To be honest, Daryl was a little confused. He had come all this way because his good brother had been arrested again, and in this small, run-down place, for assaulting a police officer.

Fortunately, seeing that he was drunk, they detained him for a few days and then notified his family to come and bail him out.

Daryl had no choice but to come, but just as he got the man out, Moore disappeared again. Since he had nothing better to do, he came to the bar to relax and also to look for Moore.

Before he even got into the bar, a girl bumped into him. To be honest, it hurt a little. Before he could react, she grabbed him and turned him around.

Her thin wrists looked like tree branches that could be easily broken, so how could she have such strength?

He simply couldn't break free from the girl in his arms.

"Sir, wanna go on a date?"

Daryl was completely dumbfounded. He didn't think he was so lucky. The Asian girl in front of him looked young, and her clothes weren't cheap either. Could it be... a honey trap?

“No…” Daryl’s refusal was cut off by a kiss, and he was forcibly pulled to the side of his pickup truck.

Fury! How is she so strong?

Fueled by the kiss, Daryl disregarded everything else. He wasn't some Puritan; he wrapped his arms around the girl's slender waist and kissed her fiercely.

"Mmm..." Her palate was being licked, her tongue entwined deeply, almost making it hard for Lina to breathe. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the policeman still searching around the door. Lina patted the man holding her hard.

“Let’s go somewhere else…” Lina gasped, “Somewhere else…” She collapsed against him, completely limp.

Daryl opened the car door, tossed Lina into the passenger seat, went around to the driver's seat, and sped off.

Lina hid in the car, peeking out cautiously, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the policeman hadn't noticed her.

Who are you hiding from?

Lina then realized what she had just done: she had grabbed a random stranger, kissed him deeply, and now she had gotten into his car.

Lina touched her handbag; the contents were still there, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

“Nobody,” Lina glanced furtively at the man beside her. He was a tall, white man with dark hair, blue-green eyes, a rough beard, well-developed shoulder muscles, and wearing a sleeveless denim vest. He looked very masculine.

It's hard to say whether she can win or not, but she should be able to, Lina thought.

"Where are we going?" Lina asked.

“Right here,” the car drove into the deserted street, and the surroundings became completely dark. Daryl slammed on the brakes and looked at the girl beside him. Although he was still very suspicious, no matter what, she had just delivered herself to his doorstep, so she deserved to be taught a lesson.

Lina was stunned for a moment. Car sex?!

"Um, how about we go to the hotel?" Lina said with a forced laugh, it's not easy to run around here!

"Are you sure?" Daryl gripped the steering wheel, his words carrying a hidden meaning. If she had just given in a little, he would have let her go. Why was she still being so stubborn?

“Of course,” Lina smiled, leaning over Daryl’s arm and looking up at him. “Brother, hurry up—”

Daryl froze, and by the time he came to his senses, the car had already been sent flying.

F$%K!

Daryl inwardly berated himself. What was wrong with him? How could he have been led by the nose by a child?

But his mind was filled with the image of the girl who had been clinging to his arm, showing her little tiger teeth and smiling sweetly, and that voice calling out, "Brother."

F$%K!

He's really been lacking women lately.

"There!" Lina pointed to a hotel and quickly patted the arm of the man next to her, signaling him to stop.

Daryl hesitated for a long time before stopping. "You..." Before he could finish speaking, Lina jumped down and pulled Daryl out of the car, walking into the hotel.

?

Daryl was being pulled along in a daze. "No... what's wrong with this kid?"

“One room,” Lina said deftly, pulling out a wad of cash and slapping it on the counter.

Daryl immediately disregarded everything else, grabbed the money, counted out the corresponding bills, and placed them on the counter.

"Then you drive, I'm going to the bathroom," Lina glanced around and ran off.

Daryl ignored her completely. Now he knows to run away?

He said to the person behind the counter, "I'm not opening it anymore, give me a refund."

?

The hotel staff looked bewildered, but they maintained their professionalism, kept smiling, and returned the money.

Daryl patted the wad of cash in his hand and whistled. "This is a rich girl, isn't she?"

Seeing that the person had disappeared, Daryl didn't plan to look for him. People come and go here, and she wasn't stupid; she should know to take a taxi home. With that in mind, Daryl walked towards the door without any guilt.

As soon as he reached the door, he was pushed to the ground from behind.

"The suspect has been apprehended," Rick said into the intercom. "Drive to the main entrance for backup."

Daryl was handcuffed, and he stared at the policeman in front of him, bewildered and furious. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

“Someone said you abducted a minor,” Rick looked closely at the man in front of him. What a coincidence, he'd just seen him that afternoon. He narrowed his eyes. “Where’s your brother?”

Daryl was furious with Officer Grimes. How did he and his brother end up in his hands?

“How should I know? He can go wherever he wants,” Daryl said angrily.

“Yes, your problem is more important now,” Rick looked seriously at Daryl, the pedophile. “Be prepared to hire a lawyer; maybe that will save you from life imprisonment.” It wasn’t quite that dramatic, but they looked down on people like pedophiles and sex offenders.

"F%¥k! I didn't do anything!" Daryl knew in a moment's thought that it must have been that girl who was behind it.

"You brought a girl to the hotel, right?" Rick asked again to confirm.

"..." F$%K!

“It’s not that it’s not open!” Daryl said.

"What's your relationship with that girl? Do you even know how old she is?" Rick demanded.

"..." F$%K!

“Take me to the police station and talk to me,” Rick said, pulling him into the car. “Leon, where’s the girl?”

A voice came through the walkie-talkie, "She's gone."

Rick sighed. "Let's go back and talk about it first."

Watching the police car drive away, Lina peeked out from the side, having perfectly resolved the situation.

Lina walked into the hotel. "Where is my room?"

The hotel staff looked at Lina in bewilderment. "Uh, he just said he couldn't get over it..." Also, wasn't he arrested? Didn't he commit a crime?

Lina was taken aback. Huh?

Let her sort this out. So, the person was just planning to run away with the money and didn't intend to do anything in a hotel room?

Lina felt a rare moment of guilt.

"Um, could you please call the police station?" Lina asked guiltily.

After hearing what had happened, the hotel staff were at a loss for words, unsure whether the man was unlucky or deserved what he got.

However, she was happy to make the call for the substantial tip she would receive, and just as she was about to call the police station, she was called over by her manager.

An accident occurred upstairs, and the entire hotel was in a frenzy. By the time she remembered it, it was already the next afternoon when she woke up.

Unlucky Daryl was locked up overnight, only to be released the following afternoon, completely bewildered.

The police investigated and found that the girl was an adult and that it was just a misunderstanding between them.

Daryl received an apology from Grimes, but he was still furious and hoped he would never see that girl again.

*

“That was quite a misunderstanding,” Rick said to Leon with a sigh. “We’ll have to go to Lena Lee’s house to talk to her later.”

“Wait, what about Lina Lee?” Sean slid into his chair to join the conversation.

“Yes, she last night…” Rick briefly recounted what had happened, and Sean shook his head speechlessly.

“That brat never tells the truth,” Sean said, pulling out a fake ID. “I saw her at the bar last night. Here, fake ID. She got away when I was chasing her.”

That's how things got connected. Rick raised an eyebrow. "Working overtime later?"

Sean nodded, but before the two of them could carry out the plan, the director called them over.

After leaving the director's office, the two exchanged a helpless glance and shook their heads. "It seems she's quick-witted."

Their family had already reached an agreement with the bureau chief.

Teaching them a lesson? They weren't punished; they should be thankful the other party didn't care.

"Looks like that kid's more than just rich." Sean also remembered the recent gossip in town about the wealthy young girl.

“Maybe, I feel sorry for her guardian,” Rick said, wondering if she would mess things up.

Lina was unaware of the concern the policeman, whom she had only met once, had for her. She was wearing sunglasses and a headscarf, hiding and watching the man in front of her at the entrance of the police station.

He stood by the roadside with a bewildered look on his face, then walked towards the hotel where he had stayed the previous night.

Oh, right, his car is over there.

Lina stepped on the gas, found his car first, took out a note and a bag of money, stuffed them in front of the car, and hid to the side before he arrived, sneakily watching the direction of the car.

"Thank you, and I'm sorry. And your kissing skills were pretty good." Daryl picked up the note and a packet of money, looked around, and clicked his tongue.

Damn rich guys.

Daryl tossed the money into the car, got in, and didn't leave immediately. Instead, he reclined the seat and took a nap; he had been thoroughly entertained at the police station the night before.

The car didn't move for ages, and Lina's legs were numb from squatting. She decided to just sneak away.

"What are you doing?" Lina was grabbed from behind. "What are you sneaking around looking at?"

Moore stared at Lina for a long time. This woman had been secretly watching him for a while, fiddling with something in front of his brother's car.

Lena was startled, dropped her bag, and punched the person in front of her in the stomach.

Moore was doubled over from the blow, and his grip on Lina's hand loosened. "F$%K!"

Lina grabbed her bag and tried to run, but Moore grabbed her hair. Lina then grabbed Moore's hand, threw him over her shoulder, and pulled out a stun gun from her bag, stunning him.

There was a noise coming from the car. Lina hurriedly tidied up the mess on the ground and ran away.

What the hell? Where did this thug come from?
