Chapter 49 Where is the beast crystal hidden?
There was a hint of red at the corners of Feng Yin's eyes, and his gaze was captivating.
The high priest narrowed his eyes and asked in confusion, "Female, what did you just feed him?"
Fu Ying chuckled, her green eyes curved like two crescent moons.
Her smile made the high priest frown and take a step back, because he felt an inexplicable fear, as if the little female in front of him was hiding some evil power.
Fu Ying stepped forward and protected Feng Yin behind him.
She turned her wrist slightly, and the frosty whip swung out in a sharp arc, stirring up dust all over the sky. The tip of the whip was filled with biting cold air, and tiny ice crystals condensed in the air.
Fu Ying tilted his head and chuckled softly, a cold glint in his eyes. "How interesting! I haven't even asked about the medicine given by the high priest, but you're thinking of me first? How about you bring the medicine here so I can take a look?"
The high priest's pupils suddenly constricted, and his skinny fingers unconsciously clenched the bone staff.
He stared at the frost whip that appeared out of thin air in Fu Ying's hand. His Adam's apple rolled, and his voice was filled with an undisguised solemnity and trembling: "You... who are you?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Fu Ying raised the corner of his lips with a sharp arc, and the long whip in his hand suddenly turned into a streak of cold light, carrying a biting frost and lashing towards the high priest.
The high priest's skinny figure was unusually agile, and he slammed his bone staff heavily on the ground.
In an instant, circles of strange black light exploded like ripples. Wherever the dark light passed, the sand and stones twisted and squirmed like living things, and in a flash they turned into hideous black vines, wrapping around Fu Ying with bared fangs and claws.
A cold light flashed in Fu Ying's eyes, and the long whip in his hand split the surging black fog like a sharp blade.
She tapped her toes lightly, and her whole body turned into a stream of rainbow and went against the trend!
Wherever the whip shadow passed, the air emitted a sharp explosion, and the violent spiritual power stirred up a hurricane. The dead leaves on the ground were crushed into dust before they even touched the whip shadow, and it rushed straight towards the high priest with a sharp murderous intent.
Feng Yin stared at Fu Ying's back, his thin lips pressed into a tight line.
Her graceful figure fluttered in the dust and sand, and each move was so fierce that it was frightening.
Even if he hadn't been attacked, it would have been difficult for him to escape unscathed from such an attack - she could heal and fight, but was she really just a witch?
After being shocked by Fu Ying repeatedly, Feng Yin suddenly realized that he had never understood this female from the beginning to the end.
She could jump off the Cliff of Thorns to find the beast crystal for her beast husband, and she could stay by his side to achieve her goal, but why would such a female be willing to give birth to a cub for him?
"roar--!"
With a deafening roar, the high priest's body suddenly twisted and swelled.
The black robe draped over his body was torn apart, and in an instant he turned into a huge, ferocious four-legged lizard. His thick tail covered with blue-black scales swept across the ground, plowing deep grooves in the ground.
Fu Ying shook his wrist, the long whip disappeared, and a three-foot cold blade condensed in his hand.
She soared into the air like a swallow and in a moment she was above the giant lizard's head.
"Clumsy." She sneered, and the dagger in her hand turned into a silver lightning.
The monitor lizard's dark blue scales were as fragile as thin paper in front of the cold blade. The moment the tip of the blade penetrated, a streak of blood flashed. The monitor lizard rolled and roared on the sand, but it could not break free from the dagger that nailed it to death.
"How can a high priest with a mere six-star pattern control so many tribes under the Thorn Cliff?" Fu Ying's gaze fell on the giant lizard's forehead, on which there was only a six-pointed star pattern.
The surroundings suddenly fell into an eerie silence.
The orcs accompanying the high priest first gasped, and then bloodthirsty glints flashed in their eyes. Most of them had seven-star patterns, and the leading male even had eight-star patterns, all of them possessed terrifying combat power.
Fu Ying took a quick glance, pulled out the dagger in his hand, and casually shook off the blood on it. A sneer appeared at the corner of his lips: "What? You want to fight?"
As she spoke, the high priest who was being stepped on by her suddenly let out a miserable cry and shrank back into human form.
His skinny body was in a very sorry state, and his throat was filled with wails: "Female, female, let me go..."
Fu Ying blinked slightly and beckoned to the high priest: "Let you go? Sure, give me the medicine."
The high priest's expression changed, but seeing the smile on Fu Ying's face, he gritted his teeth and said, "Give it to me, I'll give it to you!"
Fu Ying's eyes flashed, and he keenly caught the subtle changes in the orc fighters' muscle tension.
A cold smile appeared on the corner of her lips, and the dagger between her fingers suddenly turned into a cold light.
"laugh!"
The sharp blade pierced the high priest's abdomen with precision, and the handle was still trembling.
"Ah——" The high priest screamed miserably, his whole body trembling with pain.
"Want to play tricks?" Her fingertips lightly brushed the trembling knife handle, her voice so soft it was chilling: "I don't mind pushing this knife in another three inches."
"No, I dare not... I really dare not..." The high priest's face turned pale and he was in so much pain that he couldn't speak a complete word.
The high priest clutched his bleeding abdomen, his face twisted as he roared at the orc thugs, blood foam oozing from between his teeth: "What are you still standing there for! Give the holy cylinder... give it to the witch!"
No matter how stupid he was, he could tell that the little female in front of him was the messenger of the Beast God, the witch.
He secretly groaned in his heart, Thorn Cliff is the place where the Beast God was exiled. What are you, a witch, doing here?
The orc thugs looked at each other, and finally handed the bamboo tube they were carrying to Fu Ying.
Fu Ying took it, half-closed her eyes, and raised her voice slightly: "Is this medicine?"
Feng Yin walked over at this time, his slender palm covering the bamboo tube. He lowered his eyes and sniffed lightly. The silver-white hair on his forehead cast a fine shadow on the bridge of his nose. His pale lips parted slightly: "That's right."
Fu Ying opened the bamboo tube and took a sniff. He was startled and asked in surprise, "Wine?"
The high priest trembled and looked at Fu Ying in confusion: "What is wine?"
Fu Ying lowered his eyes and looked at the high priest: "Then what do you say this is? How did you find out that this thing can suppress the backlash of the fallen orcs?"
The high priest sat slumped in a pool of blood, his trembling hands pressing tightly against the wound on his abdomen.
There was no trace of arrogance in his cloudy pupils anymore, only the fear of survival.
It turns out that the "high priest" in front of him was just a wandering orc many years ago.
While avoiding wild beasts, he accidentally broke into an abandoned cave of the ape tribe. Hungry and thirsty, he ate the moldy fruits stored in the cave by the ape tribe, but unexpectedly found that the backlash in his body subsided.
Later it was discovered that several flower seeds were deposited in the liquid produced by the rotten fruits.
Over the years, he has relied on this method to earn beast crystals, but unfortunately, due to his limited talent, he has not made much progress.
Fu Ying looked at the speculator coldly and asked, "What kind of flowers are you talking about?"
The high priest said hurriedly, "I, I don't know! That flower is beautiful, but it only grows near the ape cave. No one knows what it is called, and I don't dare let others find it..."
The high priest was trembling all over, his voice broken and incoherent, and blood foamed from the corners of his mouth with every word he spoke: "Your Excellency, Honorable Shaman, I swear by the Beast God that I will never again dare to cheat the orcs of their Beast Crystals, never again... never again... Please, let me go..."
At the end of his speech, he choked up, and turbid tears washed away the blood stains on his face.
Fu Ying lowered her eyes to glance at him, and suddenly chuckled, "Oh? Then tell me, where did you hide all those beast crystals you cheated from various tribes over the years?"
