Chapter 103

Chapter 103

Letters are now considered an ancient form of communication.

The handwriting inside was familiar, sharp and angular penmanship, which didn't match Ran Xian's own style at all.

He is a smooth and worldly guy.

Very smart, avoids trouble, and always acts like he knows everything.

While Jin Chuwan was distracted, Yin Zhihua subtly wiped away the moisture from her eyes.

He didn't want to lose face like this, but Jin Chuwan was just too infuriating.

He clearly forgot about her and deliberately ignored her, yet he wouldn't say a single kind word.

But he had to admit that when he was pulled back, he couldn't help but feel a secret joy.

Thinking about this, Yin Zhihua felt utterly disgusted with himself.

He glanced back, his eyes filled with obvious dejection.

Jin Chuwan's expression looked somewhat solemn. Her brows were slightly furrowed, and after a moment she raised her head, but seemed to be thinking about something else.

Her gaze unconsciously drifted to the clock on the wall.

Then, as if remembering something, he suddenly pressed his forehead.

They look kind of cute.

Yin Zhihua lowered his head and chuckled softly as he thought of this.

Seriously, someone this pathetic should just die...

"Finished watching? Can I go now?" he asked, somewhat helplessly.

Jin Chuwan nodded, and after letting go of her hand, she folded the letter.

She had guessed what Cheng Ya might be going through, but she didn't expect it to be this complicated.

And it was actually himself who dragged Cheng Ya down.

Jin Chuwan couldn't help but laugh when she thought of this.

She glanced at Yin Zhihua, as if talking to herself or asking a question in a low voice.

"Do you think... I'm that likable?"

The young man, who had just been ridiculed, heard this and immediately sneered.

"If you're not fully awake yet, go wash your face first..."

Jin Chuwan obediently went to wash her face. Yin Zhihua's gaze drifted to the bathroom. He listened to the sound of water from there, a hint of mockery flashing in his eyes.

He wasn't sure if she was likable or not, but he himself was probably quite disliked.

The tall, handsome young man stood in the living room, looking indifferent and dejected.

Those slightly upturned eyes slid over the envelope on the table.

My thoughts drifted away.

Ran Xian should still be abroad maintaining the operation of overseas assets. Ever since the paternity test between him and Ran Min was exposed, their treatment in the Ran family has never been the same as before. Although Ran's father insists that they are his children, the old man of the Ran family insists that someone else should be raised to take over the Ran family's business.

It was only in the last two years that the siblings managed to gain a foothold.

It's all because of that mad dog in the Li family.

After Kim Cho-wan left, he started biting everyone he saw.

Jiang Chen and he seemed to have reached some kind of agreement, completely ignoring Li Xing'en's actions and reaping the benefits without lifting a finger. His former brother meant nothing to him.

Yin Zhihua's gaze turned cold as he thought about it. He originally didn't want to go back to the old house, but now he understood that if you want freedom, you can't get what you want; you have to pay for what you want.

Jiang Chen taught him this.

Mingjing's father is now almost driven to desperation, and Chengya's investments are now almost completely trapped.

However, if it weren't for this, he wouldn't have known that Kim Cho-wan had actually been in Singapore all along.

Yin Zhihua suddenly smiled as he thought of this.

No wonder he couldn't find any information about Kim Cho-wan; it turns out that the Cheng family had put in a lot of effort to cover it up.

Therefore, over the years, everyone except Kim Cho Man knew about his movements. They were just waiting for the right opportunity to completely eliminate everyone else so that they could appear before Kim Cho Man as the victors.

By then, everyone will be finished, and Jin Chuwan will have no other choice.

It now appears that Jiang Chen and Li Xing'en are close to victory, and even the stubborn Cheng Ya has had to give up her insistence.

But she was unwilling to face it, so she pushed the matter onto Ran Xian, who couldn't bring himself to speak, so now it's become this letter in his hands.

That's why Kim Cho-wan asked him that just now.

Is she very likable...?

Yin Zhihua narrowed his eyes and glanced at Jin Chuwan, who seemed to be wiping her face or deep in thought, and smiled.

Why isn't she popular?

I liked it at first sight.

Now, seeing her living a happy and fulfilling life makes me happy.

I wish she liked me instead.

Thinking of this, Yin Zhihua finally gave up on defaming his own character.

His pride wasn't actually that strong, so it wasn't that he was unwilling to admit it; it's just that he hadn't understood it before.

By the time he realized what was happening, it seemed like it was all too late.

So Jin Chuwan is right, what right does he have to get angry at her?

At least I've seen him now.

And you can also have a sip of the tea she brewed.

That's how people's bottom line is; once it's crossed, it becomes much easier to cross it again.

When Jin Chuwan came out after washing her face, she saw Yin Zhihua looking slightly uncomfortable.

He didn't leave; instead, he found a seat and sat down.

That slightly shameless attitude alerted Jin Chuwan.

"Weren't you leaving?"

"I don't want to anymore." The other person held their head high, but didn't dare to look her in the eye. "Why should I stay here just because you tell me not to leave, or leave just because you tell me to?"

What are you saying...

When did she tell him to get lost?

"You said it yourself..."

Jin Chuwan didn't want to argue with him. She glanced at the time; more than half an hour had passed. She wondered if Cheng Xiucheng was getting impatient.

She glanced at Yin Zhihua and sighed, "You can stay here, but I'm going out for lunch now."

Jin Chuwan opened the door and said, "By the way, I still have to make a living. It's best if a public figure like you doesn't come along. It would be troublesome if you were photographed."

Feeling rejected, Yin Zhihua froze on the sofa. He watched as Jin Chuwan abandoned him without hesitation, gritted his teeth, and put his mask and hat back on.

He insisted on going, even though we told him not to.

What, is he really that unpresentable?

When he followed Jin Chuwan downstairs, he realized that she was going to find Cheng Xiucheng.

"I say it's not good for women to be too love-struck. Men can't be coaxed. The more you spoil him, the less he'll care about you."

Jin Chuwan listened, shook her head, and smiled.

"Thank you, I understand, you can go now."

This indifferent reply nearly gave Yin Zhihua a heart attack, yet he continued to follow Jin Chuwan unhurriedly.

"What's so good about him? He's old, and he can't even out-play his own sister..."

Kim Cho-wan didn't answer. When they were almost at the restaurant, she looked up and saw that Sung Soo-seung was sitting obediently in his previous seat, which put her at ease.

Seeing that Yin Zhihua was still following her, she had no choice but to continue to provoke him.

"But Xiucheng is very caring. He's obedient and can cook. I don't need to worry about anything else as long as I go to work."

Upon hearing this, Yin Zhihua's words became even more sarcastic.

"What? So you like this kind of thing? Then why don't you hire a couple more Filipino maids..."

Jin Chuwan didn't want to argue with him anymore, so she went straight to Cheng Xiucheng and sat down next to him.

Cheng Xiucheng seemed somewhat surprised to see a stranger following behind Jin Chuwan.

Who is he?

After Yin Zhihua sat down, he became quiet. He glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention before taking off his mask and calling out.

"Brother Xiucheng".

This obvious familiar tone left Sung Soo-seung even more bewildered.

He glanced at Jin Chuwan and gestured for her to make an introduction.

But Kim Cho-wan looked down at the menu.

"You don't need to pay attention to him, he's just a freeloader anyway."

The strangeness between the two puzzled Yin Zhihua, who glanced at Cheng Xiucheng sitting opposite him.

When did Xiucheng become so... quiet?

But he didn't ask any more questions, he just raised his eyebrows and looked at Jin Chuwan.

"If you think I'm freeloading, I'll just pay for it."

Upon hearing this, Jin Chuwan didn't stand on ceremony. She didn't even look up, but replied with a smile.

"Remember to keep your word."

After she finished speaking, even the way she ordered food changed.

It's obvious they're going to rip us off.

Cheng Xiucheng smiled when he saw Jin Chuwan smile, but when he looked up and saw the young man opposite him, the smile on his face faded a little.

The person in front of him should know him, but he was clearly more interested in Kim Cho-wan.

He even seemed quite happy when she refuted him.

Cheng Xiucheng felt a little uncomfortable, and he habitually loosened his collar.

For a moment, he felt as if he had seen this scene somewhere before.

But no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't remember.

The waiter quickly came and took away the menu.

While the dishes were being served, Jin Chuwan also thought about the important matter at hand.

Ran Xian's letter was actually quite cryptic, but the meaning was clear: she wanted her to ask Jiang Chen and Li Xing'en to abandon their siege of the Cheng and Ming families.

It's not too late to advise them now. If it's too late, the Ming family's assets will become insolvent, and Cheng Ya will lose a large sum of money.

This was a huge pressure for her, who had just taken over the management.

Jin Chuwan turned and glanced out the window.

It was raining just a moment ago, but now the sky has cleared up, and the dazzling sunlight shines obliquely, causing Jin Chuwan to squint.

After leaving behind the innocent days of campus life, the cold reality is like a sudden downpour that has just stopped, catching people off guard and leaving them nowhere to be avoided.

She is no longer afraid to face Jiang Chen or Li Xing'en, nor is she ashamed to speak out because of so-called pride.

Regardless, she has many interests tied to Cheng Ya, so helping her is also helping herself.

But can those real, coveted benefits really be obtained simply by asking?

Kim Chuwan pondered.

She didn't come to her senses until the dishes were served.

The table was filled with exquisite dishes, and Jin Chuwan only raised her hand to stop the waiter from bringing out the red wine.

"I'm sorry, you must have brought the wrong thing. We didn't order red wine."

After Jin Chuwan finished speaking, the attendant glanced at the list and smiled as he pointed to a table of guests at the back.

"Hello, miss, this is a gift from our boss. He said it's to say hello to an old friend."

After the waiter finished speaking, he placed the red wine on the table rack, bowed, and pushed the food cart away.

Jin Chuwan looked behind her, following his gaze.

The tall young man, dressed in casual clothes, smiled and looked over. He was as gentle and refined as ever, and even waved to Jin Chuwan when he saw her.

A man in a suit was sitting opposite him. Because his back was to her, Jin Chuwan could only see his arms and shoulders draped over the back of the chair.

She didn't move, but calmly withdrew her gaze, then looked at the red wine on the table, and raised her hand to turn the label on the bottle.

The legendary 1982 Lafite.

Yin Zhihua suddenly laughed.

He smiled broadly and even generously took off his mask.

"Looks like it's not my turn to treat this meal."
