Andrew chuckled softly, but quickly masked it with a cough. "We don't need any supply lines; we'll carry our own food." He had initially shown a touch of pity and agreement with Yun Zhe's idea, but the question of food made it clear that Yun Zhe was a complete novice.
Yun Zhe scratched his head. "If you carry your own rations and don't use carriages or other means of transportation, how many days' worth of food can you carry at most?"
Andrew looked down on Yun Zhe even more, but thinking of the bet and Serena's last words, he suppressed his displeasure and replied, "Five to ten days' worth of rations is fine."
"Then bring ten days' worth of rations. The carriages and such will come with us. Traveling light will make it faster."
Andrew looked at Yun Zhe in surprise, "You mean, we're just going to carry our own rations?"
Yun Zhe nodded. "No looting, no making a big commotion. You are an army that shouldn't exist. You should reach your destination as discreetly as possible." Seeing Andrew's idea of looting nearby villages pop up, Yun Zhe hurriedly added.
Andrew frowned, thinking about the hardships of the trip, and couldn't help but suspect that Yun Zhe was settling a personal score.
"I promise you, I hope this operation will not fail."
Yun Zhe smiled broadly, "I definitely won't let you down."
Ellie deliberately appeared near Serena's house and was finally caught by Hee-hee.
Xi Xi didn't really like this slim-waisted, long-legged blonde girl; it was an instinctive dislike. Xi Xi asked coldly, "What are you doing here?"
Ellie saw through the girl's thoughts but didn't say anything. "Something happened on the way back from finding Yun Zhe, and I think I need to tell Miss Serena about it."
Xi Xi reluctantly said "Okay," and then opened the door and led Ellie into the room.
Inside the room, Serena sat in a chair, gazing blankly out the window in the sunlight.
Instead of calling her Serena, Xixi went straight to the bed, sat down, and started looking at the magic book on the bedside table.
Ellie coughed softly, startling Serena awake. She turned around and was a little surprised to see Ellie, then noticed Xixi lying silently on the bed. She smiled apologetically, "Miss Ellie, is there something you need?"
Ellie bowed and said, "When I was looking for Yun Zhe, something happened that I felt I needed to tell you about."
