Chapter Thirty-Three: Finding Wild Eggs

Lin Xia rolled her eyes at Su Guodong.

She was talking to her daughter, and this clueless girl had to interrupt.

"Mom, no one bullied me," Su Tang replied with a smile when she saw Lin Xia still looking at her.

“That’s right, it’s only our daughter who bullies others, who can bully our daughter?” Su Guodong chimed in from the side.

Lin Xia pinched his waist, and Su Guodong finally shut up.

Seeing that her mother still looked concerned, Su Tang recounted what had happened at the Gray Wolf Tribe that day.

“I’ve already made things clear with Wolf Kui. Once we’ve returned all the prey we owe him, we’ll be even with Wolf Kui and his family.”

“Okay, we’re even.” Lin Xia nodded repeatedly.

Lang Kui has a mother like Lang Man, so even if her daughter really likes Lang Kui, she will not agree to her daughter being with Lang Kui.

She didn't want her little cabbage, which she had raised with so much care, to be eaten by a pig so soon.

Lin Xia forgot that Su Tang's body had already been ravaged by the "stray pigs" outside.

"But Lang Kui is still very persistent and unwilling to give up, and he won't tell me how many prey I owe him," Su Tang said with a headache.

The fact that the original owner's memories are missing is really troublesome.

She kept asking how much prey she wanted to return, as if she was just asking on purpose and didn't actually want to return it.

"Hmph, I knew this kid had ulterior motives and wanted to pester you. No way! Even if we have to return some more prey, we still have to repay this favor." Lin Xia snorted coldly, her face serious.

Su Tang nodded in agreement.

"Okay, Mom, I'll ask Xiao Fu tonight to see if he knows how many prey our family has taken from Lang Kui."

Never owe anyone a favor; this is an experience she has accumulated over many years.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

Just as the two finished speaking, Su Jianyuan and Xiao Fu, who had gone out hunting, returned.

"Mother, Father! Sister, come out quickly, I've brought back the game, we'll have meat tonight..."

Su Jianyuan had already transformed into human form, carrying a black goat, and was walking home excitedly.

Since everyone was hungry yesterday, he specially went to catch a larger prey today, thinking that everyone would be very happy to see such a big prey.

Before he could put the black goat down from his shoulder, his voice abruptly stopped.

"That's...meat?!"

Su Jianyuan stared wide-eyed at the wooden basin full of meat behind Lin Xia.

What's going on?!

He just came back from hunting, so how come there's meat in the house? Did Dad and my older brother go hunting too?

Su Jianyuan was completely bewildered, and the question that had been on his mind came out with his own.

"Mother, where did this meat come from?"

With such a large frame, it was clearly a big guy. Su Jianyuan's proud smile vanished instantly, and he even felt that the black goat he had brought back was a bit shabby.

"This is a sika deer that Tangtang found on the road when he went out to look for clay today," Lin Xia explained, looking at her son's blank expression.

Upon hearing this, Su Jianyuan froze in shock.

"You found it?"

It's outrageous! He worked so hard hunting and only caught a few small prey, while his sister just went out for a stroll and found such a big prey.

Comparing yourself to others is truly infuriating!

It seems even the heavens have their favored ancient continent!

Xiao Fu followed at a distance, clutching a grayish-brown pheasant in one hand and carrying a bag of leaves tied with straw rope in the other, running excitedly toward them.

He was saying the same things as Su Jianyuan.

"Mother! Elder sister, my second brother caught a huge game today, and we also found some good stuff..."

"Second Brother, why are you standing here and not moving?" Xiao Fu looked at Su Jianyuan, who was standing motionless like a statue, with a puzzled expression.

Only after passing Su Jianyuan did they see a pile of fresh meat outside the thatched shed.

He was stunned, and almost let the pheasant fly away from his hand.

"Meat, so much meat..."

How come there's so much meat in the house?

He saw the venison on the ground, then the pheasant in his hand, and the skinny black goat that Su Jianyuan was carrying on his shoulder. He silently shut his mouth and moved the pheasant behind his back.

There is no harm without comparison.

"What good things did you bring back?" Su Tang couldn't help but laugh when she saw their reaction. She stepped forward and gently patted Xiao Fu's head to ask.

Compared to his earlier excitement, Xiao Fu seemed a little listless.

"This is it."

As he spoke, he placed the leaves on the ground and spread them out.

Su Tang looked down and saw several plump, white eggs.

She immediately thought of her five cubs at home. They couldn't eat meat yet, but they could eat eggs!

Make a steamed egg or a boiled egg, mash the egg white and yolk, and then feed it to the kitten. This is a good thing for kittens.

Orcs also eat eggs. They don't need to process the eggs; they just crack the shell and pour them into their mouths. The eggs are slippery, and they don't need to chew them; they just gulp them down. They are cool, smooth, and delicious.

Xiao Fu found wild eggs and immediately wanted to come back and show everyone that he had found food!

Unexpectedly, he was met with a huge blow.

"These are indeed good things, Xiao Fu, well done." Su Tang put away the wild eggs and praised them with a smile.

When Xiao Fu heard this, he was not happy at all; instead, his face scrunched up like a steamed bun.

Compared to meat, these few eggs aren't even enough to fill a tooth gap!

My sister was definitely saying that to comfort herself.

Xiao Fu, dejected, turned around and shoved the pheasant into Su Jianyuan's arms before retreating to a corner to sulk.

Su Jianyuan freed one hand to grab the pheasant, looking completely bewildered.
