Chapter Eleven: Sister Palace Maid, Don't Be Afraid

Helian Nie felt a touch in his heart at the sight of the little dumpling's bright, sparkling eyes, but it was fleeting.

His devilishly handsome face had a slight curve to his thin, crimson lips, a half-smile playing on his lips, and his long, slender, white fingers with distinct knuckles...

Without any politeness, he poked Helian Si's rosy cheek and said, "I'll take this as childish talk."

A five-year-old child said he would always stay with me, and ironically, I was moved by it. It seems I've really gone a bit crazy lately.

"Someone, take the little princess back."

Helian Si was just pouting and feeling sad when he suddenly heard Helian Nie's cold, emotionless voice.

Her grape-like, misty eyes widened slightly, and her fragile little heart skipped a beat.

It's broken...it's broken...it's broken...

Yongqing Palace

In the small garden,

Helian Si sat cross-legged on the soft couch, his cheeks puffed out.

Her grape-like eyes stared at the two blue butterflies fluttering around the peony, and she felt incredibly depressed.

What's going on? One second everything was fine, and the next second they ruthlessly sent their bodyguards to drag me back.

Just as Tiandao's father said, a man's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea; my little one is just too fickle!

"How does it feel to be so heartlessly abandoned by your own little one? Doesn't it feel incredibly frustrating? Doesn't it feel incredibly sad?"

In my mind, I heard the gloating laughter of Buddha Lotus, its golden lotus form rolling around with great amusement.

However, Helian Si was very unhappy and rolled his eyes coldly.

He uttered two words to the still-rolling lotus flower, "Idiot."

Buddha Lotus: "...077, I, Buddha Lotus, advise you to act like a human being once in a while."

Helian Si raised his eyelids slightly and said coolly, "I was never human to begin with."

Buddha Lotus: "...I'm going into seclusion. I'm turning off my phone. You will never see me shining with golden light again today!"

Helian Si: "No need to see me out."

Having angered Fo Lian and driven her away, Helian Si's slight annoyance had largely dissipated.

"Gurgle~!"

A clear and melodious voice rang out at just the right moment, and Helian Si was stunned for a full two seconds.

Then it dawned on me that my tummy was protesting, and I reached out to touch my flat little belly.

Helian Si pursed his lips and turned to look at the palace maid standing a few steps behind him.

Her rosy little face and her grape-like eyes blinked, a thin layer of mist appearing on them.

"Sister palace maid, Sisi is hungry~".

Yue'er's body trembled violently, and with a thud, she knelt down before Helian Si, her voice trembling.

"Your Highness, I am utterly unworthy of being called 'elder sister' by Your Highness. I deserve to die!"

Helian Si: ?

She just wanted to have a meal...

On second thought, she figured it might be because the news of her son dealing with Granny Rong and the palace maid had already spread throughout the palace, which explained the maid's strong reaction.

The little hand sighed and rubbed its forehead in exasperation, then lay down, tilted its head, and thought seriously for a moment.

She ultimately omitted the phrase "sister palace maid," and blinked her watery eyes as she looked at the kneeling palace maid.

"Get up. Sisi is just hungry and wants to eat. Father won't punish you, so don't be afraid."

She's so cute!

"Yes, yes, this servant will serve the little princess her meal!"

Helian Si's deliberately gentle tone had absolutely no effect on Yue'er.

This only intensified Yue'er's fear and anxiety. After all, everyone knew that the more the Emperor wanted to start a killing spree, the more gently he would sneer.
