Chapter 275 Crazy Monster
Li Rongsen learned it quickly, but he found that he had trapped himself in a barrier. He watched An Yan flip over and jump onto the shore, then fixed the rope and said to him, "Wait here for me, I'll be back soon."
"An Yan, An Yan, it's not right for you to do this. How can you go alone!" Li Rongsen was annoyed, but he had no way to break the barrier.
"It's too dangerous. You stay here, I'll be back."
"Untie my knot, An Yan, don't go!" Li Rongsen was angry. He began to use his energy, but he couldn't break the barrier. He could only watch An Yan gradually go away.
An Yan went to the center of the island.
It was a magical place. There was a straight and spacious avenue in the tall woods. The towering trees on both sides seemed to cover the sky. Occasionally, a few rays of sunlight shone through the leaves, and a few rays were reflected on An Yan's face, giving a warm feeling.
Going further, you will see a low hill, which may have been built by humans. On the top of the hill is a tall pavilion like the Yellow Crane Tower, with copper bells hanging on each corner.
At this moment, there was a gentle breeze blowing, and the sound of "ding-ling, ding-ling" came over, which was pleasant and lonely.
An Yan was about to move forward when she heard a tiger-like roar behind her and turned around to look.
It was a ferocious beast, staring at her fiercely, and then roared towards the sky.
An Yan threw the wine in her hand to his feet and said, "This is my gift for meeting you. You should like it."
"I don't like it, but I can use it for watering." The beast spoke, and stood up on its two hind legs, like a normal human being, and said, "What are you doing here? Who allowed you to come to the island?"
"I'm here to collect herbs. I need him."
"There is nothing here that you need. Even if there is, it is not yours and you should not take it away from here." His voice was low and wild, even magnetic, and it echoed in this empty place.
"We can discuss the terms of exchange." An Yan was fearless.
"Everything here is mine. I don't need anything else."
An Yan took a deep breath and said, "Then I can only take it myself." After saying that, she turned around and went up the mountain first.
But the monster was extremely fast. It rushed over to block An Yan's way and stretched out its front claws to strangle her neck.
Fortunately, An Yan was alert and immediately took a few steps back, then jumped into the air, stepped on the monster's shoulder, used his strength to jump onto the stairs, and ran forward.
The monster quickly caught up with her and wanted to fight with her.
But An Yan was not interested in fighting. She was determined to climb to the top of the mountain first. She had to find the herb first. Besides, Li Rongsen was still waiting for her on the boat.
"Even if you can climb the mountain, you still can't get him." The monster said in a low growl.
"I just want Ganoderma lucidum. I don't need a lot, just two will do."
"There used to be a whole field, but now there's not even a single one." There was a painful tone in the monster's voice, as if it was suffering great pain.
An Yan frowned and said, "I don't believe it. Take me there!"
"Why should I take you there? This is my place!" the monster roared again.
"I'll take my things and leave. I won't stay here for a moment longer."
"I know you're different from them, and I may not be able to defeat you, so please leave immediately and don't waste your time."
"I want to see it with my own eyes."
"The person who grew the Ganoderma lucidum is dead. Only she can grow it." The monster suddenly burst into tears.
An Yan felt it was strange and weird, so she hurried up the mountain while he was sad.
She didn't believe the monster's lies and she had to go and see it for herself.
There was a garden on the mountain, surrounded by a wooden fence. An Yan walked over and saw nothing but mud on the ground. At this moment, the voice of the monster came from behind him. It said, "I told you, there is no Ganoderma lucidum anymore."
An Yan turned to look at him and was about to go into the building, but was stopped by the monster.
"This is my home, my territory, you shouldn't go in." The monster looked ferocious again, even opening his mouth wide, revealing his extremely sharp fangs.
"Why are you stopping me? There's something inside that I can't see, right?" An Yan sneered, and then slapped him with a palm.
The monster dodged and hit An Yan with his front paws, trying to knock her down.
But An Yan was light and skillful, so she always managed to dodge. However, she thought that this could not continue in the long run, so she had to find a way out. Therefore, she took out the short dagger she brought from the academy from her bag.
The blade was stained by the sunlight, so it emitted a dazzling light, which happened to shine on the monster's eyes. He took a step back and stood in the middle of the gate, saying: "You can't hurt me at all, otherwise she will die."
"I don't mean to hurt you, but please get out of the way." An Yan said to him.
"There's only one Ganoderma lucidum now, and it can only sustain her life for half a year. I can't give her to you!"
"Who are you talking about?" An Yan couldn't help but feel curious.
"She was my love, and we were here together, but one day she suddenly fainted and never woke up again. I could only use the Ganoderma lucidum to keep her alive. It has always been like this, but the Ganoderma lucidum is limited. No one else can grow it except her, and now there is only one."
An Yan lowered her eyes in thought, and she said, "Take me to see her."
"What do you want to do?"
"I'm a doctor. I can cure diseases. Take me to see her."
"Why should I believe you!" the monster said as he attacked An Yan. He added, "Someone said they could save her, but it almost hurt her. I will never allow anyone to touch her again!"
An Yan quickly dodged, because the monster had gone mad. It seemed to have lost its mind and kept using ruthless moves, each of which was fatal. It was cursing, "You are all bad people. You are all here for the Ganoderma lucidum. She was hurt both mentally and physically because of growing the Ganoderma lucidum. It's all your fault."
"You are such a crazy beast." An Yan said as she took out a silver needle from her bag. She was going to give him an injection to calm him down first.
The monster's movements were not fast, but because its body was a little big, An Yan didn't have to exert too much effort. She jumped onto its back and raised her hand to insert the silver needle into its back.
But the monster had thick skin and flesh, and it actually broke the silver needle. This gave An Yan a headache, and she found herself thrown out by the monster and fell heavily to the ground.
The monster also pounced on her, subdued her, and said, "You are all bad people, I will not let you go!" After saying that, it was about to wave its palm towards An Yan.
An Yan had already raised her hand, and she had calculated the movement to insert the golden needle into his wrist, but she found that he was knocked to the side, and saw Li Rongsen coming over. He said, "Are you okay?"
"You can actually break the barrier by yourself?" An Yan was surprised and noticed blood at the corner of his mouth.
Li Rongsen said, "The old man is right. Concentration and focus are the most important, and then there is a firm intention."
An Yan pursed her lips and frowned. Just as she was about to say something, she saw the monster was about to pounce on her again.
Li Rongsen immediately jumped onto his back and grabbed his neck, while An Yan inserted the golden needle into his body.
With a loud bang, the monster fell to the ground, completely exhausted, but still conscious. He said in a low voice, "Don't touch that Ganoderma lucidum. I can't let her die. I can't let her die."
"What is he talking about? Who is that she?" Li Rongsen didn't understand.
