Is the war about to end in 130?

This was the most chaotic afternoon. Around Yun Zhe were scattered farmers and soldiers fleeing in all directions, running across the hills and through the bushes and forests, making it difficult for Yun Zhe's cavalry to move. They frequently bumped into people or were bumped into themselves. The entire battlefield was in chaos. Yun Zhe had just been bumped into by a soldier running headlong. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind of the soldiers' noisy, frustrated voices. At this moment, Yun Zhe finally understood what a rout meant in this other world. His cavalry was like a lone boat on a stormy, turbulent sea, feeling incredibly vulnerable and helpless.

Yun Zhe took a deep breath. He could no longer see his two carriages. He could still see their backs a moment ago, but now they had completely disappeared behind the earthen slope.

"Hey, she runs pretty fast," Yun Zhe said with a wry smile. But this was also good news, indicating that Ellie had faithfully carried out what he had said before she left.

Yun Zhe looked back at his soldiers. Although they were also fleeing, because they had just won a small victory, none of them showed the fear and despair that the soldiers did. Instead, they looked disappointed and unwilling.

"If there were two hundred of you, would you dare to fight back?" Yun Zhe asked Chad behind him with a smile when he saw that the elven cavalry had not charged.

Startled for a moment, he scratched his head sheepishly, "I was just thinking about it, sir, how long are we going to keep running away?"

Yun Zhe was quite satisfied with Chad's reaction, guessing that others thought the same, proving his gamble had paid off. However, regarding Chad's question, Yun Zhe helplessly shrugged, "Probably heading southeast."

"Southeast? Sir, that's not where we came from..." Zha De frowned, memories from a few days ago attacking him again.

This time, it was Yun Zhe's turn to feel embarrassed. Actually, he had a premonition, but it was indeed not easy to tell these soldiers about it.

River Valley Village not only borders the river, but also has a path leading to Balin. This suddenly made River Valley Village important. Yun Zhe was also surprised when he learned that the path led to Balin, and he even suspected that Serena had indeed had a purpose in sending him here.

Today, this feeling has become even stronger.

"Yun Zhe, your courage is commendable!" Philby rode up to Yun Zhe's side. He truly admired Yun Zhe for charging against the elves in that situation and actually achieving a remarkable victory.

"It was because your soldiers held them back that we achieved our victory," Yun Zhe said modestly. Although Philby's soldiers had completely lost their fighting spirit, somehow they did not seem to be in a hurry to run away. Because of their hesitation on the front line, they did not collapse and held back the elves, giving Yun Zhe a chance.

Yun Zhe will never know why the soldiers didn't run. It was because they were curious and wanted to see what the elves looked like…

Yun Zhe spoke politely, but Philby felt a vague discomfort. Although Yun Zhe's words were clearly an attempt to be friendly, they were also a direct form of mockery.

Philby coughed and pulled a note from his pocket. "This was just delivered by Blackbird. Serena is surrounded. We need to find a way to rescue them."

Yun Zhe looked at Philby to make sure he wasn't joking.

"Do you know how many troops they have? Do you know how many troops you have? Aside from the numerical disadvantage, do you think your soldiers are still capable of fighting?"

Yun Zhe stopped asking his questions. He actually had a fourth question: "Can you still find your troops?" But the question was too hurtful, so Yun Zhe held back.

Philby shook his head repeatedly. Seeing that Yun Zhe remained silent, a helpless expression appeared on his face. "Then what do we do? We can't just stand by and watch."

A gust of wind blew by, and a leaf suddenly hit Yun Zhe's face. Yun Zhe wiped the leaf away and then froze on the spot.

The wind direction seems different today than it has been a few days ago.

Yun Zhe looked around and saw some withered yellow leaves rolling on the ground, the trees rustling, and the sun very warm.

Everything was normal, except the wind direction had changed; the northwest wind had turned into a southeast wind.

Yun Zhe's breathing quickened. He looked at Philby; there was a way, but...

Although the elves' attack on humans had been planned for a long time, the action was rather slow. The main reason was that the struggle between the pro-war and laissez-faire factions within the elves had not yet reached a real conclusion.

Back when Yun Zhe first came to Perth, on the very night he saved Andrew's second son, Wood.

The elves then dispatched their most elite scouts, the White Tiger Knights, to human territory to conduct reconnaissance. Their aim was to reclaim these two lands while the Donic and Lunlang families were in turmoil, thus creating a buffer zone between humans and elves.

The operation was led by the elven prince Tandras and his sister Ginnausti. However, just as the two were preparing to obey their father's orders and launch a major offensive, for reasons unknown, a few days later, orders came again to halt the military operation. A few days later, the operation resumed. This time, the messenger brought not only their father's edict but also his sword, allowing Tandras to act expediently and make decisions on the spot. The loyal brother and sister continued their preparations. They gathered all the soldiers in their territory except those stationed at defenses and essential checkpoints, issued a conscription order, and armed a total of ten thousand warriors. They conducted several war games, as well as necessary training and supplies. Their plan was to divide their forces into three groups to simultaneously eliminate two problems.

But just as everything was going smoothly, Tandras was informed that a batch of arrows and corresponding siege equipment had not arrived as scheduled. This greatly worried the loyal elven prince. His sister had brought back invaluable intelligence from the front lines: the Donic and Lunlang families were engaged in a decisive battle near Donic Castle. The elven prince did not want to miss this golden opportunity.
