Chapter 308 It’s Okay If You Don’t Want to Say It
He walked into the room and closed the door gently.
The room was very quiet, and Lu Yannan couldn't help but slow down his pace.
Lu Shiman curled up on the sofa with his knees pulled up to his chest. He looked like a small ball, like a cat or dog abandoned on the roadside.
Lu Yannan's breathing stagnated, and his chest seemed to be pressed by a huge rock, making it difficult for him to breathe.
Walking to the sofa, he lowered his eyes to look at his sister lying on the sofa. Her hair was scattered on her cheeks, covering almost her entire face.
Her breathing was steady and she looked like she was asleep, but her white knuckles from digging into her knees betrayed her.
Lu Shiman closed his eyes and tightened his grip on his knees with his fingers.
Her pajamas were stained with blood. Lu Yannan felt a pain in his heart. He squatted in front of her, pried her hands apart, and held them tightly.
Lu Shiman moved her fingers slightly and felt the dry and warm palm wrapping around her.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw my brother's gentle eyes.
She was stunned. When she saw the worry in his eyes, an indescribable grievance surged up, her nose felt sore, and she almost cried.
She bit her lip tightly, the pain forcing back tears, and her voice was hoarse as she spoke: "Brother."
Lu Yannan was stung by her lip biting and separated her lips and teeth with his fingers: "Don't bite yourself, it will hurt."
Lu Shiman didn't dare to look at him, so she lowered her eyes and continued to dig her knee with her other hand.
She had already picked off the scab on her injured knee, and now her nails were digging directly into the tender flesh of the wound through her pants.
"Brother is here, don't scratch it, be good, it's bleeding." Lu Yannan pried her other hand open and held it in his hand, his voice trembling.
Lu Shiman stopped digging, curled up her fingers, and poked her palms with her nails. At this moment, only the pain could keep her calm.
He noticed that Lu Shiman was exerting force with her hands, so he forced her hands open and dug his fingers into the gaps between her fingers to prevent her from hurting herself.
Her fingers were stretched apart, and as she lost her strength, she felt uncomfortable with a panicky feeling of not being able to control her movements.
She subconsciously bit her lip, but stopped when she met Lu Yannan's worried eyes.
Lu Yannan moved his lips, wanting to speak, wanting to comfort, but his throat seemed to be blocked by something and he couldn't make a sound.
Letting go of Lu Shiman's hand, he brushed aside her scattered hair and gently stroked her hair with his palm.
After a while, Lu Yannan finally found his voice: "Manman, who made you angry? Tell me and I will help you vent your anger, okay?"
Lu Shiman shrank back into the sofa again, pursed his lips and refused to speak.
Lu Yannan didn't urge her, but just squatted in front of her and looked at her quietly.
She looked at her brother squatting cautiously in front of her, feeling a little uncomfortable: "Brother, don't squat, your feet will go numb."
She tugged at Lu Yannan's sleeve: "Brother, sit down."
Lu Yannan's heart suddenly tightened. She was in such a state herself, yet she was still worried that his legs wouldn't go numb.
He stood up, picked up Lu Shiman, sat on the sofa, and let her rest her head on his legs like when she was a child: "Did Ji Linshen make you feel wronged, or did your brothers make trouble and make you unhappy?"
Lu Shiman smelled the scent of her elder brother, clutched his collar tightly, closed her eyes and said nothing.
Seeing that she was still unwilling to speak, Lu Yannan felt uncomfortable. He had been a complete failure over the years.
Patting her arm lightly, Lu Yannan stopped asking: "It's okay if you don't want to talk. Just take a nap if you're tired. Big brother will stay with you, always."
Lu Shiman's eyelashes trembled slightly. It was a very ordinary sentence, but she couldn't control the pain in her chest. The pain climbed up her respiratory tract and went against the flow.
She closed her eyes tightly, but her tears could not be stopped. They flowed down the corners of her eyes and dripped onto Lu Yannan's pants, staining them darkly.
The sudden wet touch made Lu Yannan's palm, which was suspended in the air, suddenly freeze, and when it fell again, his fingertips were trembling slightly.
Each drop of the warm liquid that fell one after another turned into a silver needle, piercing the apex of the heart.
He lowered his head and gently stroked the back of her head with his hand. Her hair was scattered and covered her cheeks, but Lu Yannan could still catch a glimpse of her watery eyes.
The Adam's apple rolled with difficulty, trying to crush the moisture blocking the throat, but the eyes were uncontrollably filled with moisture.
At the moment when the tears were about to fall, he rolled his thumb hard over the corner of his eye, crushing the moisture between his fingertips.
Shrouded in a halo of crystal chandelier, the shadows of the two people slowly dissolved in tears.
The atmosphere downstairs wasn't very good.
Ji Linshen sat alone on the single sofa opposite a few people, his face not looking very good.
Lu Chixu turned around and glanced at the silent Lu Jianheng: "Think back to yourself, what did you do?"
"How should I know?" Lu Jianheng felt like he was being tried by three judges, and he felt so wronged.
"She was fine during the meal, but after dinner she sneaked back to her room, so I didn't have a chance to mess with her."
"Later, I was always with you two, and I started to suspect Ji Linshen. He was alone in the room with his sister." Lu Jianheng pointed the finger at Ji Linshen.
"It wasn't me. She took the initiative to hold my hand." Ji Linshen said confidently, "She let go when she heard your voice."
"With just one action, they threw the blame on me, so I think it should be my second brother."
"I didn't even go up there, so I have nothing to do with it." Lu Chixu immediately retorted.
"I mentioned you. I asked if you wanted to eat Second Brother's chicken." Lu Jianheng said with a smirk, "Second Brother roasted the chicken."
"I mentioned you. Is it possible that my sister only...after hearing the words 'Second Brother'..." Lu Jianheng's Adam's apple rolled, and he didn't say the word.
Ji Linshen's gaze fell on Lu Chixu. He felt that what his third brother said made sense.
Lu Qijun also looked at Lu Chixu, and he also felt that it made sense.
Seeing their gazes shift, Lu Jianheng began to analyze, while Ji Linshen and Lu Qiyun were responsible for voting.
Lu Chixu was still trying to defend himself at first, but as he was doing so, he realized something was wrong.
"You think I'm the murderer in Werewolf, and I'm still trying to cooperate with you in explaining. What the hell am I explaining?" Lu Chixu raised his leg and kicked Lu Jianheng on the leg.
Lu Jianheng crossed his legs, and the leg that was hanging in the air was kicked down unexpectedly.
"No, I'll go up and ask directly. Guessing is not a riddle." Lu Chixu was impatient and didn't have the patience to wait downstairs.
The moment he stood up, Lu Qiyun grabbed the corner of his clothes and said, "Don't make trouble."
Lu Chixu slapped his hand away and walked towards the stairs.
After taking two steps, he stopped and turned his head to glance at the three of them: "I'm not like you three, who are more likely to cause trouble than to accomplish anything."
The three people named: “???”
"How can he have the nerve to say such a thing?"
"nerve."
Ji Linshen didn't say anything. He hadn't gotten the status yet and had no right to say anything about Lu Chixu.
Lu Chixu went upstairs with great vigor, but became timid at the door of Lu Shiman's room.
He seemed a little afraid of seeing his sister unhappy.
He will feel sad.
