"Then it's settled. I'll trouble Major General Li to help me request leave."
Lian Han smiled and beckoned to the little scorpion, which immediately crawled towards her and climbed back onto her head.
Li Yingmo was wondering how Lian Han knew their bottom line when she suddenly heard her say this. She was surprised and then nodded.
"So what kind of deal is it?" Ling Xin asked, frowning. He was sitting here because Li Yingmo had informed him that they were willing to make a deal with the Ling family, requiring Lian Han to participate in a certain military operation, but they were unwilling to elaborate on the details.
"Don't you know me? There's nothing dangerous about this."
Ling Xin frowned at Lian Han, but finally relented, "Never put yourself in danger, understand?"
"I'm not that stupid." Qianya and the other exchanged a glance at Lian Han's reply, but said nothing more.
"So the deal is done?"
"It's settled. However, Your Highness, please pay a deposit first."
"No problem."
Qianya raised her hand and handed a colorless crystal to Lianhan. As soon as her fingertips touched it, a layer of frost formed. It was an ice crystal.
"You gave it to me so readily, then what were you hesitating about just now?" Lian Han asked in surprise.
Qianya didn't answer. The ice crystals were originally meant for her; her asking for them saved the Nuo River water. He only pressed her for details because he was afraid she would misuse them and harm herself.
Receiving no answer, Lian Han asked again, "I'm quite curious, why does the First Ice Palace always use honorifics when addressing me?"
"You will know when you arrive in the Ice Tribe."
"What if I never go to the Ice Tribe?"
"Then you can just stay unaware. Let's talk about the action next."
Seeing Qianya and Li Yingmo looking at her, Ling Xin had no intention of avoiding the question. "This is my sister."
