Chapter 54 Misunderstanding

Seeing her cautious manner, the Fourth Prince's wife sighed inwardly. Why did the master suddenly become so unfriendly to this girl?

Recalling the argument between Madam Li and this girl a few days ago, the master has been staying at Madam Li's place these past few days. Given Madam Li's temperament, which cannot tolerate being wronged, it is probably related to this matter.

She hesitated whether to tell the girl, but although the girl was young, she should know some of the details and shouldn't feel uneasy about it.

“These past few days, Master has been staying at Madam Li’s place. I suppose Madam Li said something to Master. You don’t need to worry about it. Master is not blaming you. Perhaps he will understand in a few days that this matter has nothing to do with you.”

Hearing this, Heyue finally understood; so that's how it is.

It would be a lie to say I wasn't disappointed, but I also felt incredibly strange about myself. What right did I have to be disappointed? She was his concubine, and I was just an outsider. Of course, anyone would believe their own concubine, right?

Then I thought that the Fourth Prince must have lost his mind. How could he believe what that Princess Li said?

Do men become blind when they fall in love?

Hmph, I once thought highly of him, but it turns out I can't escape the common fate either.

However, He Yue only hesitated for a moment. After all, they had only known each other for a short time, so there was nothing to be sad about. If someone dislikes you, are you going to fawn over them?

"I'll just ignore him then," He Yue thought angrily to herself, then stopped thinking about it and took her leave after sitting for a while.

In the following days, Heyue did not go to the Fourth Prince's residence. Firstly, her mother had given her instructions, and Heyue did not want to upset her mother. Secondly, Heyue did not want to face the cold-faced Fourth Prince every time.

Not everyone has to fawn over him. I refuse to believe that this matter can't be accomplished without him. There's plenty of time; there will always be other solutions.

The Fourth Prince's wife has not sought her out these past few days, perhaps sensing that the Fourth Prince dislikes her and has simply cut off all contact.

There is no such thing as a good thing without a reason. Heyue finally understood her mother's words and stopped being so self-righteous.

That day, Heyue and her sixth sister went out of the mansion to Jinxiufang in the capital.

Since seeing the clothes that the Fourth Prince's wife gave to Heyue, Yanyue has also fallen in love with them; no one can resist the temptation of beautiful clothes.

Heyue also sent a message to Fucha Yuxiu, and when the two arrived, Fucha Yuxiu had also arrived.

The three of them greeted each other with smiles and then entered the Brocade Pavilion together.

The lobby was filled with many people, all of them elegantly dressed ladies and young girls.

Heyue and Yanyue were both visiting for the first time, while Fucha Yuxiu had been here a few times and was quite familiar with the place.

The three of them spent some time browsing silks in the lobby. Heyue looked around as she picked out the silks.

She didn't expect to meet the person she was looking for on her first visit, but she still couldn't help feeling disappointed.

At this moment, Fang Liushi walked over from the other side of several women and called out to her with a smile, "So it's the Seventh Princess. What a rare guest!"

At this time, Fang Liushi was still gentle, but she was more straightforward and less reserved.

He Yue smiled and said, "My two older sisters and I came here to have a look around."

Fang Liu looked Yan Yue and Fucha Yuxiu over and smiled more broadly: "Please make yourselves at home, ladies. Tell me if you have anything you like."

He Yuexin said, "I really do have something to trouble you with." So she pulled Fang Liushi aside and whispered, "What a coincidence! I have a few patterns I was thinking of asking you for help with. I really liked the clothes you made last time, so I thought I'd come to you."

"Oh? Please speak, Princess." Fang Liu's eyes lit up, and she leaned closer with great curiosity.

"Do you have any brush and ink here? I'll draw it so you can take a look."

Fang Liu nodded, instructed the waiter to look after the customers, and led Heyue to the back of the lobby.

Heyue greeted her sixth sister and Yuxiu, then followed Fang Liushi to the back.

The inner hall is separated from the outer hall by a door. The space inside is not large, but it is very exquisite. The room is furnished with tables, chairs and soft couches, which are places for people to rest.

Fang Liu ordered tea to be served and invited Heyue to sit down. After a short while, someone brought pen and ink.

"What are your requirements, Seventh Princess?" Fang Liu asked with a smile.

He Yue shook her head, said nothing more, and began to concentrate on drawing.

Fang Liu stood to one side and watched.

When Heyue put down her pen and paper, Fang Liu looked at the patterns with bright eyes and exclaimed in amazement, "Princess is truly intelligent. I have never seen such special patterns before."

She didn't believe the girl in front of her could draw anything special; she was just curious. But she never expected to find such a treasure.

"I wonder if Princess would be so kind as to gift me this pattern? As a token of my gratitude, Princess Seven can purchase any clothing in our store that features this pattern at half price."

He Yue nodded: "These patterns are naturally yours, but I also want a 10% cut of every month from the sale of clothing with these patterns here."

"This..." Fang Liu looked troubled. After a moment of contemplation, she gritted her teeth and nodded: "Alright, let's do as Seventh Princess says."

He Yue smiled. Although she was not short of money, there were some things she had to prepare for, which might come in handy in the future.

This can be considered an unexpected gain.

Touching the familiar patterns on it, He Yuexin was filled with mixed emotions, including barely concealed excitement. He only hoped that his method would be effective and that he could get the answer he wanted.

The two people came out from behind and thanked Fang Liu repeatedly: "We'll have to trouble you with this matter, Boss Fang."

"Seventh Princess, you're too kind. I've known you for a while now, and this matter has also benefited our small shop. I should thank you, Seventh Princess." Fang Liu's smile was even warmer than before, and even more affectionate.
