Ninety-six female vampires

"Is it a wolf?" Yun Zhe asked Lorraine beside him while looking outside.

“Not necessarily. They don’t look like it, and besides, there are no wolf howls.” Lorraine also looked at the green lights, her eyes full of doubt.

The green lights flickered in the darkness, slowly approaching the village.

Yun Zhe narrowed his eyes, his tone quite unfriendly.

"Whether they're wolves or ghosts, we absolutely cannot let them into the village!"

After saying that, Yun Zhe drew his elven longsword and ran outside.

"Yun Zhe!" Lorraine tried to stop Yun Zhe, but Gao followed him outside. Lorraine stamped her foot and ran out too.

The remaining soldiers looked at each other. Some wanted to leave, while others wanted to stay. It seemed that Yun Zhe hadn't told them to go with him, but it seemed that they should go.

“I don’t need so many people protecting me,” Usa suddenly said coldly. She looked up at the soldiers with a resolute and authoritative gaze, as if to say, “Why are you still here?”

The soldiers looked at each other again, feeling embarrassed by Usha's gaze, and rushed out.

As if seeing an approaching figure, the green light stopped moving.

The heavy rain had stopped, and the air was fresh afterward. Yun Zhe took a deep breath; he could feel the presence of people.

"It's a person, probably a robber or a thief." Lorraine drew an arrow and nocked it on his bow.

Yun Zhe nodded, then turned around and saw that Gao and the soldiers had already drawn their weapons.

"Where is Usha? Is no one protecting her?" Yun Zhe asked.

“Nat and Jack stayed,” the soldiers answered in a cacophony of voices.

Yun Zhe nodded. "They're just bandits at most. Keep your formation intact and don't act rashly and give them an opening." With that, he waved his hand and shouted, "Go!"

Yun Zhe's troops deployed in a well-trained fan shape, quickly encircling the points of light. Their speed caused considerable panic among those using night vision magic.

"Damn it, when did an army appear here? I've never heard of a war here!" a burly man, covered in grime and wielding a short axe, roared in terror.

Beside him was a group of at least ten people dressed in the same tattered clothes as him, wielding various broken weapons.

They were bandits who had wandered over from Dorin. They saw the village during the day and, having gone without meat for several days, planned to have some fun that night. However, they encountered a group of soldiers instead.

It was also because they didn't do a thorough reconnaissance. After seeing the village during the day, they returned to prepare to take action and didn't even arrange for anyone to keep watch. Otherwise, they would definitely have seen Yun Zhe and his group arrive at the village.

Fight or flee? The leader was still pondering, but the cold blade was already flashing before his eyes.

The leader swung his axe and shouted, "Kill!"

Then they were all executed. In just one round, they all fell to the well-trained soldiers.

"Check them over to see if any escaped," Yun Zhe continued. He bent down to examine the fallen corpses; they were all ragged people, their hands calloused, but quite different from the calluses on the soldiers' hands. They had offered almost no real resistance when attacked by the soldiers.

But they are fierce.

After checking the last person, Yun Zhe stood up and looked at Lorraine in the distance. "Something's strange."

Lorraine was surprised by the teamwork and discipline of the Yunzhe soldiers, and replied with a slight hesitation, "What's strange about it?"

“As bandits, they are too weak. But it’s strange that they have a magic scroll that allows them to see at night.” Yun Zhe looked at the stables not far away. “It’s too contradictory. Their strength shouldn’t allow them to have such a scroll.”

"You mean, they were being used?"

"This feels so out of place. Let's hurry back. I suddenly have a feeling that something is about to happen in this village."

Lorraine nodded, still somewhat distracted by the strength displayed by Yun Zhe's troops.

Yun Zhe suddenly rushed towards the stable. Before anyone could react, they heard clattering sounds and shouts coming from the stable, which then turned into a scream.

Yun Zhe charged forward, followed by another scream.

Everyone then realized something was wrong in the stable, and saw a little girl carrying a torch, staggering out of the stable. As she ran, she kept looking back nervously.

Yun Zhe increased his speed, but the distance was still too far. Yun Zhe knew that if he continued to run like a human, Usha would likely be in danger.

Yun Zhe took a deep breath and looked back at the soldiers running alongside him, his eyes blazing with anxiety. He had a premonition, a feeling, that the thing in the stable was probably also a vampire.

Intuition is such a strange thing.

"Usa, run, Usa!" Yun Zhe shouted loudly.

A tall, slender figure appeared at the entrance of the stable. He stood there, watching Usa grow ever more distant, and then glanced at the crowd rushing toward the stable.

Yun Zhe held his breath. He stared intently at the figure; he was now certain that it was a vampire.

Yun Zhe estimated the distance, stared intently in that direction, and kept repeating the same sentence: Stop attacking.

Yes, Yun Zhe had no other choice but to use this method, taking advantage of the bloodline suppression between vampires, to gamble at an extremely long distance.

"Look at me, look at me!" Yun Zhe kept thinking to himself, while muttering to himself, "Stop, stop, stop attacking, stop attacking."

Yun Zhe could only gamble that his opponent was younger than him, and that bloodline suppression would still be effective at this distance.

The figure vanished abruptly. Yun Zhe's heart leaped into his throat.

However, the expected attack did not occur. Usa continued to run, as did Gao and the others. The two sides were getting closer and closer, and Usa's terrified eyes could be seen clearly.

A soldier nicknamed Long Legs was the first to run up to Usha and grab her in a hug. He then shielded Usha behind him and warily looked towards the stables.

Just as everyone breathed a sigh of relief, they saw a shadow suddenly pounce on the long-legged man and bite his neck.

"Vampires!" The crowd scattered in terror, drawing their weapons as if facing a formidable enemy.

Yun Zhe ran a few steps, but kept repeating the same words: Stop attacking! Stop attacking!

The vampire suddenly looked up and met Yun Zhe's gaze.

A beautiful woman, with white hair. But that's all.

Yun Zhe was about to take this opportunity to suppress her with his bloodline and keep her there. However, she had already pushed away the lifeless long legs, and although she did not attack again, she turned around and walked away.

Usha's torch fell to the ground, and she collapsed and fainted.
