110 was actually caused by a sword

As Yunzhe lay on his bed on the second floor of the stable, a question suddenly came to mind: Was it just me who encountered so many problems, or did everyone have all sorts of problems?

This "everyone" refers to Serena, Andrew, and even Sind and Lunlang.

If everyone is in such a state of chaos, Yun Zhe feels he should feel much better.

After returning to the stables that evening, he went to Hamelin's house and talked with her for a long time. Hamelin believed that the vampires who had been chasing her had finally caught up with them. However, she regretted that she couldn't provide Yun Zhe with any information about the two vampires because she had escaped too quickly.

As part of their deal, Yun Zhe was to help them eliminate the pursuing group. If it were just a battle between vampires, Yun Zhe felt his side had a good chance of winning. However, the presence of so many villagers and soldiers restricted his actions, preventing him from fully utilizing his abilities.

So we need to find a way to create an environment where vampires can fight each other one-on-one.

Unfortunately, the initiative was not in their hands.

After returning to the stable, Yun Zhe tossed and turned in bed, looking distressed. This was the first time in a long time that he had been so worried.

Ellie stood up and hugged Yun Zhe from behind, but didn't say anything. She knew that at this moment, she couldn't help Yun Zhe think of any good solutions to cheer him up.

"I need to think of a way to lure the enemy in, to make them fall into our trap," Yun Zhe muttered to himself. Then, Yun Zhe finally abandoned his many complicated ideas and decided to use the simplest method: fishing with a straight hook.

The night passed peacefully.

The next morning, Yun Zhe carried the Human King's Sword to find Hamelin. His idea was simple: to have Debini or Akdina act as bait, wait for the enemy to take the bait, and then have the others rush out from the side to wipe them all out.

Yun Zhe shared his thoughts, but Hamelin was clearly more curious about the sword behind him.

"My lord, may I take a look at your sword?" Hamelin's voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement.

Yun Zhe was somewhat dissatisfied with this answer, but still took the sword and handed it to Hamelin.

Hamelin picked up the sword and examined it closely. Although she tried to remain calm, her slightly trembling hands betrayed her.

Yun Zhe took a step back, looking at the scene before him with amusement.

Hamelin suddenly realized what was happening, but it was clearly too late.

"Why are they pursuing you, besides the reason you mentioned last time?" Yun Zhe seized the opportunity and suddenly asked.

"Because of the sword, the Mad King's Sword. I stole the most famous Mad King's Sword from them. I forged a fake sword to return it, but they have obviously discovered that the sword was a fake and they want to take back the real one."

"Is this the real sword?"

“Yours is also fake, but this sword is a more realistic imitation. That’s a surprising discovery.” Hamelin’s voice was still hollow, but there was still a hint of excitement mixed in.

Yun Zhe nodded. He suddenly remembered seeing Debini carrying a long strip of cloth to the blacksmith yesterday, and he figured it must be about this.

"Let me see that real sword," Yun Zhe said.

Hamelin snapped his fingers, and then Debini walked into the room with a puzzled look on his face.

"Show that sword to the master," Hamelin said, his voice carrying an air of authority.

Debini glanced at Hamelin, then at Yun Zhe, and then at the longsword on the table, instantly understanding what had happened. Without hesitation, he quickly placed the other sword on the table and left the room.

Yun Zhe looked at the two swords on the table. They were indeed exactly the same. The only difference was that the hilt of the real sword was wrapped in layers of white cloth, as if it was afraid of being touched.

Yun Zhe examined the two swords carefully, surprised that the bait had come so quickly.

"Wait, how do you know this sword is real?" Yun Zhe asked curiously.

Hamelin was no longer under control, but being as clever as she was, she understood the situation. After a moment's hesitation, she honestly said, "Actually, I didn't believe it at first either. It wasn't until they chased me that I became somewhat convinced. But what truly convinced me was my second son, Rosen. He used this sword, which caused a drastic change in his personality. Although he wasn't a good person to begin with, he became even worse after using this sword. It was only then that I became certain that this sword was indeed the famous Mad King's Sword from history."

"Why is it called the Mad King's Sword?" Yun Zhe asked curiously.

Hamelin was clearly surprised that Yun Zhe didn't know about the Mad King's Sword. She glanced at Yun Zhe, wondering whether to tell the truth, but then she remembered that she had been controlled earlier and might have already told the truth. Was this question just a test?

Thinking of this, Hamelin replied somewhat dejectedly, "The Mad King's Sword can change a person's mind. It can turn a good person into an evil one, and an evil person into a good one. However, the user often cannot withstand the impact of this change and will gradually go completely insane."

Yun Zhe was utterly astonished; he had never heard of such a bizarre weapon before. However, he remained outwardly calm, continuing to examine the two swords and ponder how to best utilize them.

Seeing Yun Zhe's calm demeanor, Hamelin suddenly felt that his earlier honesty might have been the right thing to do. This Yun Zhe seemed a bit too cunning.

"So you want to use this sword to escape again?" Yun Zhe smiled as he looked at Hamelin.

Hamelin suddenly stood up straight, looking at Yun Zhe with some wariness.

"Have you ever thought about this? They might not even care whether the swords you gave them are real or not," Yun Zhe said with a smile, as he found a stool, sat down, and got up.

Hamelin's chest heaved; Yun Zhe's words had clearly stung her.

"It seems you actually knew as well." Yun Zhe stared at Hamelin, who could only lower his head to avoid Yun Zhe's gaze.

“It seems the necessity for our cooperation has increased even more,” Yun Zhe sat up straight and said seriously. “I’m just curious, how do you plan to deal with them? Do you intend to use this sword?”

Hamelin suddenly wilted like a frostbitten eggplant. She had indeed considered this possibility, but she simply didn't have the courage to pick up the sword.

However, Yun Zhe was thinking about something more. Clearly, the fact that he had repeatedly sought out Hamelin for such a mad sword meant either the sword was extremely valuable, or it held other secrets.

Currently, the latter seems more likely. Clearly, Hamelin was tempted by the sword's wealth, but she didn't realize the secret it carried was something she couldn't bear.

"This sword is definitely not that simple," Yun Zhe thought to himself.
