After the war ended, Yun Zhe did not linger for long, but rushed to Serena's place as soon as possible. The past made Yun Zhe feel somewhat complicated. Mainly, there were rumors in Donic's place that Yun Zhe was a vampire and that Ellie was a vampire. Suddenly, it caused a huge uproar.
Yun Zhe naturally knew who was behind it, but he was unsure about Serena and the others' attitudes. More importantly, how to use this opportunity to deal with Sind was also a problem.
Upon seeing Serena, Yun Zhe felt relieved. It was clear that Serena didn't believe he was a vampire, and even if he were, she displayed strong pragmatism and wasn't planning to abandon him. Having ascertained Serena's attitude, Yun Zhe shifted his focus away from her and began searching for Sind's weaknesses, intending to strike first and resolve the problem completely.
But Sind ran away. After he finished what he was doing, he dashed back to the Duke.
Yun Zhe had no choice but to interact with everyone as much as possible to gauge their attitudes towards him. Things were going much better than he had imagined. Blake had even come up with a plan to use Yun Zhe after he was done with him if he really was a vampire. However, he was clearly also very concerned about Yun Zhe finding out his thoughts, and kept thinking about all sorts of random things, which made Yun Zhe just want to laugh.
Yun Zhe quickly devised a "hitchhiking escape" plan, intending to use his vampire identity to escape Donic in the end, after all these things were settled.
Just as Yun Zhe was making his plans, he received a letter from Agatha Christie. The letter was thick and contained not only a long discourse but also many slips of paper and parchment.
The content is incredibly explosive. According to Agatha's letter, the Elf King's betrayal likely involved stealing something from the Elves and giving it to someone, which led to the Elven victory in the war. Therefore, the Elf King's exile wasn't due to betrayal, but rather the theft of something forbidden. What that thing is is unclear, but it is certainly a mysterious and ancient artifact. Secondly, there's the Mad King's Sword, which is actually an evil sword capable of altering the user's morality. Furthermore, according to a parchment scroll, the Mad King's Sword, the Sunlight Box, and the Elven treasure are key elements of a magical ritual. This ritual could potentially transform vampires into humans, although Agatha wasn't certain of this conclusion.
However, Yun Zhe was convinced of this, and he could already piece together one possible explanation. A vampire, in order to regain immortality and become a human, launched a war against the elves, aiming for the treasures the elves valued most. Clearly, he had already obtained the Sunlight Box and the Mad King's Sword.
Wait a minute! Yun Zhe was stunned. Could the Sunshine Box be the same box from the graveyard? The Mad King's Sword, however, was a fake. Then, could it be that Yun Zhe himself started the last war?
Yun Zhe hurriedly took out the Vampire Diary and read it repeatedly until he was certain he hadn't started the war. Through this reading, Yun Zhe discovered that he had actually preserved the Sunshine Box by deceiving his family with a fake box. Could that family member he deceived be the one who started the war?
Yun Zhe racked his brains, repeatedly reviewing the vampire diary. This vampire hadn't left his name, but it was clear that this vampire was the first one he had converted into, and he regarded him as a brother.
So if he got everything he wanted in the last war but still failed, then it was clearly the box's fault. But it was hard to be sure if he had discovered the problem. If not, then he could only blame the elf who deceived him last time, and himself who stole his sword this time. Thinking this, Yun Zhe finally felt a glimmer of light in the fog.
So this time, he finally got the two things he wanted again. But now, by a twist of fate, Yun Zhe found himself already possessing two magical artifacts. Yun Zhe couldn't help but wonder if he should make contact with the elves?
