Chapter Forty-One: The Mark Appears

"Okay." Nan Rong Jinghua responded softly, then walked to where the teacher was standing and began to prepare with the servant in blue.

Watching his fluid and unaffected movements, Helian Si rested his chin on his short hand.

So... does he have X-ray vision? He can see so clearly through that piece of silk, it's so fake.

For some reason, Helian Si felt an inexplicable urge to tear off the silk from that day.

But I can only think about it in my heart.

A gentle summer breeze rustled the birch tree outside the side hall, causing the graceful willow branches to sway in the wind. Under the blazing sun, cicadas chirped, and the plants vied for attention.

The little child sat listlessly on the desk, the Book of Songs hidden behind his short hands, his fluffy little head behind it.

Accompanied by Nan Rong Jinghua's explanations, which were delivered rhythmically and gradually, the scene was quite comical.

Yue'er has already left to attend to other matters. After all, there are only her and Eunuch Xiao Quan in Yongqing Palace now, and they still have a lot to do.

The young servant in blue had been standing a few steps away from Nanrong Jinghua, frowning as he watched Helian Si nod his head slowly.

The servant in blue was quite dissatisfied. Although she was the current princess, his young master was not someone to be trifled with.

The teacher was so dedicated to teaching her, yet the little princess was still dozing off; it was really quite unbecoming.

"Young Master..." The servant in blue felt indignant for Nanrong Jinghua. He turned to look at Nanrong Jinghua, wanting to say something, but Nanrong Jinghua raised his hand to stop him.

Nan Rong Jinghua looked at the little girl whose head was nodding slightly, a hint of doting smile playing on his lips.

"You can go out now, and close the door behind you. Don't let anyone in without my permission."

"Young master!" The servant in blue was shocked, not understanding why his young master would do such a thing.

"Ah Xun, have I been too lenient with you all this time?" His voice, usually as gentle as a solitary orchid in a secluded valley, turned slightly cold at this moment.

Even so, it still made Ah Xun tremble. The young master rarely got angry, but now, he was angry.

"Yes." Despite his many questions, Ah Xun dared not utter another word and bowed respectfully as he withdrew.

The door to the side hall was closed, but instead of waking the little girl who was daydreaming and dozing off, she had already fallen into a deep sleep on the desk.

A slight smile appeared on Nan Rong Jinghua's sharply defined face. With a wave of her hand, a silver-white light was unleashed, enveloping the entire side hall.

He walked to the little girl's side, bent down, and quietly looked at her sleeping face. The little girl's features were clearly visible to Nan Rong Jinghua.

Completely unaffected by the silk veil covering her eyes, Nan Rong's exquisitely beautiful fingers gently caressed the little girl's eyebrows and eyes.

The movements were extremely gentle, as if facing a priceless treasure; the voice, as clear and melodious as an orchid in a secluded valley, became ethereal at that moment.

As if traversing millions of years, carrying endless longing and the tender joy of reunion, "Ah Sheng, I have finally found you."

Just as Nan Rong's gaze lingered on Helian Si's face, the silk veil covering her eyes was unexpectedly torn to the ground.

Nan Rong Jinghua was slightly taken aback, and in that instant, Helian Si, who had been asleep, opened his eyes. However, it was this opening of his eyes that...

His gaze met a pair of silver eyes, deep and unfathomable, like the stars, and that one look sent a piercing, excruciating pain through Helian Si's heart.

Helian Si clutched his chest, his small body shrinking in pain. A faint red glow appeared on his forehead.

"Ah Sheng!" Nan Rong Jinghua was shocked and wanted to go forward to check on him, but Helian Si stepped back first, his small body almost falling off the chair.

Nan Rong Jinghua could no longer care about anything else. Her hand trembled as she hurriedly reached out to pick up Helian Si, but just then...

A red light suddenly appeared between Helian Si's brows, and a crimson and alluring red spider lily bloomed on his forehead.

Almost instantly, a red blade of light transformed from Helian Si's fingertips, piercing fiercely into Nan Rong Jinghua's heart.

“Ah Sheng…”

Nan Rong Jinghua did not dodge, but when she met Helian Si's extremely resentful expression, her voice was filled with sorrow.

Helian Si did not answer, but stared at Nanrong Jinghua with bloodshot eyes, his voice filled with endless hatred, "Jinghua, you deserve to die."
