Akdina's Other Personality

Akdina huddled under a large tree, looking up at the gnarled roots above her head, and carefully tightened her clothes around her neck.

After two days of fleeing, she began to feel sleepy. This was a very unusual situation.

Although she was running in a daze and even questioned why she was running, she still knew that a female vampire was chasing her and had almost killed her twice.

Having run this far, there is now some sense to it—to escape the female vampire's pursuit. But what was the initial reason for running away?

Just thinking about this problem gave Akdina a terrible headache, as if something was hidden in her mind, like a tight band tightly constricting her brain.

But Akdina couldn't stay awake any longer; she was so tired that she finally drifted off to sleep under the tree roots.

The moonlight shone on her face, and Akdina suddenly became alert.

It was exceptionally quiet around us; there were no insects chirping or frogs croaking.

This was unusual. Akdina cautiously rolled out from under the tree roots, then lay on the ground, cautiously looking around.

The shadows were heavy, and the only sound was the wind rustling through the leaves.

She slowly straightened up, trying not to make a sound. Still nothing seemed amiss. She took a step forward, but suddenly collapsed to the ground.

A series of memories assaulted her brain, as if the tight band had disappeared, and all the memories rushed out at once, instantly filling her brain.

Akdina clutched her head, her body trembling slightly. The sudden surge of memories was just as painful as the pain those memories had brought her. She collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.

In the distance, the elf riding the white tiger kept watching the fallen elf, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

His conversation with Ellie revealed something shocking to him: an elf had turned into a vampire.

This is indeed an extremely rare occurrence. Due to their faith and kind nature, very few elves have ever been successfully transformed into vampires. Those who were transformed invariably committed suicide or starved to death. This elf vampire, however, is clearly different; she killed people and numerous animals, obviously resorting to any means necessary to survive.

The fact that an elven vampire wanted to live shocked him even more than what they had been investigating in this land.

Therefore, she must die.

At that moment, she was curled up on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably, her voice so mournful and desperate. It was easy to hear pain, regret, sorrow, and even anger in her cries.

The elf jumped off the white tiger, patted its head, and then walked away alone.

Akdina's cries gradually turned into sobs. Then she saw the elves approaching her.

Their eyes met, and the elf couldn't help but tighten his grip on the hilt of his knife.

Unexpectedly, the vampire did not attack, but instead got up from the ground and sat down.

Akdina took a deep breath and then uttered a sentence.

"Kill me."

The elf was stunned for a moment, not reacting immediately.

Kill me!

Akdina shouted excitedly. The white tiger in the distance let out a low howl, as if as a warning.

The elf took a deep breath and approached Akdina. She found that although the vampire was now dressed in rags, her beauty could not be concealed. The elf was stunned for a moment, and unable to bear killing such a beautiful elf, she threw down a short sword and then retreated.

Akdina gave a bitter smile. In her opinion, the elf probably felt that killing her would dirty his hands, so he threw down his sword and let her take her own life.

Akdina picked up the short sword, memories still flashing through her mind like a revolving lantern. She had already flashed back to the moment Daniel had captured her. Then came the memory of tears and humiliation, a somewhat familiar face, and his words.

"Take care of yourself and live a good life."

These words seemed to have a magical power, causing Akdina, who was holding a short sword that had already plunged halfway into her chest, to stop her movements.

She trembled as she drew her short sword and hurled it at the elf.

The elf, who had already relaxed, was utterly shocked by what he saw. He hadn't completely dodged the rapid throw; his shoulder was still struck, and the immense force sent him flying backward. When he got up, he saw the vampire already standing in front of him. Her eyes were frighteningly red, but this only made her beauty more captivating. Although it was clear that this beautiful elf vampire intended to kill him.

The elf used his last strength to draw his longsword, and the white tiger also let out a huge roar.

But it was all too late. Akdina grabbed the elf and bit down, then carried the elf to a nearby tree. In just a few breaths, the white tiger rushed to the tree and roared angrily at the tree.

But all that responded to it was the corpse of an elf falling from the sky.

The white tiger paused for a moment, then stepped forward and sniffed the spirit that had completely lost its life, letting out a mournful cry.

Up in the tree, Akdina wiped her bright red palms on her clothes, glanced at the bewildered white tiger below, and felt a wave of dizziness wash over her.

She felt as if she were being controlled, and she knew she was being controlled, but she couldn't escape this control; she was even somewhat addicted to it.

She was stunned. It was as if she had become a soul, right beside her own body, watching her body commit all sorts of evil deeds.

She felt unwell and wanted to return to that body to regain control, but she was powerless to do so.

The roar of a tiger coming from under the tree startled her. Then she discovered something even more terrifying.

The body gave her a contemptuous and eerie smile.

The white tiger dragged the elf onto its back and, instead of chasing the vampire, circled around and ran towards the elven forest.

On the way, they encountered Ellie, who had come running after hearing the tiger's roar. The white tiger glanced at Ellie with its yellow eyes, then turned and ran away.

Ellie saw the elf on the tiger's back; he was clearly dead, his red blood even staining the tiger's back. But this bloodthirsty impulse didn't last long, because of her years of self-restraint, and also because of the last look the white tiger gave her.

The look in his eyes when he saw Livia collapse in Gerald's arms was probably exactly the same.
