Chapter 2 Letting Go 2

Gong Chengjue: "...I've been drugged."

She was about to say something more when she heard footsteps getting closer and closer, so she shut her mouth.

You could feel that he was also very nervous as he pressed down on her.

Su Ziqing's heart was in her throat; mercenaries were not to be trifled with.

The abnormally hot body temperature made Su Ziqing feel burning through her clothes. His handsome features were so close that they were almost touching her face, and his scalding breath sprayed directly in front of her nose. His red lips were so close that it seemed as if they could touch each other if they just parted their lips.

She awkwardly turned her face slightly to the side.

"Don't move." Their lips brushed together almost imperceptibly, and Su Ziqing's eyes widened, her body instinctively shifting slightly.

"Hmm..." Gong Chengjue groaned softly; she had touched his wound.

Cold sweat broke out on Gong Chengjue's forehead. His nerves were on edge. "Be obedient," he said.

A series of hurried footsteps forced the two men who had reached the car to stop, and they quickly got in and drove away, leaving the parking lot quiet again.

An unfamiliar cell phone rang at that moment. Su Ziqing pushed Gong Chengjue, who was still on top of her, and said, "Hello, they're gone. Also, your phone is ringing."

The person on top of her remained motionless.

"Hello!"

She pushed him hard, but Gong Chengjue didn't budge.

Has she fainted?

Su Ziqing directly kicked his wound, causing Gong Chengjue to wake up in pain.

Seeing that he was awake, she pretended to be innocent and acted as if she hadn't done anything, nudging him and saying, "Your phone rang."

Gong Chengjue felt cold sweat pouring out in waves. This woman looked so young, how could she be so ruthless? He could clearly feel the wound starting to bleed again.

He answered the phone, "I'm in the underground parking garage."

After hanging up the phone, he sat up straight. The pain from his wound made his face twitch. He looked at Su Ziqing, whose pure white dress was now completely ruined and stained with crimson.

Su Ziqing's phone rang at that moment. She picked it up and answered, "Grandpa, I've really arrived. I'll go straight to the banquet hall in a bit."

After hanging up the phone, she got out of the car and opened the trunk. She remembered that she had bought two dresses yesterday and put them in the trunk.

"Mr. Gong." Several tall men ran up and called out to the man in the car.

Su Ziqing paused slightly upon hearing the surname, then pretended not to know anything, took the bag containing the skirt, and closed the trunk.

She had originally intended to ask him for compensation for his losses, but now that she heard his surname was Gong, she only wanted to talk about someone she had never met.

The surname Gong means trouble!

Gong Chengjue stepped out of the car. He was pale from blood loss, but he still managed to stand as if he were a normal person.

Special Assistant Luo Jinhan draped a coat over Gong Chengjue's shoulders and whispered in his ear, "Mr. Gong, how are you?"

"I'm fine." Gong Chengjue pulled his coat tighter and looked at Su Ziqing, who was pretending to be innocent.

Su Ziqing was holding a shopping bag, her hands trembling. Her small face, no bigger than a palm, and her large, clear eyes were trembling slightly, tears welling up in her eyes. "I didn't see anything."

Gong Chengjue: "..." If he hadn't personally witnessed her impressive performance just now, he would have really thought she was a pampered and naive rich girl.

The spot where she pricked him with the needle is still slightly numb!

"Drive the car over here," Gong Chengjue said to Luo Jinhan, his eyes fixed on Su Ziqing.

Is this woman a drama queen? She's putting on such a convincing act.

He waved for the others to move away and said to Su Ziqing, "Give it to me."

Su Ziqing blinked, and the tears that had been welling up in her eyes finally slid down, asking innocently, "What?"

Gong Chengjue frowned. "A ring!"

"What ring?" Su Ziqing remained innocent.

Luo Jinhan's car was parked right in front of them. Gong Chengjue gave Su Ziqing a deep look and asked, "What's your name?"

“I don’t want to know you,” Su Ziqing replied directly.

Upon hearing this, Gong Chengjue smiled slightly, a hint of ambiguity in his expression, "Do you know what taking my ring means?"

"I don't understand what you're talking about." Su Ziqing found him utterly baffling. "Sir, I was inexplicably taken hostage by you, and then you indirectly saved me. Is this how you treat your savior?"

Gong Chengjue gave her another deep look, which made Su Ziqing feel a little creeped out, but he didn't say anything, got into his car and left without even a thank you!

He kidnapped her, dirtied her car, stained her dress, and even stole her first kiss... He didn't even say thank you in the end. If his surname wasn't Gong, she wouldn't have let it go like that.

Putting on her coat and tying her messy hair into a ponytail, Su Ziqing reached for the gift box that had somehow been pushed to her feet. She patted it and caught a glimpse of a ring in the corner of her eye.

The ring was exquisitely crafted with an intricate design. She frowned. Was this the ring he had just mentioned?

…………………

Su family

Su Ziqing returned to the Su family home after receiving the call. She didn't drive the car inside, but simply parked it at the entrance and got out.

Two black cars were parked in front of the Su family's house, and bodyguards in black suits stood there expressionless.

Su Ziqing frowned slightly. Would someone come to visit at this hour?

Upon seeing Luo Jinhan, whom she vaguely recognized, Su Ziqing's furrowed brows furrowed even more. It was them!

Su Ziqing stared at Luo Jinhan, wondering if her grandfather had any business dealings with the Gong family. If so, she might have to find an opportunity to remind her grandfather not to get involved with anyone surnamed Gong.

Pretending to be expressionless, Luo Jinhan watched Su Ziqing enter the Su family home and secretly breathed a sigh of relief; Miss Su's eyes were rather frightening.

Inside the Su family hall, the old master Su, dressed in a Tang suit, sat on a sandalwood chair. His dyed black hair made the eighty-year-old look much younger. His wise eyes met those of Gong Chengjue, who had come to visit today, and he was turning a string of crystal beads in his hand.

“Mr. Gong…” Su Shilin began.

"Grandpa," Su Ziqing called out as she entered the hall, interrupting Su Shilin.

Seeing the person sitting on the guest chair, even though she could only see the back of their head, she was already quite certain that the person who came was the same Gong from three days ago.

She walked towards them, then said to Su Shilin like a dutiful girl, "I'm back."

Su Shilin smiled at Su Ziqing, "Ziqing, go back to your room first. Grandpa will call you when he's done with his work."
