Chapter Thirty-Three: Finding Wild Eggs

He should be the one who's upset, right? He was so cheerful when he came back, what's this little wolf cub up to now...?

"Alright, stop standing there. It'll get dark soon if you dawdle any longer. Second brother, put the sheep down and go wash it by the river. You're all sweaty. Honey, come and help me kill this sheep too."

As soon as Lin Xia spoke, Su Guodong immediately came over eagerly.

"Hey! My wife's here!"

Su Jianyuan rubbed his nose, glanced at the sweat on his body, put down the black goat, went back to the hut to get a clean animal skin skirt, and went to the river to bathe.

That's the good thing about traveling through time with the whole family.

When I come back from work, there are people at home to clean up the mess, so I don't have to be busy from beginning to end.

Black goats are agile, so to prevent them from escaping, Su Jianyuan sent them on their way. Therefore, they were processed that day, otherwise the meat would not be fresh if left overnight.

There's no need to worry about whether they can finish it all; their family has never had enough meat before, so they'll just eat first.

Seeing Su Guodong carrying the pheasant, Su Tang also planned to kill it, but suddenly asked:

"Dad, wait a minute, is this pheasant a hen or a rooster?"

Lin Xia glanced over here and said, "It's female."

"Wife, how did you know?" Su Guodong was shocked. He could tell the gender with just one glance. His wife was amazing!

"Male pheasants have brightly colored and beautiful feathers with long tails, while female pheasants have short tails and dull feather colors. That's common knowledge," Lin Xia explained, rolling her eyes at him.

"Besides, didn't Xiao Fu find an egg? Do roosters lay eggs?"

She guessed that the pheasant's eggs were stolen by Xiao Fu, and then Su Jianyuan caught them and wiped them out.

After Lin Xia finished speaking, she turned to Su Tang with a gentle smile and asked, "Tangtang, why are you asking about male and female pheasants?"

Su Guodong curled his lip; his status in the family was declining day by day.

My wife is blatantly showing favoritism!

"Mom, I want to keep raising the pheasant. Maybe it will lay eggs, which will be good for the chicks at home." Su Tang blinked, her eyes sparkling like jewels.

Pheasant: You're so high and mighty! Use my chicks to feed your chicks!
