Although they've been married for a long time, Fang Qiao still couldn't help but blush when talking about intimate things.
"We'll talk about tonight's business."
She nudged Cheng Baidong's shoulder, avoiding his burning gaze: "Let go of me first."
"Don't loosen it."
Fueled by alcohol, Cheng Baidong acted unreasonably, his strong arms tightly gripping her slender waist, demanding a definite answer from her.
"We haven't been together in so long, can you bear to see me suffer like this, my love?"
His voice was hoarse, with a hint of pitifulness in it.
The last time the couple were intimate was when Fang Qiao was pregnant with Chuan Chuan and Yue Yue, and even then it was just a brief encounter, they didn't get to enjoy themselves fully.
After giving birth to Chuan Chuan and Yue Yue, Fang Qiao's heart was even more focused on her two children, neglecting the feelings of her husband.
Thinking of this, Fang Qiao's heart softened, and she relented: "I, I promise, please let me go first."
"Wife, you're so good." Cheng Baidong immediately cupped Fang Qiao's face and kissed her repeatedly.
A kiss with a faint smell of alcohol landed on her face, and Fang Qiao leaned back to try to avoid it: "Okay, okay, stop kissing me, you smell of alcohol."
An'an, who was standing next to her, giggled as she watched this scene, thinking that her parents were just joking around and wanted to join in.
She scrambled onto Fang Qiao, using both her hands and feet: "Mommy~ Mommy~ Dear~"
"Oh dear, does our An'an want a kiss too? Come here, let Mommy smell sweet."
Fang Qiao scooped An An into his arms, pinched her armpits with both hands, lifted her up, and then gave her several loud kisses on the face.
An'an was amused and kept giggling. After Fang Qiao finished kissing her, she turned her little body and stretched out her hands to Cheng Baidong: "Daddy, Daddy, kiss me~"
"Oh, Daddy gets some too?" Cheng Baidong was overjoyed and immediately took An'an into his arms: "You're such a sweet little angel!"
After playing for a while, An'an got sleepy, kept yawning, and rubbed her eyes.
Fang Qiao yawned as well, and pulled An An into her arms to sleep with her.
An'an fell asleep quickly. Fang Qiao only patted her bottom a few times, and she closed her eyes and fell asleep peacefully.
Fang Qiao looked up at Cheng Baidong and asked him, "Do you want to take a nap?"
"No, thank you," Cheng Baidong said. "You stay and sleep with the child. I'm going to work overtime at the ministry to work on something small."
Fang Qiao nodded and closed her eyes.
Cheng Baidong took the coat from the hanger, draped it over his arm, and left the inner room, closing the door slightly behind him.
As I walked out of the main room, I ran into Xiao Jing, who was returning from hanging out the laundry.
Cheng Baidong told her, "Listen to the sounds from inside the room. If the two kids wake up, please tell your sister-in-law."
Fang Qiao couldn't handle three children by herself.
Xiao Jing nodded: "I know."
"I'm leaving."
As Cheng Baidong left his house and stepped out of the alley, he heard a cry from above.
He looked up and saw the little Vermilion Bird swooping down at him from the sky, moving with great speed and urgency.
His expression remained unchanged. Little Vermilion Bird, finding it uninteresting, slowed down and obediently landed on his shoulder.
"You're so boring. You don't even have a smile on your face when you're away from Sister Fang Qiao."
Cheng Baidong raised his hand and set up an isolation barrier to prevent eavesdropping. His tone was serious: "What did I tell you? Once you leave the house, you are not allowed to speak human language."
Little Vermilion Bird shrank back guiltily: "I know, I know, there won't be a next time."
Upon hearing this tone, Cheng Baidong knew that Xiao Zhuque was just giving him the runaround again.
He said with a hint of helplessness, "Since I've run into you here, let's go to the lab together."
The little Vermilion Bird's head immediately drooped: "Again? This time it's blood drawing or feather plucking?"
“No need,” Cheng Bodong said. “The higher-ups want to send someone to explore that ruin in Changbai Mountain. Is there any relevant information in the inheritance you’ve passed down? Tell me about it.”
"What?" Little Vermilion Bird was annoyed and couldn't help but retort, "Did I tell you to dig up my ancestors' graves?"
Cheng Baidong gave it a chilling glance: "Don't you want to cultivate anymore? Or do you want to stay in your current bird form forever?"
Upon hearing Cheng Baidong's words, Little Zhuque immediately shut up and stopped being sarcastic.
There is almost no spiritual energy from the outside world. If we don't think of a way, in a few years, we will probably degenerate to the point where we can't even speak.
Exploring ruins is also a way to find a way out.
If one could cultivate immortality, who would want to be an ordinary person with a lifespan of only a hundred years?
In this respect, it achieves the same goal as Cheng Baidong, albeit through different means.

Fang Qiao slept until evening.
When she woke up, An'an was still sleeping on her stomach with her little bottom sticking up.
The twin brothers in the crib were awake, their eyes open, stomping their feet at each other. Surprisingly, neither of them cried.
Fang Qiao rolled out of bed and first touched the diapers of the two children; they were both dry.
"Chuan Chuan, Yue Yue, you're such good boys. You didn't cry when you woke up, and you can play by yourself now." Fang Qiao bent down and picked up Chuan Chuan first. "Are you hungry? Mommy will feed you."
After feeding the two children one after the other, An'an woke up.
She made a lot of noise when she woke up, and her crying attracted Xiao Jing.
Xiao Jing came in, picked her up, took her out to the toilet, and handed her back to Fang Qiao, who then fed her rice cereal.
After everything was packed up, they picked them up and put them in their respective strollers, then pushed them out to bask in the evening sun.
An'an rode in her little bamboo stroller, while Chuan Chuan and Yue Yue's strollers were newly custom-made by a carpenter, larger double strollers with four wheels, a wooden frame, and small nets woven from hemp rope on all four sides. They were sturdy but drafty, and would be cool to sleep in during the summer.
Putting the two smaller ones inside makes things easier, and avoids the fatigue of carrying them in my arms all day.
Fang Qiao and Xiao Jing each pushed a small cart and strolled around the alleys near their home.
After circling around twice, I happened to run into Wang Yun.
"Xiao Qiao, it's perfect to run into you here, so I won't go to your house."
Wang Yun was still wearing the red dress she wore when she was being fetched for the wedding, but she had a light yellow knitted cardigan over it.
She was carrying two boxes of pastries. She walked quickly to her and handed them to her, saying, "We had a few extra wedding cakes prepared at home. It's getting warmer and they won't keep. Here are two boxes for you to share."
"Then I won't stand on ceremony." Fang Qiao didn't stand on ceremony with Wang Yun and took it, hanging it on the stroller handle.
"We're like family, why are you being so polite with me?"
Wang Yun then took out a red envelope from the pocket of her knitted cardigan and said with a smile, "Here, this is also a matchmaker's gift for you. It wasn't given by me, but by my mother-in-law, to thank you for introducing her to such a good daughter-in-law."
