The beginning of the intertwining of ninety-two threads of fate

News of the war between Donic and the Lunlang family still managed to get out to some extent.

Debbini, who had been listening to news about the war at his brother's bar lately, had a bold idea.

Their situation in Bahrain is deteriorating day by day. Some time ago, they sacrificed their loyal allies and all their subordinates to avoid a large-scale purge by vampire hunters.

However, contrary to their usual behavior, the hunters did not let their guard down; instead, they searched for vampires in the city even more rigorously.

So Debini wondered if he should take advantage of the lull in the fighting there to develop his business in the war zone, since staying in Bahrain any longer would be unwise.

But there was a big problem: he wasn't sure he could persuade his mother, Hamelin. Hamelin had run this business for years, and it wouldn't be easy for her to give up the fruits of her labor. Besides, he had never offered any suggestions over the years; he had always obeyed his mother's orders.

Debini said goodbye to everyone and returned to his small courtyard, which is now their only base in Bahrain.

In the courtyard, Akdina, an elf with white hair, was diligently washing a huge pile of clothes. When she saw Debini come in, she only looked up at him before lowering her head to continue washing.

Debbini was a little embarrassed. He asked softly, "Is Mother here?"

Akdina nodded, then continued washing clothes with her head down.

Debini stopped thinking about Akdina. He took a deep breath and was about to step into the house when a teacup flew out from in front of him. Debini caught the cup and carefully went inside.

Inside the room, Hamelin, dressed in a black silk dress, glared angrily at Debini as he entered.

"Have you accomplished what I asked you to do?" Hamelin narrowed his eyes, his face full of dangerous signals.

“It’s done. The buyer has been found. The auction will be held tonight, and he will be waiting for you in the secret room.” Debbie paused. “I’ve also found the traitor, that Danny. He seems to have found a new master. But the other party is too cunning, and we haven’t found him yet.”

Hamelin sneered, "Those fools in Dorin, don't they know they're about to face a terrible calamity?" Then her eyes darted around, "You have an idea?"

“Mother, I think we can go to Donic. There’s a war going on there, which would be a good opportunity.”

"Hmph," Hamelin glanced at Debini with a mocking look. "If your brain were half as good as your body, you wouldn't have come up with such a stupid idea. It's close to the elves, and it will soon be taken back by them."

"But Mother, if we don't leave, how will we deal with those invaders?"

Hamelin's chest heaved. "If only Rosen were still alive," she thought, but didn't say it aloud. Rosen's death, and the destruction of his vampire followers, was the beginning of all this calamity. Someone had leaked the news, attracting the attention of a vampire family in another city. Strike while the iron is hot—this was something vampires were very familiar with. So they began to infiltrate Balin, targeting Hamelin and her family.

The vampires that were wiped out some time ago were their vanguard. Now, they have infiltrated the city using more secure methods.

Hamelin realized with despair that at this moment, she only had two people she could trust among her subordinates. And these two were also the most useless in battle.

Hamelin had long been considering leaving, but she hadn't decided where to go, or rather, where she could go.

Hamelin suddenly frowned, as if she had thought of something. "No, no, I won't go over tonight." Then she glared at Debbie. "You idiot, you've been tricked. Wasn't it easy to find a buyer for this deal? Did you just put up a notice like you always do?"

Debini nodded, somewhat flustered, for he had never seen Hamelin so flustered and angry.

Hamelin raised her hand, then lowered it again… She took a deep breath, knowing that there was probably no time to teach this lazy and stupid fool a lesson now.

"Pack your things, let's leave now!"

"Go? Where to?" Debbini asked, looking puzzled.

Hamelin paced nervously back and forth in the room, as if he had finally made up his mind. "Go to Donic, hahaha, go to Donic. Nobody would have thought we'd go to Donic, hahahahaha."

For a fleeting moment, Debbie thought her mother had gone mad, but then she felt a surge of pride that her opinion had been accepted. For the first time, Debbie felt a sense of accomplishment, and she packed her things much faster.

Hamelin keenly sensed this, and as she watched Debini's retreating figure, she was unsure whether to be happy or sad.

At this moment, Akdina came in carrying a huge wooden basin. When she saw Hamelin, she was very frightened and quickly walked upstairs with her eyes darting around.

"Akdina, there's no need to do laundry. We're leaving soon. Take your face mask with you; I don't want your beauty to cause us any unnecessary trouble on the road."

Seeing the confusion and panic in the elf's eyes, Hamelin was surprised to discover that he also had such a kind and gentle side.
