Chapter Four: I Allow You Not to Be Independent

She knew her own son's true nature better than anyone; Helian Nie was a believer in the law of the jungle.

If she pitifully begged him to take her home, she would probably only get a disdainful glare from him. So she should be sensible and be a self-reliant little princess.

Sigh, life is tough, I can only sigh.

Normally, Helian Nie would have been pleased with Helian Si's sensible actions, but he couldn't resist Helian Si's bold and impromptu kiss just now.

Furthermore, it's not easy to have such a bold little dumpling who isn't afraid of me and even dares to get close to me.

The villainous tyrant was quite intrigued, but seeing that the little girl preferred to go back on her own rather than ask him to take her home, he immediately became displeased.

Helian Si was just about to take his short legs and walk back to his palace independently.

Suddenly, she felt the collar of her robe being twisted, and then her small body was lifted up.

Helian Si blinked in confusion. What was going on?

Only when he met Helian Nie's devilishly handsome face did Helian Si realize that he had been grabbed and lifted up by his cheap father, the emperor, with one hand.

He Lian Si, who had written his own story, wasn't afraid. He tilted his head, blinked his grape-like eyes, and looked puzzled.

"Does Father have anything else to say to Sisi?"

Seeing that the little dumpling still showed no fear of him whatsoever, Helian Nie's narrow, peach-blossom eyes finally revealed a hint of satisfaction.

Very well, this is how Helian's illegitimate son should be. As for the stupid incident of being pushed into the lake by his own nanny, he will just consider it as a momentary lapse in judgment.

"Why don't you ask me to send you back?" Helian Nie narrowed his dangerous peach blossom eyes, sizing up the little dumpling in front of him, who was soaking wet and quite disheveled.

This seemingly random question filled Helian Si with great confusion. Was his little one testing him?

"It's not impossible," Helian Si blinked his dark, grape-like eyes, meeting Helian Nie's peach-blossom gaze as he obediently spoke, word by word.

"Father, Master said that one should be self-reliant. I think what Master said makes a lot of sense."

Helian Nie's narrow eyebrows furrowed, his eyes filled with displeasure. Meeting the little dumpling's earnest face, the tyrant uttered a long, drawn-out remark.

"I allow you not to be independent."

Helian Si, "???"

Little friend, do you have many questions?

Baby, can you not be so fickle?

When the eagle returned, this was the scene it found: its emperor was holding the little princess by the waist, his face extremely gloomy and unpleasant.

For some reason, the image of the little princess's wet eyes flashed into Changying's mind, and his heart trembled violently. He flew forward.

He knelt down on one knee before Helian Nie with a thud, saying, "Your Majesty, please calm down. The little princess is still young and speaks without thinking. Please reconsider."

Helian Nie glanced coldly at Chang Ying, who was kneeling on the ground begging for mercy for the little dumpling in his hands. His handsome face grew even colder.

Does he really look like someone who is heartless and cruel enough to kill his own child?

Changying lowered his head, feeling the increasingly heavy and oppressive aura emanating from his emperor. He thought of the little princess's wet eyes...

Changying felt even more grief-stricken. He kowtowed to Helian Nie again, but dared not say anything more to provoke Helian Nie's anger. He only dared to repeat, "I beg Your Majesty to reconsider."
