Chapter 276 The Paranoid Monster
"I just asked him, but he refused to tell me." An Yan clapped her hands to shake off some dust, but soon she found a place to wash her hands. She went over to wash her hands first, then walked over to Li Rongsen and took his wrist, saying, "This is too dangerous. Fortunately, there are no internal injuries. Don't break through the barrier at will in the future."
"That depends on the situation. In a situation like today, we have no choice but to charge." Li Rongsen told her the truth.
An Yan was touched in her heart, but she didn't say it to him. She took out a pill from her bag and handed it to him, saying, "Here, take some tonic."
Li Rongsen didn't refuse. He picked it up and put it in his mouth.
The monster watched their behavior and thought their relationship was extraordinary. Seeing An Yan about to enter the house, he quickly shouted. He felt that he had to tell the truth, otherwise it would be too late. Now was not the time to force himself. He said, "Let's make a deal, okay?"
An Yan looked over at him and asked, "Tell us your story and I'll see what to do. Robbery isn't my style, so I'll naturally exchange it with you for an equal value."
"There is only one Ganoderma lucidum left, and she only has half a year to live." The monster made a painful sound.
Li Rongsen frowned and asked, "Who is she?"
"She is my lover. I will take you there." The monster said and tried to get up but had no strength.
An Yan walked up to him and said, "I can let you walk, but you can't do anything stupid, otherwise I won't care about it anymore."
"Okay." The monster agreed.
An Yan gave him a pill and then gestured for him to get up and walk around.
The monster suddenly felt some strength. He stood up and said, "I'll take you in." Then he walked ahead.
An Yan and Li Rongsen followed behind him.
The furnishings in the house were simple. There was almost nothing on the first floor except a large table and a few chairs, which must have been used for eating. The two people and the beast went upstairs.
There are about four rooms on the second floor.
The monster led them into one of the rooms. The decoration of this room was much more exquisite, with satin gauze curtains that were quite stylish, and pearl curtains hanging, making it look like a woman's boudoir.
An Yan lifted the pearl curtain and walked inside. She saw the monster take out a key from a box and said, "This is her room, specially used to store her things. Her fragrance is still lingering in the air, but she has been away from this house for nearly a year."
Li Rongsen frowned. He felt that there were many doubts, but at the same time he also felt that this monster was really infatuated.
An Yan looked around and saw a book on the table. She was about to read it when the monster said, "Don't touch her things."
"It's a book. Take a look at it, don't take it." An Yan said.
The monster thought about it for a long time, and finally agreed, saying, "Okay, you see."
An Yan picked up the book and looked at it. It was something like an autobiography, or a diary. It was filled with daily routines and the ins and outs of the monster. Most of them were about daily life, but there were also some insights.
The second half is a medicine book, which records many herbal formulas.
This was something she had never seen outside, so An Yan couldn't help but be interested. She quickly flipped through it, memorized everything in her mind, and then put it down.
The monster said to her, "Even before she fell into a coma, she had been reading this book. She didn't know what it was about. But she loved it so much that she read it every day."
"Don't you know how to read?" An Yan asked him.
"I don't know him." said the monster, and then motioned them to leave with him.
They went back downstairs, to the backyard, and into a cellar. The further down they went, the colder it felt.
Li Rongsen asked An Yan: "Are you cold? I'll give you some clothes."
"You only have one piece of clothing, so just bear with it." An Yan signaled him not to take it off, otherwise it would not look good naked.
Li Rongsen could only blame himself for not thinking carefully enough and not thinking of bringing two more sets of clothes.
They walked through a doorway and saw a snow house. Even though there were lights on, it still couldn't melt the ice and snow inside.
There was an ice bed at the innermost part, against the wall, and a woman was lying on it. She was as beautiful as a flower, and she looked like she was asleep, and even her complexion looked very good.
The monster walked over and knelt down beside the bed, saying to them: "We can't save her here either. There is no Ganoderma lucidum left." Then he took the Ganoderma lucidum beside her pillow, crushed it into powder, and tore it towards the woman.
The powder was green and shiny. It floated in the air for a while before being absorbed by the woman's body.
An Yan was depressed.
And they saw a door sliding down from the door they had just entered.
The monster looked at them and said, "Now, none of us can get out. We will just wait here to die and be buried with my woman."
"Are you sick? An Yan's medical skills are excellent, maybe she could have saved her. If you close the door now, you will have to watch her come back to life and suffocate to death here again." Li Rongsen said sinisterly.
"What a joke! Who can save her? Originally, some people in the forest said they could cure her, but in the end, no one could. We can only kill those who boasted." The monster sneered coldly. He didn't believe such boasting.
An Yan didn't say much to him, but walked closer to the woman. She first felt her breath, then took her pulse. She took out a silver needle from her bag and pricked her fingertip. She found that her blood was black. Confused, she asked the monster, "Hey, what color is your blood?"
The monster was startled at first, then replied, "Black."
"That's right. Is she your lover, or an innocent woman you imprisoned?" An Yan asked him.
"She and I are in love with each other and have known each other since childhood." The monster immediately retorted.
"You are not the same kind. You are a monster, and she is a human." An Yan corrected him rudely.
The monster got angry and said, "Why, can't we love each other if we are not of the same kind?"
"Are you sure she loves you?" An Yan asked him. She had just read this woman's diary, and it was clear that she was only afraid and helpless towards him.
"Of course, we are very happy together. I obey her in everything and she is respectful to me. We are a match made in heaven." The monster roared, as if accusing An Yan of being rude.
"Then you know that she was poisoned, and it was the animal poison in your body." An Yan said.
"I... I am poisonous?" The monster seemed a little unbelievable. He had never known about this.
"Yes, you are poisonous and your blood is black." An Yan answered him seriously.
Li Rongsen kept an eye on the monster, fearing that he would do something bad to An Yan.
But the monster had no strength to fight. He leaned against the wall, staring at the person on the ice bed, and said, "That's impossible. I won't hurt her."
"Maybe you didn't want to harm her, but she was indeed poisoned because of you. I can detoxify her, but you won't be able to survive." An Yan said.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Use your life to make an antidote to cure her illness, and she will wake up."
"How do I know if you are lying to me? Maybe you just want me to die." The monster breathed through his nostrils.
"She's going to die anyway, and you're trapped here. Sooner or later you'll be buried with her. Or are you unwilling to do that?" An Yan asked him again, she was trying to catch his expression.
She thought that he didn't want to die at all. He wanted to outlive herself and Li Rongsen, and then escape. He must know the way out, and the ice door must be able to be opened again.
