afraid of alerting the villains hiding in the shadows.

Finally, they arrived at an open space. Night had fallen, and the stars twinkled. Not far ahead, a group of figures could be vaguely seen. They sat together, seemingly discussing something in hushed tones. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, a resolute glint in their eyes.

"It seems our target is right there," Xu Yuehuai said softly, her voice revealing determination and composure.

Qi Guze nodded, gripping his longsword tightly, his expression solemn: "It's time to settle this."

They approached silently, their bodyguards close behind, each face etched with resolve. When they were close enough, Xu Yuehuai gave the order: "Go!"

The guards charged towards the group of villains like arrows released from a bow. The glint of swords and the clang of metal echoed through the night sky, a thick, chilling atmosphere filling the air.

The thugs were clearly caught off guard by the sudden attack and were initially thrown into disarray, but they quickly organized a resistance. However, they were no match for the well-trained guards and were soon defeated.

Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze personally stepped forward and subdued the last thug. The thug was terrified and kept begging for mercy.

"Tell me, who is the mastermind behind this?" Xu Yuehuai asked sharply, his eyes flashing with cold light.

The thug's lips trembled, but he refused to utter a single word. At this moment, Qi Guze stepped forward, grabbed the thug's collar, and said coldly, "Don't be stubborn. Our patience is limited."

The thug trembled with fear and finally spoke: "It's... a mysterious person, and we don't know his true identity."

Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, a hint of disappointment flashing in their eyes. They knew that finding the mastermind behind it all would likely require considerable effort.

Just then, that eerie voice rang out again: "Hahaha, you'll get your comeuppance sooner or later!" The voice echoed in the night sky, sending chills down everyone's spine.
