0063 Afterwards
This was the first time Song Yue had felt so tired, as if she had been completely drained. She felt lethargic and powerless, and all she wanted to do was stay in bed and continue sleeping.
But her face was itchy, and she grumbled in dissatisfaction as she turned over to continue sleeping, while her ears were then stirred by a ball of warm air, making them feel tingly and numb.
Everything forced her to open her eyes and wake up.
Her long eyelashes trembled, her watery eyes brimmed, and her small mouth pouted in dissatisfaction as she gazed dreamily at the man beside her.
"Big brother..." she snorted softly.
Su Mingxi looked at the little girl clinging to his arms and his heart softened completely.
He didn't want to wake her, but it had been almost 12 hours since morning and she hadn't eaten anything. Her body was so exhausted, and he was worried that she wouldn't be able to handle it.
"Sweetie, get up and eat something before you go back to sleep." He put his arm around her waist and coaxed her gently.
Upon hearing this, Song Yue twitched her nose, smelled the aroma from the side, and her stomach rumbled, suddenly realizing how hungry she was.
"It smells so good..." She squinted and peered at the food on the side.
Su Mingxi affectionately patted her little head: "Drink some porridge first, and I'll make you more if you get hungry later." He gently lifted the little girl from the quilt, leaned her against the headboard, and fed her the porridge from the small bowl.
Song Yue's eyes were half-closed, her little mouth slightly open, as she obediently swallowed.
The delicious congee instantly awakened her appetite. Her eyes lit up, and she quickly perked up and took a small sip.
After finishing the bowl, I finally felt warm all over and had some strength back.
After scanning her surroundings, she looked completely bewildered: "Big brother? Why am I sleeping here?"
Su Mingxi's gaze paused, then a slight smile appeared on her lips: "You don't remember at all?"
Song Yue frowned, pondering the events of the day.
"I remember asking Wan Lanlan to go out and have fun. Later we went to a bar and then we escaped together... Then..." She remembered feeling very hot, and vaguely saw her older brother moving around in front of her.
Seeing her amnesiac expression, Su Mingxi was both puzzled and confused. Feeling helpless, she reached out and touched her pinkish-red face from sleeping: "Alright, if you can't remember, then don't think about it..."
"By the way, where is Wan Lanlan?"
"She's fine, you don't need to worry." Su Mingxi helped her lie back down on the bed. "If you're sleepy, you can sleep a little longer. Sleep with your older brother tonight."
Song Yue was frightened today, and her body felt strangely sore and weak. She didn't want to move at all: "Okay, I want to take a nap... I'm so sleepy..." she said, and even yawned slightly.
Su Mingxi tucked the blanket around her, picked up the bowl and chopsticks, and quietly went out the door.
Upon reaching the top floor, the brothers wore somber expressions, creating a somber atmosphere.
Su He'an wasn't here, and he didn't want to see his older brother's face for the time being. He had a strong urge to beat him up, especially when he saw him carrying Song Yue out of Su Huarong's office. He really wanted to snatch that little girl with the red face from his arms.
Su Huarong and Su Chengbi had somber expressions, and the atmosphere was cold.
When Su Feiyang and Su Feihang returned home and learned what had happened, they naturally didn't give their older brother a friendly look.
On the one hand, they felt sorry for the little girl's ordeal, and on the other hand, they despised the older brother for having such thoughts.
"Big brother, what are you going to do next?" Su Feiyang couldn't stand his older brother's eyes and mouth anymore, and he felt that there was something about him that was annoying.
Su Mingxi washed the dishes, in a cheerful mood: "She's still young, I'll wait for her to grow up."
"What about Dad?" Su Feihang then asked.
Su Mingxi paused for a moment, then said calmly, "I'll tell him when the time comes."
Su Huarong glanced coldly at Su Mingxi, then silently stood up to leave.
"She just fell asleep, let's go see her tomorrow," Su Mingxi said, turning to look at Su Huarong.
Su Huarong paused slightly, then sat down dejectedly.
Su Chengbi remained expressionless, but his tone was slightly cold: "Did she say anything when she woke up just now?"
Su Mingxi walked over and sat on the sofa, her face showing a mixture of disappointment and tender affection: "She doesn't remember what happened after that..."
Then the air became still, as if a cloud of fog had settled down, trapping everyone and making it hard for them to breathe.
"Alright, let's leave her matter here for now, but I don't want to let that person get away with it anymore." Su Feiyang said coldly.
Su Chengbi nodded: "Leave this to me."
Since he has nothing better to do and still has the energy to bother others, let's make sure he doesn't have the time, energy, or leisure to think about other things.
Su Feihang fidgeted with his fingers: "Just let me know if you need anything. I have some connections in business too."
"Okay, but it's just a small company, so it probably won't need your connections much."
When the Geng family offended Song Yue last time, Su Chengbi investigated them, but Su He'an later decided to resolve the matter, so he let it go.
*
Later, when Song Yue returned to school, she learned about the Geng family from Wan Lanlan.
His family suddenly went bankrupt.
Overnight, the entire Geng family disappeared.
Some say they offended enemies and were being hunted down; others say they absconded with debts…
There was a lot of discussion about this matter, but none of it concerned Song Yue; she was more interested in the upcoming school activities.
We're going on an autumn outing!
