Chapter 25 There's no time. "Take me to her."...

There should have been lamps burning on both sides of the passageway. Although Reinhardt couldn't see them, he could still keenly smell the fragrance of burning lamp oil in the air.

Unlike the dark and damp staircase leading underground that Reinhardt used to frequently pass by, the path he was now walking on was warm and full of fragrance.

The path beneath his feet was soft, and with each step Reinhardt felt as if he were walking on a relatively thick layer of moss, making no sound.

Perhaps it was because of the carpet, he thought, and unconsciously stopped in his tracks, pretending to still trust Dirk as he asked.

"Where are we? Haven't we arrived at Victoria's location yet?"

Talent scout Dirk's eyes remained glued to Reinhardt. Only when Reinhardt turned his head to look at him did Dirk pull his eyes away from the man's round buttocks and thighs, fixing them on the still beautiful face despite being covered by a ribbon.

He chuckled, his tone betraying barely concealed malice, and said, "You'll be reunited soon, don't be in such a hurry."

The poor little blind man seemed to sense something was amiss in the other person's tone. He cautiously stopped, showing obvious hesitation as he pondered whether to continue.

Dirk stepped down the stairs behind him and put his arm around Reinhardt's waist.

Like touching a thorny cactus, Reinhardt hurriedly tried to dodge, but he was no match for Dirk, who gripped his arm tightly, rendering Reinhardt unable to move.

To be honest, Reinhardt wasn't afraid. Dirk's actions were much gentler than those of the soldiers in the dungeon who treated him like dirt, and he was much weaker, but he just felt uncomfortable and didn't like it.

He doesn't like being touched like that, and he especially dislikes the warmth of the other person's palm pressing against his arm.

Reinhardt showed struggle, trying to appear as fearful as possible, like an ordinary person.

This seemed to be exactly what Dirk wanted. He watched Reinhardt struggle with fervor, then grabbed his waist with both hands and roughly lifted him up.

The world spun around Reinhardt, and he only felt the other man smash open a door. As Reinhardt struggled harder, Dirk lost control of him more and more. Finally, he let go and threw Reinhardt to the ground.

Fortunately, the carpet was thick enough that Reinhardt didn't fall and get hurt too badly.

Dirk didn't give him time to recover. Before Reinhardt could react, he quickly stepped forward and grabbed Reinhardt by the neck.

He was eager to try Reinhardt's delicacies first, but the guests they had to serve were very picky, and flawless products were of utmost importance to them.

Therefore, he didn't dare to use too much force when he was pinching the other party, just enough to make the other party unable to resist.

Reinhardt's rosy lips trembled, and he gasped for breath several times. His slender fingers gripped the other's wrist, which was choking him, but his strength was like a mayfly trying to shake a tree; he couldn't budge the other at all.

"You're lying to me." He was relatively calm, but his concern wasn't for himself. "Victoria isn't here."

Dirk raised an eyebrow, thinking that this handsome blond man was not only a gentle-natured blind man, but also probably a fool. Given the current situation, why would he prioritize others?

So cute.

Dirk's non-existent compassion was almost sprouting up.

He grabbed Reinhardt's chin and lifted it up forcefully, while his other hand, which was holding his neck, slid down with a disgusting intent, caressing Reinhardt's waist.

“Victoria, whom you’ve been longing for, is probably already in someone’s bed. Don’t worry, if you’re lucky, you might both be bought back by the same person.” Dirk said, then couldn’t help but sigh, “I suddenly regret bringing you here… I should have taken you home first, and then brought you here after we had some fun.”

It's also possible that she'll stay by your side forever; such a beauty is truly rare.

He was suddenly startled and quickly withdrew his hand from Reinhardt's side, as if he had touched the other's skin and felt a burning pain. But upon closer inspection, there were no other wounds on his hand.

Is it a problem with the clothes? Or did the other party use some method?

Dirk was instantly enraged and raised his hand to slap Reinhardt.

But his hand abruptly stopped before touching Reinhardt's cheek, his expression instantly turning blank. Within seconds, he regained his composure. Dirk, who had been furious moments before, was now considerably calmer. Looking at his raised hand, a look of bewilderment crossed his eyes, as if he had forgotten why he had raised it in the first place.

My gaze fell on the blonde beauty who was turning her face to the side and trying to curl up.

He stood there stunned for a moment, unable to recall why he had tried to harm such a perfect product. Since he couldn't remember, he simply turned his wrist and ripped off the blindfold covering his eyes.

Dirk's eyes lit up when he saw the beauty in full. He couldn't help but feel overjoyed. His fingertips gently stroked Reinhardt's fair and delicate face as if he were playing with a kitten.

"What are you doing?" A woman's voice from behind interrupted him.

Reinhardt heard Dirk click his tongue impatiently, but it was so soft that it was barely audible. Then his tone changed, becoming respectful and polite.

Releasing his grip on Reinhardt, he stood up and faced the door: "What brings you here?"

She was a woman of higher status than Dirk; her voice was low, cold, and devoid of emotion: "I heard you brought back a very nice item, is it this?"

Dirk immediately laughed: "A very fruitful day, this is the second one. The first one was too fiery, I'm afraid he needs some training before he can work. It depends on what kind of style the customer wants."

"What happened to your eyes?" Reinhardt saw the long-haired woman squat down, then his chin was gently pinched and his face was lifted up. "Did you do this?"

“No,” Dirk quickly denied. “He’s blind.”

Damaged goods are a big deal. Although some customers like imperfect items, they are a minority. Most of these customers will choose to buy the good ones and adjust them to their own preferences. Therefore, they will keep the goods intact when selling them.

The woman's tone remained unchanged, and she gave a cold snort. Then, she noticed a red mark around Reinhardt's neck, her eyes turning cold. She stood up, turning her head to the side: "What were you doing just now? Don't you know that products can't have defects?"

Dirk chuckled, "He was disobedient, so I just taught him a lesson."

The woman's expression was unfriendly as she glared at the latter. She then turned her head back to look at Reinhardt, but spoke to Dirk instead.

"This is none of your business. You can leave now."

"But!"

Dirk was about to explode when the woman interrupted him in time: "If you are not satisfied with this decision, you can come with me to confront Mr. [the man] now, and he will definitely give you a satisfactory answer."

Finding no rebuttal possible, Dirk held his breath and squeezed his eyes shut. He forced himself to calm down, removed his hat, and resumed his gentlemanly demeanor.

"As you command." He pulled his hat up to his chest and smiled.

Then came the sound of the wooden door closing, and Reinhardt let out a slow sigh.

He managed to sit up straight, supporting himself on the floor, but the woman standing in front of him squatted down again.

“If you listen to me, you might be able to live more comfortably.” The woman’s voice was numb and carried an emotion that was hard to describe, whether it was sympathy or something else. She spoke to Reinhardt as if it were advice: “Not all customers are mean. If you’re lucky, you might meet a good buyer.”

“Buyer…” Reinhardt repeated the word carefully, and combined it with their conversation, he had a general idea in mind.

Although he had limited contact with people and things and didn't quite understand why people would treat their own kind as commodities, he knew that now was not the time to seek answers.

"Where is Victoria, the girl who traveled with me?"

This is still what he's more worried about.

If she has already been sold and her whereabouts are unknown, even if he manages to return to the ship safely, he will not be able to face Mr. Buster, Madonna, and Ms. Celine with peace of mind.

"Worry about yourself first," the woman said calmly. "Of course, you can also pray that some wealthy customer takes a liking to both of you and buys you both, so that you can meet again."

As she spoke, she took something out of somewhere and brought it close to Reinhardt's neck. Reinhardt, with his extensive experience of being imprisoned, immediately realized the object's purpose. Recalling Dirk's reaction earlier, he tried to raise his hand and touch the woman.

The latter thought he still wanted to make some futile struggles, so he frowned and prepared to take out the sleeping pills. But the next second, when the other person gently waved his hand, his consciousness relaxed and he became dazed.

It was a success!

Reinhardt breathed a sigh of relief.

Thanks to Buster Grand's strict control, he has recovered quite well. However, due to the significant depletion he suffered in the past, it will take some time for him to fully return to his peak condition. Fortunately, he can now use some divine power, at least he no longer feels the pain of overdrawing his life force when resisting malicious intrusions.

Even more fortunately, the meager divine power he has now accumulated seems to allow him to do something else.

Scattered golden light drifted from his fingertips, and he felt those tiny specks of light merge into the other's body. Reinhardt let out a breath and tentatively opened his mouth.

Where is Victoria?

The goal remains the same: to find her.

The woman, whose eyes were clearly vacant, shook her head.

“I don’t know who Victoria is.”

"...This is difficult," Reinhardt thought. He shifted his focus and asked in a different direction, "Where will you keep the newly captured prey?"

“There are many warehouses underground,” the woman said slowly. “Most of the goods will be stored there in batches, waiting for the auction to begin.”

"When does the auction start?" Reinhardt asked again.

"Nine o'clock tonight. There's one hour left before the auction starts."

There's no time left.

Reinhardt raised his hand to touch the collar that had just been put on his neck and stood up.

"Take me to her."

A note from the author:

----------------------

Victoria (moved) (tears streaming down her face): He loves me! The kitten loves its mother!

Buster: If you hadn't added the second half of that sentence, I almost would have hit you.

Victoria (hugs the kind-hearted Reinhard tightly and rubs against him)

Madonna and Celine (following along)

Buster [angry][angry][angry]: Let go of me, all of you!

My darling, my darling [please], you kind little silly goose

————

Oh dear! Four companies already! Believe me, I'm sure I'll get a big stamp...

(The more they talk, the more unbelievable it becomes)
