Chapter 26 The Perverted Opponent

On the outskirts of Z city, a torrential downpour began at night.

Dark clouds obscured the moonlight, and in the rain, three military SUVs disguised as cargo trucks quietly stopped in the dense forest three kilometers away from the abandoned chemical plant. The doors opened silently, and Han Feng's fully armed team stepped into the mud.

Chen Feng's encrypted communications have received the latest intelligence:

The Bloodblade mercenary group infiltrated in three groups—

1. East Route (4 people): Demolition expert 'Butcher' leads the team, carrying C4 explosives, and takes the abandoned railway line;

2. West Route (3 people): Sniper 'Ghost' leads the team, carrying anti-materiel rifles, advancing along the river;

3. North Route (1 person): The leader 'Blood Wolf' sneaks in alone, the route is unknown, and he is suspected of being a backup.

Han Feng wiped the rain off his tactical goggles and gave the order in the squad channel:

"Iron Tower and Night Owl, bring heavy firepower teams to ambush the chemical plant, and wipe them out in one fell swoop once they regroup."

"Ash, Egret, you two go to the east route and take care of the demolition team."

"Stinger and Shadow are in charge of the snipers on the west flank."

A few low "Received" sounds came through the earphones.

Han Feng's target was Blood Wolf, the commander of the Snowman Mercenary Group.

Just then, Su Wanwan's voice suddenly cut in through the earpiece: "Han Feng! I just hacked into their communication channel and found that Blood Wolf is carrying 'something'—a biological toxin! It's suspected to be developed specifically for you!"

The system's real-time analysis revealed: "A toxin similar to ricin was detected, but mixed with a neurotoxin, with a lethality rate of 99%."

Han Feng's eyes turned cold: "Change the command—capture Blood Wolf alive."

West Road, at the edge of the river.

Stingers and shadows moved like phantoms through the reeds. Rain washed over the riverbank, muffled their footsteps.

"Ten o'clock, heat source reaction," Sting whispered.

Through his night vision goggles, Han Feng saw a figure setting up a Barrett M82 sniper rifle on a slope 300 meters away—it was "Ghost".

“I’ll do it.” Shadow took the composite bow off his back and nocked a specially made carbon fiber arrow.

The bowstring vibrated, and the arrow shot through the air—

"puff!"

The arrow tip pierced Ghost's sniper scope with pinpoint accuracy, and shards embedded themselves in his right eye. Before he could even scream, a shadowy figure flashed behind him, a cold glint in the eye, severing his tendons in his hands and feet.

"Leave them alive." Stinger pressed down on Ghost's throat. "Where's Blood Wolf?"

The "ghost" grinned maliciously: "You won't find out from me." Then it bit open the poison hidden in its mouth.

On this east side of the road, there is an abandoned railway.

Snow leopards and venomous fangs lurked inside a rusty train carriage. In the distance, four mercenaries advanced along the tracks, the leader, "Butcher," carrying a bulging satchel charge.

"The detonator is in his left hand," the egret conveyed through lip reading.

Ash nodded and pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

A .338 Lapua Magnum bullet pierced "The Butcher's" wrist, and the detonator fell into the mud. The other three had just raised their guns when White Heron flung out three needles, the neurotoxin-coated tips instantly paralyzing their muscles.

"Killed." Ash confirmed that the target was incapacitated.

After completing their respective tasks, the teams arrived at their assembly point, the chemical plant.

After a thorough search, the team found no one inside the chemical plant. It was clear that Bloodblade, except for Blood Wolf, had been completely wiped out.

Han Feng carefully searched several key passes for any possible routes the Blood Wolf might take. Just then, a report came through his earpiece: the Blood Blade Mercenary Group had been completely wiped out.

At this moment, the system issued a voice: "Host, the location of the Blood Wolf has been detected. It is in the dense forest north of the suburbs."

"You still have some use at crucial moments." As soon as he finished speaking, Han Feng moved like the wind towards the dense forest in the north.

Han Feng moved silently in the shadows, the fallen leaves beneath his feet making no sound. His gaze was fixed ahead—Blood Wolf was crouching under an ancient tree, the communicator in his hand emitting static.

"Damn it! Ghost? Got it? Butcher! Answer me!" Blood Wolf growled, veins bulging on his forehead. Only the deathly static of the communicator could be heard.

All eight of his elite subordinates have gone missing.

"Damn Chinese, what went wrong?" Blood Wolf gritted his teeth and suddenly pulled out a dark red vial from his pocket. The liquid inside the glass tube gleamed eerily in the moonlight.

Alert! Unknown genetic agent detected!

Composition analysis: Adrenaline booster + lizard gene fragment + berserk inducer

Estimated effects: 300% increase in muscle explosive power, pain shielding, enhanced dynamic vision, lasting approximately 15 minutes. Side effects: 87% probability of organ failure.

Han Feng's pupils contracted slightly.

Without hesitation, Blood Wolf bit open the bottle stopper and tilted his head back to gulp down the potion.

"Thud—!"

Almost instantly, his body began to twist and swell, his combat suit was torn apart, and strange scaly patterns appeared on his exposed skin. His pupils shrank to a vertical line, like those of a cold-blooded animal.

"Hiss..." Blood Wolf exhaled a puff of white mist, then suddenly turned his head, his vertical pupils staring straight at the bushes where Han Feng was hiding. "Found you."

Han Feng was shocked—although his concealment skills hadn't reached the system's highest level, they were enough to evade any conventional detection. This potion could actually enhance his senses to such an extent?

"Not coming out?" Blood Wolf grinned maliciously, stomping his foot on the ground!

"boom!"

The ground trembled, and the bushes where Han Feng was located were blown away by the shockwave, forcing him to roll out of the ground.

Blood Wolf's vertical pupils locked onto him, his mouth twisting into a grin that reached his ears: "You're Han Feng...? Perfect, I'll kill you to avenge my men!"

"Then let's see if you have the ability!" Before Han Feng could react, Blood Wolf launched the first attack, moving so fast that it left afterimages, and swept a whip kick toward Han Feng's head!

Han Feng ducked to avoid the blow, and the tree trunk behind him snapped in half. Amidst the flying splinters, he delivered a powerful backhand punch straight to Blood Wolf's ribs—

"Bang!"

The fist struck like an iron plate, but Blood Wolf didn't budge. Instead, he grabbed Han Feng's wrist and slammed him to the ground!

"Boom!"

Han Feng landed on his back, the air forced out of his lungs. He endured the excruciating pain, wrapped his legs around the blood wolf's neck, and used the momentum to flip over and throw it away!

Blood Wolf adjusted its posture in mid-air, landing on all fours, and pounced again like a wild beast!

Han Feng was unable to dodge in time and was struck by Blood Wolf's palm. He was sent flying backward like a kite with a broken string until he crashed into a boulder, whereupon he spat out a mouthful of blood.

"What the hell is this?!" This is the first time Han Feng has suffered a setback in combat since he obtained the system. This gene serum is truly monstrous!

"System, is there any solution?"

"Still scanning."

"Damn it, hurry up! If you don't come up with a solution soon, I'm going to die here today."

"I've got it! His weakness is in the third vertebra of his spine!"

Han Feng rolled to the side to avoid the claw attack and drew a tactical dagger from his leg. The Blood Wolf's attacks grew increasingly ferocious, tearing trees apart like tofu under its claws.

In a brief exchange, Han Feng deliberately created an opening, and Blood Wolf fell for it, his claws plucked straight for his heart!

"Pfft—!"

The dagger pierced the third vertebra of the Blood Wolf's back with precision, but Han Feng's left shoulder was also pierced by the claws, and blood instantly soaked through his sleeve.

"Aaaaah!" The Blood Wolf let out a non-human howl as the potion's effects began to crumble, its scales peeling off and its muscles atrophying. It staggered to its knees, its vertical pupils fixed on Han Feng, as if it wanted to devour him alive.

Han Feng, panting, pulled out his dagger and coldly delivered the final blow.

Blood Wolf collapsed to the ground, his pupils dilating.

The dense forest returned to silence, save for Han Feng's suppressed coughing up of blood.

Mission accomplished. Injury assessment: Penetrating wound to the left shoulder, fractured ribs; immediate treatment recommended.
