When Maggie woke up from her dream again, she felt dizzy and almost fell to the ground.
She sat up dazedly, feeling a throbbing pain and weakness in her head that seemed to come from nowhere, her mind filled with questions.
"Could I have some kind of terminal illness?"
Maggie stroked her chin, thinking of a possibility that was unlikely, but not entirely impossible.
Lately, she always wakes up with a terrible headache. She only vaguely remembers having a dream, but she can't recall the details. It's really strange.
She sat on the bed in deep thought for a long time, and only slowly stood up when the discomfort in her mind subsided.
Theoretically speaking, magic should be able to cure most illnesses. If it is so severe that even healing magic cannot cure it, then there is probably no way to save her.
Maggie thought calmly.
The day she is diagnosed with a terminal illness, she will spend all her gold coins to get a top-tier magic gem, run to the Duke's mansion, and detonate it on the spot.
I wonder how spectacular the explosion of a level nine or even ten magic gem would be. To do something so cool once in a lifetime, how could it not be considered a part of life?
Who knows, after she dies, she might be able to rely on the gray bead to become a powerful undead and make a comeback.
Since she's not going to live anyway, then nobody should live either.
It's time for her to play the villain.
Why can't she be the one to start the next cataclysmic disaster?
As Maggie did her makeup, she imagined a very, very, super awesome future in her mind, with a strange smile playing on her lips.
As soon as the little ghost floated into the treehouse, it saw Maggie's suspicious smile and immediately shuddered, a chill running down its spine.
"You wicked human, what terrifying thoughts are you having now... You don't want to destroy the continent, do you?"
He watched Maggie warily, scanning her repeatedly with his eyes, trying to discern her true thoughts.
"Ahem, of course not."
Maggie caught a glimpse of the little ghost out of the corner of her eye, which looked no different from a cat with its fur standing on end. She calmed herself down a bit and pretended to be serious.
That thought was just a fleeting one; she probably... she might... she likely still wouldn't do that.
"I don't believe it!"
Perhaps because he knew Maggie very well, the little ghost immediately saw that Maggie was faking it. The white cloth covering her body trembled violently, and her short hand pointed shakily at Maggie.
"It's over, it's over, the world is going to end, you woman have finally gone mad."
The little ghost's face was filled with despair, and he seemed to be deeply immersed in his role, which prompted Roy to give him a sharp rap on the head as soon as he appeared.
"Honestly, Maggie is perfectly fine, how can you say she's crazy?"
Roy's fierce demeanor and adorable tone made her not at all annoying; on the contrary, it made her even more likable.
"She was definitely thinking of some wicked plan just now; you have no idea how she was laughing!"
The little ghost covered its forehead, looking grief-stricken.
"Tell me! Were you thinking about something really terrible just now?!"
He turned to Maggie and questioned her again, his voice filled with embarrassment and anger.
The little jellyfish appeared out of the corner at some point, covering its mouth with its tentacles and chuckling. Its big eyes even revealed a hint of envy. Their lively and energetic interaction made it clear that they had a very good relationship.
Only when the relationship is close enough can people joke around like this without any restraint.
"I didn't, don't talk nonsense."
Maggie shrugged, spread her hands, and shook her head.
This is something that can't be admitted, especially a plan with such high feasibility, operability, and obvious success rate. If it were revealed, Little Ghost would probably have to guard against her like a thief from now on.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, followed by Nesser's warm and sweet voice.
"Sister, sister, get up quickly! Today we're going to the very edge of the Azure Forest. We can see the most beautiful sunrise flower sea on the continent of Coral! I must take you there."
Hearing the somewhat urgent knocking, Maggie stopped arguing with the little ghost and went to open the door. Looking down, she saw Nesser looking up at her with a smile.
Her cheeks were still flushed from running, as rosy as a ripe little apple.
"Nesser didn't sleep in today."
Maggie reached out and patted Nesser's head, teasing him with a smile.
When Nesser accompanied her on her travels, he would always sleep until late morning. If they were traveling, he would reluctantly get up, curl up in the carriage, and continue sleeping on her shoulder.
When the carriage was too bumpy, he would wrinkle his little nose and grumble in dissatisfaction.
But there's a high chance it won't wake up; it'll just hum a couple of times and then go back to sleep.
"I won't stay in bed."
When his embarrassing incident was mentioned, Nesser's face turned even redder. He looked into Maggie's eyes and stubbornly insisted on his story.
"Oh, so the one who stays in bed late is the puppy."
Maggie raised an eyebrow, deliberately drawing out her words as she watched Nesser's increasingly angry expression.
"Stop talking...stop talking, sister. If you keep bullying me, you won't be able to see the Morning Sun Flower Sea."
Nesser pouted, looking a little aggrieved, but still reached out and tugged at Maggie's sleeve, quietly asking if Maggie could come with him.
"Okay, let's go."
Maggie smiled faintly. Jokes should be kept within limits, otherwise they might hurt a child's self-esteem.
In fact, the scenery of the entire Green Forest is stunning, with a refreshing yet indescribable air of nobility. Perhaps it's because the elves are all handsome men and beautiful women, making it a feast for the eyes as you go.
Even the treehouses that were simply made and had a rustic, natural style looked much more pleasing to the eye.
The elves love to be close to the forest, so huge trees can be seen everywhere here, and you can occasionally see small mushrooms sprouting from the ground while walking in the forest.
There were colorful mushrooms, and some really cute little ones that emitted a faint fluorescent blue light; they looked just...
It's poisonous and shouldn't be eaten.
Maggie silently made a judgment in her mind that was unique to Chinese people.
Walking in the woods, even the tip of your nose is filled with the scent of the morning sun and rain. It's hard to describe, but once you breathe it in, you immediately feel as if your body has been purified.
Nesser led the way, and occasionally sunlight would pierce through the trees and fall on his head, illuminating his silver hair with the constantly flashing spots of light, making him look like a dreamlike elf from a fairy tale.
Maggie stared blankly at the top of Nesser's head for a while, then suddenly felt that her current life wasn't so bad.
Let's put that plan on hold for now, otherwise we won't be able to see such beautiful scenery again.
