Chapter 24 The Bait: He will definitely be more desperate than others.

Chapter 24 The Bait: He will definitely be more desperate than others.

The streets are even more bustling and lively after nightfall than during the day.

Pedestrians are no longer simply there to shop. More often, their lingering stems from entertainment, a search for people and things on this earth that can bring them joy.

Like most people, Reinhardt walked aimlessly through the streets. What was different was that the gazes that lingered on him never stopped.

"Beautiful lady, do you need help?"

This was the twelfth person to lend a helping hand; his voice was unfamiliar, as was his scent.

With her hair tied in a high ponytail and her eyes veiled by a scarf, Reinhardt roughly confirmed that the other person was not the target she was looking for, and politely shook her head, refusing the other person's help.

"Thank you, I'm waiting for someone."

Unfortunately, politeness sometimes only leads to people taking advantage of you.

As Reinhardt sat quietly by the flowerbed, he felt a warm source beside him. The man who had just reached out to him took advantage of the situation and sat down right next to him.

With a greasy yet astonishingly confident air, the man smiled and said, "I guessed you were waiting for me."

How strange, Reinhardt felt as if he had fallen into a vat of oil, his breath becoming thick and sticky.

He remained polite, smiled, shook his head, and said sincerely, "I recognize you, it's not you."

Reinhardt's gentle tone only fueled the man's audacity, drawing his gaze in. His eyes burned with undisguised passion as he stared longingly at Reinhardt's profile, leaning closer to him.

"It's okay, I'll wait with you."

The strong smell of smoke and alcohol emanating from him was extremely irritating to Reinhardt's sensitive sense of smell. Reinhardt unconsciously frowned and stepped aside.

Her long, golden hair draped casually over her shoulder, making the skin on her neck appear even whiter and smoother.

The music and streetlights intertwined, weaving an ambiguous and hazy outline. He was like a lost pearl, trapped in the chaotic light and shadow, completely out of place.

It is precisely this incongruity that makes him even more eye-catching.

The man's gaze was unfocused, his body controlled by his lower body, and she couldn't help but reach out to take his hand.

But they were interrupted by another man's voice.

“Reinhardt, so you’ve been here all along. I’ve finally found you.”

Both Reinhardt and the man were taken aback.

“You are…” Reinhardt hesitated, feigning a thoughtful expression, before nodding and smiling politely, “Are you a talent scout?”

The person who arrived was Dirk.

He gave the two men a polite smile, though of course, the smile was meant for the other man.

He leaned down and approached Reinhardt intimately, whispering beside him under the man's resentful gaze.

"Ms. Victoria asked me to help her find you; she's going crazy looking for you."

Victoria, Reinhardt.

He was surprised that the man knew both of their names, but he quickly realized that Dirk might have used other methods. Perhaps he got the information from the waiter; in any case… knowing names wasn't actually that difficult.

He feigned happiness and surprise, and the smile on his lips became somewhat exaggerated.

The curve of his smile was too wide; he had never smiled like that before, so it looked stiff. However, this stiffness was balanced by his good looks, making him appear both shy and radiant.

The smelly man knew he had no chance and finally chose to leave.

Reinhardt secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

After thinking about it, he breathed a sigh of relief on the surface.

"Thank you for getting me out of that predicament. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you."

Dirk's gaze was deep: "It is my honor to help a beautiful lady out of a predicament."

“Sorry, Mr. Dirk, I’m a man.”

Reinhardt didn't understand why everyone called him "lady," even though there were plenty of long-haired men in this world.

Dirk paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "I'm sorry, because your riding outfit is a women's style, I subconsciously assumed you were a woman."

Reinhardt clearly didn't care about that; he simply smiled and changed the subject to Victoria.

"You said my companion Victoria asked you to help me find me? Is that true? Do you know where she is?"

Seeing his prey take the bait, Dirk nodded quickly. Then, remembering that Reinhardt was blind, he said, "I can take you to her now."

"Thank you." Reinhardt feigned delight as he stood up, holding onto the edge of the flowerbed.

Talent scout Dirk was overjoyed to have his desired prey back. However, he suppressed his emotions and, while sizing up Reinhardt, struck up a conversation with a smile.

"I saw a group of children leading you away earlier. Do you know them?"

Erner and Reinhardt have discussed the answer to this question.

“I didn’t know them. I thought it was a prank by my friends. They’ve done similar things before, sneaking away when I’m not looking to see my reaction.” Reinhardt spoke calmly, sounding quite serious. “But during our conversation, I realized that the children didn’t seem to have anything to do with my friends, so I left them.”

According to Erner himself, they never had a direct confrontation with talent scout Dirk, and he was most likely unaware of their existence, so Reinhardt's statement makes sense.

Dirk listened and roughly formed an idea, but his attention remained focused on observing Reinhardt.

This item is so perfect, he couldn't contain his admiration.

Whether in terms of body proportions or appearance, it's no exaggeration to say that he was the most beautiful woman Dirk had ever seen in all his years in the service industry. Taking advantage of the other man's blindness, he stared at Reinhardt without restraint, his gaze almost tangible, starting from his shoes and tracing his body inch by inch upwards.

The perfectly fitted riding outfit accentuated the body's beautiful curves. Dirk's gaze lingered on the soft-looking area below his lower back, and his satisfied and pleased smile was undisguised.

What he liked most were the blonde's legs. Three thin leather straps cinched the outside of her trousers, perfectly accentuating her supple, fleshy curves. A palm-length belt cinched her waist, making it seem as if one hand could completely encircle her. Dirk couldn't help but imagine the look of panic and helplessness on her face when he completely imprisoned her in his arms.

She looked so innocent, even somewhat saintly, yet she was beautiful and sexy.

This excellent contrast will definitely fetch a good price.

It's just a pity he's blind.

……No.

Dirk tilted his chin slightly, his gaze thoughtful, and thought, "It might not necessarily be a flaw."

People with sensory impairments are easier to manipulate. Lacking sight, they are more sensitive in other ways, and will give a stronger response to touch or pain.

Without support, he will be more desperate than others.

Reinhardt noticed that the man next to him was breathing much heavier.

Despite his composure, he showed no sign of doubt and remained calm: "How much longer? Where is Victoria waiting for us?"

Dirk swallowed hard, a hint of regret in his voice. But Reinhardt couldn't quite figure out what he was regretting.

"We'll be there soon." He only heard Dirk lead him to a house that looked very ordinary.

After entering the house, he opened another door and led Reinhardt downstairs.

Hopefully, Reinhardt hadn't lost them, and followed Dirk's directions up the stairs.

A note from the author:

----------------------

Dirk: (licking with his eyes) (greatly erect) (breathing heavily)

Buster, Madonna, and Celine silently dragged the man into a small dark room, preparing to use circumcision as a permanent cure.

Victoria hugged Reinhardt and rubbed his head: [Angry] It's okay, it's okay, nothing happened.

Reinhardt (hesitantly): I'm actually fine, but you guys look like you're about to explode with anger...
