0064 Autumn Outing

0064 Autumn Outing

October is a cool autumn month, and the school arranged an autumn outing for the students to relax before the midterm exams.

Song Yue was incredibly excited when she heard about the event, and she even started jumping around at home from time to time.

The brothers were relieved, but worried that what had happened before might have left her with psychological trauma.

Early that morning, Song Yue got up, ate breakfast, and went back to her room. She checked everything that Su Mingxi had packed for her one by one before finally picking up her bag and leaving the room.

Inside the restaurant, Su He'an was being bombarded by his brothers, all saying the same thing: protect Song Yue, don't let her get tired or hurt, etc. He was so tired of hearing it that his ears were practically calloused.

Once Song Yue came down, the brothers calmed down a bit.

Su Mingxi took out the bento box she had just made that morning: "Food outside isn't clean, and you'll feel sick if you eat it. I made you some snacks so you can have something to eat when you're hungry."

Su Huarong picked up the prepared snacks: "These are all high-energy foods, you won't be hungry after eating them."

Su Mingxi glanced down at her, then her gaze fell on Song Yue's small face.

Su Feiyang asked with concern, "I heard you're going hiking? Won't it be tiring?"

“They actually have the nerve to call this kind of activity a way to relax students? I think it’s just making you suffer,” Su Feihang chimed in from the side.

"Rest when you're tired, don't push yourself." Su Chengbi took the things she was carrying and stuffed them, along with Su Mingxi's lunchbox and Su Huarong's snacks, into Su He'an's hands.

Song Yue looked at her own hands, then at the bag hanging behind Su He'an and the bag he was carrying in front of him. He looked so tired, and she felt sorry for him: "I have more things, I'll carry them myself."

Su He'an instantly felt the stares of his brothers, and trembled with fright. He took a few steps back to avoid her outstretched hand: "It's okay, it's just a little bit, I'll treat it as exercise."

"It's alright, he's a grown man, how could this little bit of stuff tire him out?" Su Feihang glanced at Su He'an's body.

"Alright, it's getting late, we should get going."

Su Mingxi gently put her arm around Song Yue's shoulder and led Su He'an away.

Su Huarong's gaze remained fixed on that hand, and she remained silent.

Song Yue was completely oblivious to the changes in the atmosphere at home, as if she were born without an antenna to receive anything unusual. She only felt that her brothers seemed to be treating her better and better.

There's nothing we can do; she just seems to have a weaker capacity to process these kinds of emotional responses.

Slow to warm up and dull!

Once in the car, Song Yue naturally sat in the passenger seat, while Su He'an was relegated to the back to sit with the others carrying large and small bags.

Fortunately, we'll be taking the school's bus later, otherwise his hand might have broken. He already has a lot of things he prepared, and Song Yue's bag is even heavier.

When we arrived at the school gate, there were already a few people scattered around.

After exchanging a few words with Song Yue, Su Mingxi let her get out of the car and then reiterated the safety precautions to Su He'an.

Su He'an gave an impatient, perfunctory reply as she got out of the car, then led Song Yue toward the classroom.

Su Mingxi watched until the two people disappeared from sight before slowly starting the car and driving away.

Song Yue and Su Mingxi peeked out from a corner, breathed a sigh of relief, and then smiled at each other.

"Big brother, are you going through menopause lately? Why are you so talkative?" Song Yue looked puzzled, but felt a warm glow in her heart, a strange sense of being pampered and satisfied.

"..." Su He'an glanced at Song Yue, who looked bewildered beside him, and sighed inwardly, "He's probably just worried about you."

Just as Song Yue was about to ask a few more questions about what had happened before, someone called their names from ahead.

Su He'an saw what she was thinking and quickly took a few steps forward: "Let's get on the bus quickly and get a good seat."

Wan Lanlan came over to Song Yue and said, "Yeah, let's hurry up and find a seat by the window, or we'll suffocate."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xinglan quickly pulled Yang Mingxuan forward.

Su He felt relieved. His brothers had all kept quiet about what had happened before, and he naturally didn't want to talk about it either.

Once in the car, Wan Lanlan pulled Song Yue to the front, where they found a good spot – spacious, bright, and well-ventilated, with a clear view of the scenery ahead.

Su and An naturally took the seats next to them, but they were separated by the corridor.

Jiang Xinglan and Yang Mingxuan sat behind Su He'an.

At this moment, Mi Chuxue and Yu Binglan also got into the car.

The two women immediately noticed an empty seat next to Su He'an, where Song Yue and Wan Lanlan were sitting together. They slowly walked towards the back.

Then, Yu Binglan pulled Mi Chuxue to sit behind Song Yue's seat.

"First Snow...would you like to sit next to Su He'an?" Yu Binglan gestured with her chin to the empty seat next to Su He'an.

After learning about Song Yue's relationship with Su He'an, Mi Chuxue's hostility towards Song Yue lessened considerably. Furthermore, when rumors of He Qiuyue and Geng Bao surfaced at school, she vaguely suspected that it was related to Su He'an.

She admired him, yet was also somewhat afraid of him.

Every time I secretly decided to give up, I couldn't help but want to get closer to him every time I saw him, even if it was just to say one sentence.

“But…I’m afraid…” Mi Chuxue wanted to go over, but she was worried that he would refuse again and make her lose face.

Yu Binglan gently advised, "It's okay, go and try, maybe he'll accept it..."

With a hint of anticipation, Mi Chuxue stood up and walked to Su He'an's side.

Su He'an had been nagged by his brothers since early morning, so he wasn't in a good mood. He had planned to rest for a while after getting in the car, but the voices that suddenly rang out beside him made him very impatient.

Jiang Xinglan and Yang Mingxuan were engrossed in playing on their phones when they caught a glimpse of Mi Chuxue walking by.

"Su He'an, can I sit here..." Mi Chuxue said timidly, then looked up and saw a cold glance directed at her as he lifted his eyelids. Her body trembled, and her voice began to stutter, "I... I'm not feeling well... I want to sit... maybe it will make me more comfortable..."

Su He'an's lips curled slightly, carrying a hint of mockery: "No." That glance seemed to see through her intentions, trampling her thoughts on the ground.

Mi Chuxue's eyes instantly reddened, and she stammered as she took a few steps back, her face flushed as she returned to her seat, burying her head and refusing to get up.

Jiang Xinglan withdrew her gaze from the spectacle and whispered to Yang Mingxuan, "That's ruthless!" She secretly gave him a thumbs up.

Yang Mingxuan pressed down on his head and rubbed it hard: "Don't meddle in other people's business!"

Song Yue naturally saw it too, but since she didn't like Mi Chuxue, she didn't say anything.

Then Yin Xingjin came up. He immediately saw Song Yue, his eyes lit up, and then he saw that the seat next to Su He'an was empty, so he sat down directly.

Su He'an's eyes darkened, and he was about to kick someone when he saw Song Yue turn her head with delight. He immediately changed the position of his foot.

"Jin... Yin Xingjin!" She was just about to call him Brother Jin when she was glared at fiercely, and the words she was about to say immediately changed her mind.

"Song Yue, did you have fun on the autumn outing?" Yin Xingjin knew she was very happy. Just by looking into her eyes, he could tell. They were sparkling and full of smiles, as if she had never experienced those dark days.

Song Yue nodded emphatically. These were all things she had never experienced before, and she was already very satisfied.

Every day is a happy day for her.

"Yin Xingjin, I want to sleep. You're sitting here, so stop talking so much nonsense!" Su He'an stopped them immediately, seeing that the two seemed about to continue their conversation. "Will this ever end?"

Yin Xingjin's gentle expression, which had been so tender in front of Song Yue, instantly turned cold when he faced Su He'an: "Then go to sleep."

Song Yue looked over with concern: "Were you too excited to sleep last night too?!"

Looking at Song Yue's face, Su He'an felt no anger at all, and said with helpless indulgence, "Do you think everyone is like you?"

"Hmph! This is something that should be exciting!" Song Yue muttered softly, unconvinced, but after learning that Su He'an was sleepy, she stopped talking to Yin Xingjin.

Once everyone was on the bus, we set off.
