Chapter 30 "He's a man!" You can't be the legendary...
His tone was unfriendly, and he made no attempt to hide his hostility.
Upon hearing those three words, Batan knew in his heart that he was unlikely to escape today.
His older brother was good in every way, except for one thing: he had a terrible temper, which caused Batan a lot of trouble.
A soft laugh escaped his nose, so quiet that only Reinhard could hear it. His large hand pressed against Reinhard's chest, deliberately stroking upwards under the watchful gaze of his brother Buster.
Until he grabbed the blonde beauty by the neck, she was forced to raise her head, revealing her exquisite and beautiful face.
The finger marks were deep, the red, swollen lines covering half her face. Bloodstains lingered at the corners of the pale beauty's lips, the vibrant crimson color strikingly alluring, staining the pitiful and holy child of the gods with a trace of mortal depravity.
Unlike his hot-tempered older brother, Batan has a relatively peaceful personality, but his hobbies are anything but. What he likes is destined to be things that normal people cannot accept.
This includes inflicting violence on objects of admiration and dyeing a flawless work of art with his own unique colors.
Maintaining his grip on Reinhardt's neck, he forced the man to raise his chin high, looking at his brother with a boastful expression, as if showing off his work.
Seeing his brother's calm demeanor before his outburst, Batan couldn't contain his excitement and joy, and couldn't resist provoking him.
He brushed a drop of blood from the corner of Reinhardt's lips with the pad of his thumb, then brought it to his tongue and licked it in front of Buster.
Then, unsurprisingly, he saw a blazing fire behind his brother.
To his surprise, his body reacted in some way. Like a flowing spring, it soothed his restless yet excited heart, and then slowly flowed to his limbs after turning a corner, refreshing and comfortable.
Batan looked puzzled, his pupils shifting to the blonde beauty in his arms, momentarily distracted. The next second, a sharp pain shot through the side of his neck.
Batan winced in pain, then pressed his free hand against the side of his neck. He grasped the needle, about the size of a toothpick, which had almost pierced his neck, and pulled it out.
Tiny iron needles fell to the ground along with blood. Batan gritted his teeth, staring at the lifeless abbot. He had taken all necessary precautions, yet his brother had never imagined that he would conceal a hidden weapon inside the abbot's body, launching a sneak attack when he was off guard!
In that brief moment of distraction, a terrifying pressure instantly materialized into a shadow, looming over Batan. His pupils constricted, and he instinctively tossed the blonde beauty in his hand as bait.
As he expected, the twin brother did indeed choose to catch the bait first, but he did not expect that the Storm Leader had no intention of letting him go because of it.
The moment he caught Reinhardt, he stopped in his tracks, but after confirming that Reinhardt was still alive, Buster quickly took out the aircraft from his ring and safely placed Reinhardt on it.
With a wave of his hand, he immediately signaled Reinhardt to retreat to a safe distance at the other end of the corridor. Immediately afterward, Battan was sent flying by the incoming fist, crashing heavily into the end of the corridor, creating a spiderweb-like dent in the wall!
Batan felt like half the bones in his face were broken, his ears were ringing, and his head was spinning. But his survival instinct made him prop himself up, barely managing to pull himself off the wall and roll to the side.
He narrowly avoided another heavy punch that Buster was about to deliver!
The walls, which had no ceiling support, were pierced by the repeated attacks, and countless pieces of gravel and gray mist spewed out. Buster spun around and punched again in the blinding gray mist, smashing towards Batan!
The pampered Battan was certainly not as physically strong as his wildly raised brother Buster, and logically, after suffering such a severe blow, he should be delirious by now. But he was surprisingly lucid, and although his head was buzzing with pain, his reason and physical condition were still relatively good.
Seeing the iron fist about to smash into him, Batan grabbed a nearby boulder and used his wrist to quickly move his body away. After the punch created another hole, Batan scooped up some sand from the ground and threw it at Buster's face.
Buster's eyes were blinded by the sandstorm, but his attack only grew more intense!
He drew his greatsword with his eyes closed, and considering that Reinhardt had been pulled out of his attack range, he simply switched from a single attack to a group attack.
Taking advantage of the brief moment when his twin brother was blinded, Batan took out the flying machine from his pocket and was startled to see him draw his greatsword.
"Buster! I'm your own brother! We share a different bloodline! How could you attack me for someone you have no connection with?!"
Buster spat.
"Who do you think you are, comparing yourself to me?"
His Holy Father!
After painstakingly raising the son of the gods for over a month and finally bringing him back to health, this damned stud beat him up like this. Just that alone was enough to make Buster want to kill him.
What's more, he actually dared to use him as a shield!
Damn it! He should have chopped that stallion up before leaving that shitty place!
Growing angrier by the thought, Buster closed his eyes and swung his greatsword, instantly slicing crescent-shaped dents into the solid wall and floor! Batan, who was clinging to the aircraft, was dragged back five or six meters before barely managing to dodge the attack.
This is insane!
Batan was seething with hatred, regretting that he hadn't poisoned and killed the madman before he left!
With such a disparity in strength, it would be too late for him to regret it now. His primary task was to escape from this madman's clutches! As his thoughts raced, Batan's scanning gaze settled on the crack in the wall. His eyes lit up, and he immediately pulled a small bomb from his storage bag and threw it at the blonde princess on the other side of the corridor!
Although Buster's vision was blurred by sand in his eyes, he still keenly sensed Batan's intentions. His body reacted faster than his mind; as he slashed at Batan with his greatsword, he rushed towards Reinhardt.
The bomb was about to roll to Reinhardt's feet when, as if it were about to hit him, the aircraft suddenly flew backward as if it had gained its own consciousness, like a kitten retreating and hiding behind a large rock.
With a loud 'bang,' the flying rubble hit Buster all over.
Buster, unharmed, waved away the dust and strode towards the boulder. Only when he saw the Son of God nestled behind the rock, turning his head toward him upon hearing the sound, did his tense nerves suddenly relax.
……good.
Not only are they alive, but they are also lucid.
Looking back at the other end of the corridor, Battan's figure had already disappeared. Only then did Buster notice a staircase hidden in the wall he had split open.
His murderous intent had already been set in, and letting Batan go like this was clearly not enough to vent his anger. Reinhardt noticed that he seemed prepared to continue the pursuit and raised his hand to stop him.
"Save Victoria first."
The Storm Leader, who had been so aggressive just moments before, felt his anger inexplicably subside by more than half upon hearing the voice of the Son of God. He avoided Reinhardt's swollen cheek and pinched his chin to signal him.
"Open your mouth."
Reinhardt was puzzled, but out of trust in Buster, he obediently opened his mouth.
Buster pinched Reinhardt's chin, looking him over from left to right, and noticed a cut on the tip of his tongue, probably from biting himself while being beaten; blood was seeping from the inside of his mouth as well. Having been deprived of sunlight for years, Reinhardt's skin was already paler than average, and although a month of recuperation had restored some color, it was still radiantly white.
So much so that even the slightest injury leaves a very noticeable mark.
Buster looked at the small crack on his lip and his head throbbed with anger.
He should have chased after that pile of dog poop and beaten it to death first!
Reinhardt, on the other hand, was still worried about Victoria and hoped that he would stop worrying about him and hurry up to rescue his companion.
Suppressing his anger, Buster reached out and pulled Reinhardt back into his arms from the aircraft. Reinhardt was still a little nervous and subconsciously touched the hand around his waist. Only when he felt the familiar calluses on the back of his hand did he breathe a sigh of relief and confirm that the person in front of him was Buster.
Such a commotion would soon attract the city guards. The Storm Leader was carrying the person and was about to reunite with his companions when Reinhardt suddenly spoke up and tried to break free from his embrace.
"I can walk by myself."
Buster glanced sideways: "The road isn't suitable for a little blind man right now."
Buster had completely dismantled the walkway, making it impossible for a blind child to walk safely on it.
Reinhardt's face was swollen, and his speech was somewhat slurred, but his mind was very clear.
"We can use aircraft."
No sooner had he finished speaking than he saw Buster casually wave his right hand and start spouting lies.
"Where did this flying machine come from?"
The Son of God, feeling his waist and arms tighten even more: "..."
Forget it, the situation is urgent, there's no need to waste time here.
The Storm Boss mount was a great value for money, not only was it readily available, but it was also very safe and sturdy. Reinhardt barely felt any bumps before it was transferred to the auction platform.
The other members who had completed their missions had gathered here early, awaiting the leader's next instructions, while Madonna arrived just in time, carrying the unconscious Victoria.
Celine threw the middle-aged man to the ground, and Reinhardt could tell from the man's screams that he was the 'Mr.' who had given himself as a gift to the bootleg Buster.
In addition, there was an unexpected distinguished guest.
As he lay on the aircraft, witnessing the entire process of its slow descent from the sky, he trembled uncontrollably, his face deathly pale, thinking he might be silenced by the ghost-like man before him.
Madonna laughed heartily and said, "Chief, where did this little mouse come from?"
leader?
Erna paused for a moment, his gaze fixed on Buster.
The burly, handsome man no longer resembles a ghost; having found the blonde princess, he now dons human skin and appears exceptionally reliable.
Erna saw him glance at him, and his expression softened considerably, a smug smile curving his lips.
"The messenger. Find someone to take him to a street ten kilometers away from here, and give him a reward."
His eyes, which had lost their luster, slowly regained their sparkle. He stared wide-eyed and instantly sat up straight.
"You...you wouldn't happen to be the legendary Storm Army bandits, would you?!"
He looked at Reinhardt, his face flushed with excitement: "So... you were actually the woman of the Stormwind Bandit Leader?!"
Upon hearing this, the Storm Leader felt it necessary to clarify the misunderstanding.
He lifted his arm up and bounced Reinhardt closer to him, tilting his chin up high.
The voice clarifying the situation was incredibly loud; the Storm Leader enunciated each word clearly:
"He's a man!"
-----------------------
Author's Note: The Storm Leader's voice boomed: He's a man!
Madonna: ...
Celine: ...
Victoria: The point of that statement isn't whether he's male or female, is it?!
Reinhardt asked earnestly: So what's the key point?
Victoria: ...No wonder you two idiots are a perfect match, you might as well die of stupidity!
