"It's all tears when I talk about it."
Helian Si sighed, his face showing a look of unbearable sorrow. After speaking, he noticed a strange expression on Helian You's face. Helian Si was puzzled.
"Third brother, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing, don't overthink it. Your father has always loved you and won't hold it against you. Just apologize to your father."
Helian You looked away, not daring to meet Helian Si's eyes. It turned out his younger sister was avoiding his gaze because of Si Bei Tao Hua.
If my younger sister finds out that Si Beitaohua was captured by her brothers, who knows what she might do? Well, let's discuss this with my two older brothers before deciding whether to tell them or not.
"I see."
Helian Si slumped back onto the table, but how could he apologize to his father? Frustrated, he scratched his hair.
This feeling lingered until after the court session, when I returned to the palace in a carriage. I hesitated for a long time before finally heading towards the Emperor's Sleeping Dragon Hall.
The guards and palace servants of Wolong Palace were already extremely familiar with Helian Si, and wanted to bow to him, but Helian Si stopped them.
She hadn't yet figured out what to say to her father, and for a moment she stood at the entrance of the Wolong Palace, pacing back and forth, unsure of what to do.
"emperor."
The guard's voice rang out, and Helian Si suddenly froze, hurriedly stopping in his tracks. He hid behind a tall guard, lowered his head slightly, and nervously clenched his fists.
The guard was in a difficult position, yet dared not move, and could only break out in a cold sweat, completely bewildered as to what the princess was doing.
Helian Nie paused slightly, his peach-blossom eyes glancing out of the corner of his eye in the direction where Helian Si was standing, but he remained silent.
Changying followed behind Helian Nie, looking in the direction of the emperor's gaze. He saw Helian Si, who was hiding awkwardly behind the guards, and was stunned for a moment before looking at the emperor's expression.
The guard panicked even more, swallowing hard, his hand gripping his sword trembling slightly. Why...why was everyone looking in his direction?
"What are you here for?"
Helian Si felt a shadow fall beside him, and a sinister, chilling voice rang in his ears.
Helian Si clutched the hem of his clothes tightly, biting his lip and remaining silent. His nose tingled and his eyes reddened slightly. His father was indeed still angry with him.
"Sisi has come to apologize to the Emperor."
Just as the atmosphere became slightly awkward and stagnant, Nan Rong Jinghua Youlan's soft voice rang out from behind them, easing Helian Si's current discomfort.
“Jinghua…” Helian Si looked up, a hint of confusion in his heart. Why was the handsome teacher here? Nanrong Jinghua gave Helian Si a reassuring look.
He walked towards them, the autumn light shining on Nan Rong Jinghua's silver-white robe, as if shrouding it in a layer of holy light.
"Your subject pays respects to Your Majesty."
"Rise." Helian Nie stood there calmly, his tall and imposing figure with his hands behind his back, his black dragon robe exuding imperial majesty.
"Si Si." Nan Rong Jinghua walked to Helian Si's side, took his hand, and gently squeezed it in her palm to soothe his unease.
Helian Si glanced at Nanrong Jinghua, nodded, took a deep breath, stepped forward, lowered his head like a child admitting his mistake, and said sincerely,
"Father, I was wrong. Please don't be angry with me anymore."
"I didn't mean to."
Helian Nie looked at the meek and submissive Helian Si before him, his thin, crimson lips pressed into a straight line, and his fingers, which were caressing the Xuanwu thumb ring, paused.
After a long while, he slightly raised his hand and rubbed Helian Si's head. When Helian Si looked up, he only saw Helian Nie's departing back.
