Chapter 109

Chapter 109

7

The room, which wasn't very spacious at the moment, could only be described as chaotic.

Jin Chuwan thought that even when faced with the most difficult cases, she had never felt so flustered as she was now.

She leaned against the door, and Jiang Chen stood in front of her, one hand supporting himself behind her. He was probably drunk; although it wasn't showing on his face, his slightly unfocused pupils betrayed a hint of intoxication.

"You actually doubt me..."

He repeated his words, one hand pulling her across his chest. His movements were chaotic and haphazard, sometimes moving up, sometimes down, and sometimes pressing against her face.

His head rested on her shoulder, and Jin Chuwan heard his slow breathing and indistinct murmurs. She was very nervous, standing stiffly, not daring to move or ask any questions.

She wanted to wait until Jiang Chen calmed down after his drunken outburst before they could discuss things properly.

But before Jiang Chen could calm down, she heard another soft laugh.

"Is the test finished?"

Jin Chuwan frowned. She felt Li Xing'en's hands wrap around his waist from behind, and he leaned closer, his head resting on her neck.

A moment later, she felt him pull her other hand away, leading her to another spot. She tried to refuse, but he only tightened his grip. Jin Chuwan was a little angry; she was now immobilized, held on either side of these two men, all because she had said the wrong thing.

"Don't go too far..." she warned in a low voice.

However, all I got in return was a dissatisfied complaint.

"Auntie, please don't be biased. Why do you indulge Jiang Chen when he's being naughty, but get angry when I'm being naughty..."

"He's drunk..."

You can't reason with a drunkard.

Li Xingen suddenly laughed as he listened, and then he shook his head.

"Then I'm drunk too."

Jin Chuwan was helpless, but she couldn't move the two of them, so she had no choice but to threaten them.

"If you don't let go, I really will..."

Are you getting angry?

Before Jin Chuwan could finish speaking, Jiang Chen interrupted her. He narrowed his eyes and lifted his head from her shoulder. His dark eyes were somewhat unfocused, but his gaze towards Jin Chuwan was very steady.

He stood up unsteadily, then sat down while holding onto a chair.

Jin Chuwan watched as he closed his eyes and slowly buttoned his shirt.

He was expected to come over shortly, but he wasn't looking at Kim Cho-man; instead, he was staring at Lee Sung-eun.

"Aren't you going to get lost?"

Jiang Chen was met with a cold laugh from Li Xing'en, "I want to leave too, but my aunt said she hasn't finished her test yet."

Their eyes met; one was gloomy, the other had a faint smile.

The room was unusually quiet. Just when Jin Chuwan thought Jiang Chen was about to do something, he nodded, his unfocused eyes turning to Jin Chuwan, as if he was suppressing some kind of emotion.

"Hurry up," he urged.

"I don't like you touching him..."

After Jiang Chen finished speaking, he closed his eyes again, and at first glance, he seemed somewhat lost and frustrated.

Kim Cho-wan also closed her eyes.

This is insane, really.

She had initially only suspected it, but now she was certain that Jiang Chen was a drunkard. She felt a little irritated and tried to pull her hand away, but Li Xing'en led her, continuing to slide his hand across her chest and abdomen. He clearly had other ideas, but he restrained himself from going too far.

The touch of her fingertips was smooth and delicate. As the warmth of the other person's body became clearer, Jin Chuwan became nervous again, but she couldn't break free. She could only suppress her emotions and coax them gently.

"Can you let go of me?"

Jin Chuwan's eyes were filled with tension and resistance, but Li Xing'en remained unreasonable.

“Then your aunt said the test was done, that she believed your Xing En was no one else, that you knew you were wrong, and that she would never misunderstand your Xing En again.”

As she spoke, she hugged her even tighter. Kim Cho-wan glanced at Lee Sung-eun, who seemed to be enjoying herself as she rested her head on her shoulder.

In the end, he held back and only uttered one sentence.

"I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have misunderstood you."

After saying that, she became somewhat resigned, "Isn't that enough? Hurry up and let go!"

But Li Xingen still didn't move. His body temperature rose noticeably, and his arms tightened slightly. Jin Chuwan could clearly feel the man's control over her intensifying, and even his breath seemed dangerous, so she didn't dare to move.

"Wait a moment, just a moment."

Li Xingen closed his eyes and bit his lower lip. He was in great pain, but dared not move.

He never expected that a simple hug, or just smelling the scent of her hair, would cause him to lose control to this extent.

But it's also very comfortable.

At this moment, he was experiencing both pleasure and pain, unable to release, alleviate, or find relief.

Therefore, he could only beg Kim Cho-wan for a little more time.

"Auntie... I really miss you."

Every word Li Xing'en uttered was uttered with difficulty. Jin Chuwan listened, her face turning slightly red. She wasn't a fool or a child, so of course she knew what was wrong with Li Xing'en. Therefore, she could only persist.

"Let go of me first, then go to the toilet yourself."

After she finished speaking, Li Xing'en smiled.

He nodded slowly, but his hands did not relax at all.

"Do you hate me?" he asked anxiously.

Jin Chuwan felt somewhat helpless, thinking that neither Jiang Chen nor Li Xing'en needed to go to such lengths.

"If you're feeling so bad, why not let yourself go and find a girlfriend to be with?"

Upon hearing this, Li Xingen's smile suddenly vanished. He raised his head in displeasure and released his grip.

"I don't want to—"

He looked down at her, his gray eyes revealing a rare gloom and obsession.

"Don't say things like that again, or I'll really get angry."

Jin Chuwan was somewhat dazed. She wasn't used to facing Li Xing'en like this, so she could only manage a weak smile. Then, as soon as he let go, she immediately opened the door and fled.

"I'm going out to settle the bill."

Li Xingen watched her leave, then turned his back and straightened his clothes. Unlike Jiang Chen, who appeared strong on the surface but actually had almost no bottom line in front of Jin Chuwan, he didn't like that. He had always been a person with clear goals.

Even being disliked is better than not getting anything at all.

Jin Chuwan lingered outside for almost ten minutes before returning to the private room. She pressed her temples to calm herself for a long time before reluctantly pushing open the door.

Lee Sung-eun sat in the middle seat, looking like she had calmed down.

He glanced at Jiang Chen, who was leaning back in his chair, motionless, and smiled.

"What should we do? Our driver seems to have fallen asleep."

When Jin Chuwan heard Li Xing'en say that, she walked over to Jiang Chen and glanced at him. He was holding clothes in his arms and his eyes were closed. She tried calling out to him a few times, but Jiang Chen didn't seem to respond.

Jin Chuwan glanced out the window, then at Li Xing'en, "Then you'll send him back?"

Li Xingen smiled, seemingly unconcerned: "Just leave it here, what's the big deal?"

Jin Chuwan frowned, feeling that something was amiss.

Li Xingen looked at him and then laughed, "Like I said, we're not actually that close. He went to the company without even saying goodbye to me, and as for where he lives here, I have no idea..."

After saying that, Li Xing'en refused again, "Also, don't ask if you can send it to my house, it's too much of an eyesore, I won't accept it."

Jin Chuwan didn't know what expression to make when she heard this. She gripped her bag strap and glanced at the tall buildings not far away.

"Then let's take him to the hotel to lie down first."

It's really inappropriate to leave it here.

After all, no matter how big the consumer is, you can't cause trouble for the restaurant like this.

This time, Li Xing'en did not refuse. When he left, he supported Jiang Chen, but his actions seemed a little rough.

Jiang Chen seemed to open his eyes and wake up for a while, but fell asleep again after getting into the car.

Jin Chuwan, who was sitting in the back row, took the keys from Jiang Chen's pocket and handed them over.

Li Xing'en glanced at the rearview mirror. Jiang Chen was fast asleep, leaning on Jin Chuwan's shoulder. He lowered his eyes and gave a silent, cold laugh before stepping on the gas.

The car suddenly started moving, and Jiang Chen, who was already not sitting properly, swayed and almost fell over into the back seat.

But because of this, he finally opened his eyes. He looked around for a while before recognizing Jin Chuwan who was supporting him. Then he glanced at Li Xing'en, who was driving. At this moment, the man seemed to have finally become more awake. He changed his position to sit up straight and suddenly raised his hand to cover his eyes.

Jiang Chen's movements still seemed somewhat sluggish, but his expression appeared to be clear. He held onto the chair with one hand, and his whole body involuntarily leaned towards Jin Chuwan.

"Take her home first," he said.

Li Xing'en glanced sideways, but ignored Jiang Chen.

This was the first time Jin Chuwan had seen Jiang Chen so drunk, and she felt mostly helpless. She was also a little drunk, but not to the extent that Jiang Chen was.

"Alright, now that Jiang Chen is awake, I'll go home first."

She was truly exhausted.

Even if Jin Chuwan drinks a lot, she won't act like Jiang Chen when she's drunk; she'll just feel sleepy.

But after this experience, she has learned her lesson.

The car drove along the highway, the afternoon sun still dazzling and scorching. When Li Xing'en drove up to Jin Chuwan's apartment building, he turned around and saw the two of them leaning against each other and sleeping soundly. He stared at them silently for a while, his fingertips gripping the car door turning slightly white.

Suddenly, he slammed the car door shut and turned to walk to the other side of the car.

Li Xing'en stubbornly pulled Jin Chuwan out of Jiang Chen's arms, holding her in his arms, while Jiang Chen, having suddenly lost his balance, snapped back to reality.

He looked up.

Their eyes met in mid-air, one looking down, the other puzzled.

But Li Xing'en didn't say much, she just turned around and went into the apartment building with the person in her arms.

Realizing what was happening, Jiang Chen lowered his head and let out a soft chuckle. He picked up his coat, got out of the car, and followed at a leisurely pace.

The man was tall and upright, with a handsome face that exuded a coldness that kept strangers at bay. However, his hair and clothes were somewhat disheveled, which gave him an air of unruly arrogance.

The moment the elevator doors closed, Jiang Chen managed to squeeze inside.

He looked at Li Xing'en and smiled silently.

"Didn't you say you only recently arrived here? How come you know her address so well?"

Li Xing'en seemed not to hear. He looked down at Jin Chuwan, and his eyes finally softened slightly.

"Just because you recently returned doesn't mean I can't know your address?"

Li Xing'en smiled and glanced at Jiang Chen: "She called me last night, and we talked until very late. What, Mr. Jiang, do I have to report all of this to you?"

Li Xing'en narrowed her eyes, seemingly finding Jiang Chen's questions laughable.

"I don't recall this being in our agreement, did I?"

Jiang Chen didn't say anything more. He stood quietly behind the two of them until the elevator doors reopened.

The neighborhood seems to be very safe, with a pleasant and quiet environment.

Jiang Chen looked around and then at Li Xing'en, who was walking out of the elevator.

He tossed his coat over his shoulder and glanced down at his feet.

Yes, they didn't have such an agreement.

There were no empty promises about fair competition or anything like that.

They simply need to realize, without prior agreement, that they must join forces to eliminate the others early.
