0001 Adoption

0001 Adoption

"Song Yue, from now on you'll be living with this uncle, understand?"

The auntie at the orphanage smiled at Song Yue, but there was no real joy in her smile.

Song Yue just kept her head down, staring at her toes, without any reaction.

The aunt was a little annoyed, but she finally got rid of the man. She suppressed her anger and said apologetically to the man standing next to Song Yue, "I'm sorry, Mr. Su, Xiao Yue is a bit shy. I'll have to ask you to take good care of her from now on."

If we offend her, and then have to send her back, it would be a huge loss.

A middle-aged man next to her smiled gently, "It's alright, she's fine."

After saying that, he took Song Yue's hand and left.

The aunt behind them watched the two figures disappear before her smile vanished. Finally, she had seen that fool off.

"Yueyue, from now on you will live with your uncle, okay?"

The man sitting in the back seat of the car spoke softly to the girl sitting quietly beside him, his face full of tenderness.

Song Yue slowly raised her head, glanced at him, then lowered her head again, nodded slightly, and still didn't say anything.

Su Cheng felt relieved. Although he had heard that the child had intellectual disabilities, based on his observations over the past few days, he could see that the child had no problem communicating.

He looked at the girl sitting next to him. Her long hair covered her delicate face. Although she was 16 years old, she looked like a 12 or 13-year-old. Her fingertips were slender and her skin was so white that you could see the veins underneath.

That orphanage... wasn't a good place, especially for a child like Song Yue with such a personality; you can imagine what kind of treatment she would receive.

The girl sat quietly, completely lacking the energy of the other children.

However, it's still necessary to explain the situation at home to her.

Not knowing if she had listened, Su Cheng quickly explained the situation at home.

He has had several wives, but they are all divorced now. His sons live with him, but they are all quite old, so they don't need his care.

Su Cheng built a separate apartment building in the city center, where his brothers could live in or rent out the units. However, since none of them were married yet, they didn't move out to live separately and all stayed in the apartment.

Although they share the same father but different mothers, the brothers have a good relationship.

Su Cheng is usually quite busy with work, especially flying both domestically and internationally, so he spends the least amount of time at home and mostly stays in the old house.

...

After Su Cheng finished explaining everything, the vehicle arrived at the house.

I've already spoken to all my sons today, so they're all already waiting at the house.

As Song Yue was led down the steps, her gaze remained fixed intently on her toes.

Su Cheng led her slowly towards the courtyard and saw his sons waiting in the hall.

As the eldest brother, Su Mingxi was the first to say, "Dad, little sister, you're back."

Su Cheng smiled and nodded, then took the girl beside him's hand. "Yueyue, these will be your brothers from now on."

Song Yue slowly raised her head, her gaze clear, and lingered on the several unfamiliar men in front of her for a few seconds before nodding.

Although they had heard their father talk about her situation before, this was the first time the brothers had ever met a girl like her.

Fortunately, the brothers were all good at socializing and quickly livened up the atmosphere.

At the dinner table, Su Cheng watched Song Yue eating her meal in small bites and said to Su He'an, "He'an, I'll transfer Yueyue to your school later. Remember to take good care of your sister!"

Su He'an glanced at Song Yue subconsciously, but the other's expression remained unchanged, as if the transfer student she was talking about wasn't her at all. She pursed her lips and agreed.

After the meal, Su Cheng took Song Yue to the room that had been prepared for her in the mansion.

After settling in, he stepped back and saw his sons on the sofa all looking at him.

Su Cheng coughed lightly, "What are you looking at? Yueyue is a girl, what's wrong with me taking care of her?"

Su Feiyang shrugged. "What objections could we possibly have? But Dad, are you sure she's really okay with this?" He deliberately lowered his voice as he spoke, "You said before that she could live with us?"

“Yeah, Dad, I feel like this is a risky business,” Su He’an chimed in from the side.

"Get out of here, all of you! I'm asking you to take care of your own sister, and you still have so much to say. There's no room for discussion on this. I'm often traveling abroad, and I'm worried about leaving her alone at home."

Su Cheng looked at the closed door and said gently, "This child is just like her mother, so quiet and gentle."

Hearing that their father was about to start reminiscing about his first love again, the sons quickly excused themselves.

Watching the group walk away in a hurry, Su Cheng couldn't help but snort a few times at their retreating figures.

None of his sons were considerate, but thankfully, he now has a daughter.

Others might think Song Yue is a fool, but in Su Cheng's eyes, every move she makes evokes his paternal love.

He wanted to take good care of this girl and watch her live a happy life, which would fulfill the promise he made to that person back then.

"Song Si, Le Wei, this is the last thing I can do for you. I will take good care of Yueyue as she grows up. I'm sorry it took me so long to find her, which led to her developing this personality, but I believe she will change for the better."

Su Cheng looked up at the sky, his heart filled with emotion.

P.S.: It's a slow burn, story-driven game.
