Yun Zhe blinked and nodded in agreement. He also told Blazer to hurry up, and that he would wait for him there.
A slight smile crept across Blaze's face. What a serious Aruru!
When Blazer returned, the Aruru who had promised to wait for him didn't appear at the city gate. Instead, there was a commotion inside, as if someone was arguing. Blazer frowned and hurried inside.
In the central square of the city, dozens of Imperial soldiers were in agitated, surrounding an equal number of Aruru soldiers.
"Why are we locked up?!"
"And what about those Kurman soldiers?!"
"I refuse! I refuse to sleep with the rebels!!"
The Imperial cavalrymen's cacophony gave Blazer a general idea of what was going on. He hesitated for a moment, then walked over to the Imperial soldiers, gesturing for them to be quiet. He then turned to the few Aruru soldiers. "Kurman has betrayed us; they are no longer part of the Imperial army. We are different from them. Why are we being imprisoned?"
Blazer's words lacked any real force, but the Aruru man opposite him, who was clearly the leader, nodded repeatedly. "If it's as you say, then this decision was somewhat hasty. Please wait a moment, my master will be here soon and will definitely give you a perfect answer."
Blaze nodded. He looked around and saw that human soldiers and Aruru soldiers were living together in this castle, which was quite peculiar. He couldn't help but become curious about the adult they were talking about.
Soon, Blaze saw a group of human and Aruruan officers surrounding... the Aruruan who had just been at the city gate, as they approached.
Upon seeing the Aruru, all the soldiers bowed respectfully, confirming Blazer's suspicions.
What surprised him even more was that there was a general dressed as a Kurman soldier next to the Aruru man.
