Chapter 24

Chapter 24

Lina kept an eye on the houses on both sides until they were almost out of town. Then she saw a nice little house. "Daryl, let's go check it out."

Lina hoped it was clean inside too.

Daryl had some doubts, but he didn't refute them. The doors and windows were intact. Daryl went around to the back door, but it was locked tightly.

"I'll go in and take a look." Lina lifted the window and climbed inside.

"Hey!" Daryl was too late to stop her and watched anxiously as Lina jumped in.

Although the room was a bit messy, it was generally in good condition. Lina went to the front door and opened it for Daryl. Daryl angrily tapped Lina's forehead with his finger, then closed the door. The two of them began to inspect the room.

Very clean.

No one commits suicide here, and there are no mindless zombies.

Daryl rummaged through the closet. "Hey, this scarf is nice. You can use it to shield yourself from the sun."

Lina took off her backpack, tossed it aside, and leaned over to take a look. "Not bad, wow, it's an LV." Lina took a silk scarf and wrapped it around herself. The color was nice, and it wouldn't get dirty easily.

"Is it pretty?" Lina asked Daryl.

Daryl shrugged.

Lena took off her scarf, pulled Daryl close, wrapped her arms around his neck, and poked his cheek in annoyance. "Next time you have to remember to say 'pretty,' okay?"

Daryl looked at Lina with amusement. "They're all the same."

Lina bared her teeth menacingly.

Daryl smiled and kissed Lina's forehead.

As he was about to get up and leave, Lina pulled him back, and she passionately kissed Daryl's lips.

The door was locked, and it was just the two of them, so of course they had to do something else.

Daryl put down the crossbow in his hand, held Lina's head, and by the time he came to his senses, the two of them were already on the bed, or rather, Lina had pushed him onto the bed.

“Hey, you’re still on your period.” Daryl stared in disbelief as Lina took off her short-sleeved shirt, leaving her only in her bra.

Damn, her waist is so thin and so white.

“She was gone yesterday,” Lina said. “Who knows what she was thinking, suddenly showing up to say hello. She hasn’t come for two years.”

Lina not only stripped herself naked, but also began to undress Daryl without any restraint.

Daryl was startled by Lina, and like a respectable man, he pressed down on his clothes.

"You don't want to?" Lina looked at Daryl in shock. Was her charm level really that low?

Lina looked down at her chest. It wasn't very big, but it wasn't small either.

"Are you sure?" Daryl asked somewhat awkwardly.

"Are you kidding me?" Lina looked at Daryl in disbelief. What else were they doing before?

She wasn't trying to have a platonic relationship with Daryl.

Lina reacted quickly, restraining Daryl's hands with one hand and swiftly tearing off Daryl's shirt with the other, letting out a lewd whistle: "His abs, they haven't shrunk!"

Since the person in front of me is mine, my abs are definitely mine too!

"Why not touch it?" Lina reached out and touched it. It was a bit bouncy, not what she had imagined, and she couldn't press it down.

That's true, after all, humans are made of flesh and blood.

——————I can't censor this, I can't show it to you.——————

If Lina weren't a non-smoker, she would probably be leaning against the headboard right now, casually enjoying a cigarette afterward.

But that thought vanished the moment she stepped to the ground and nearly knelt down.

Daryl chuckled softly and helped Lina up.

Lina glared angrily at Daryl.

“Come here, let me hug you,” Daryl said in a good mood.

Lena pursed her lips. "Your stomach injury hasn't healed yet," but Lena still pulled Daryl along for a bit of support. "Wouldn't it be very obvious if we went back like this?"

Lina was a little embarrassed; she really didn't want the whole camp to know what the two of them had been up to since they ran away.

The thought of all this made her incredibly embarrassed.

"Rest a little longer?" Daryl said helplessly, there was really nothing he could do.

Lena slapped Daryl's chest in an annoyance, and gave his pectoral muscles a squeeze. "It's all your fault."

Daryl shrugged; he could accept this oddity.

After a while, seeing that it was getting dark, the two packed up their things and headed back. At least Lina looked much better now.

I won't just give someone a free ride anytime.

As Lina walked toward the motorcycle, she heard a gunshot.

Seriously? Herschel came here for a drink again? Wait, no one's touched the walkers in the barn?

Lina looked bewildered. "Let's go take a look," she said to Daryl.

Daryl felt it was somewhat dangerous, but Lina insisted, and he couldn't object. "Keep it far away."

“Okay,” Lina nodded.

Under the cover of darkness, the two crept over and found themselves in a tavern.

“They’re our men,” Daryl said, noticing the car at the door.

“I’ve seen these people before,” Lina whispered. “They’re the ones on the highway,” Lina pointed to Randall on the roof.

"Ready?" Daryl pulled out his pistol.

“Hmm,” Lina also put away her knife and took out her gun.

Rick and the others, who were trapped in the house, suddenly noticed that gunfire had broken out outside.

“They must be coming for us,” Rick said. “Now, run! We need to get to the car! Glenn!” Rick shouted.

“There are more and more walkers,” Lina shouted.

“They ran away,” Daryl said. Rick and the others also ran out the back door. Daryl nodded to them. “We need to get to the motorcycles too.”

“Okay,” Lina followed Daryl as they ran. Without those people, Lina and Daryl took out their melee weapons to deal with the walkers, which was much more efficient.

Daryl caught up with Rick and his group on his motorcycle, but to make matters worse, Randall was still taken along.

Lina rolled her eyes and buried her head in Daryl's back in frustration.

Why are there so many troublesome things?

Back at the camp, Lina learned that no sooner had the two of them left than Sean woke up, enraged and unable to calm down. He went straight to the barn and released all the walkers.

After hearing what Glenn said, Lina pinched her philtrum and almost fainted. How could Moore be so incompetent and go so lightly?

“In short,” Glenn said, looking troubled, “I really don’t know what to do now.”

Lina gave a bitter smile, "Me too," and the two exchanged a wry look.

Daryl rolled his eyes. Herschel and the others had to learn to accept reality. Sean had taught them a lesson, and they should thank him.
