Chapter Twenty-Seven: Lang Kui Wakes Up

Su Tang was taken aback. How could there be a sika deer here?

She looked around and found no other animal tracks or marks, confirming that it was not prey of any other animal.

The sika deer was uninjured and was lying under a tree.

There was a trace of blood on the sika deer's head; it was motionless and already dead.

Could it be that this sika deer killed itself by running into a car?

Su Tang had only ever heard of rabbits running into wooden stakes to their deaths, but she had never actually seen a sika deer commit suicide.

But since it's already dead, let's take it back and add it to our meal!

Su Tang was overjoyed and hurried back to find Su Guodong to drag the sika deer back. This sika deer weighed at least 100 pounds, and she couldn't carry it by herself.

"Mom and Dad, Big Brother, come quick!"

Su Tang rushed back to the thatched hut and shouted to the others.

"Tangtang, what happened? Did you find the clay?" Hearing her daughter's excited voice, Lin Xia thought she had found the clay and rushed out.

"No, I didn't find the clay, but I found something even better." Su Tang smiled mysteriously and urged, "Mom, hurry up and call my older brother and Dad back too, or the good stuff will be gone."

It wasn't that she was in a hurry, but she was afraid that the sika deer would attract other wild animals and then get hurt.

"Okay!" Lin Xia didn't ask any further questions. If her daughter said it was good stuff, it couldn't be bad.

Soon, Su Guodong and Su Shiwei were also called back.

Lin Xia had to stay to take care of the house and the baby, so Su Tang took the father and son to the grove.

Su Guodong looked completely bewildered on the way.

"Girl, what good stuff is it?"

Su Tang: "A sika deer that committed suicide."

Su Guodong: "??"

What the heck?

When did my daughter learn to joke?

The three of them soon arrived at the place where Su Tang had found the sika deer.

Su Guodong stared intently, his jaw nearly dropping. "It really is a sika deer! Girl, what's going on?"

"I don't know either, I just saw it here when I passed by," Su Tang answered honestly.

She walked quickly to the river and didn't pay attention to her surroundings, so she didn't know when the sika deer appeared.

But none of that matters, as long as it's edible.

"Such a big sika deer! Girl, we've really hit the jackpot today!" Su Guodong exclaimed excitedly, waving his arms and legs.

Su Shiwei stepped forward, examined the sika deer, and then turned to the two of them, saying:

"He died not long ago. The only wound was on his head. It was a fatal wound, not from poisoning. He is edible."

The last sentence is the key point.

If it was bitten to death by a poisonous creature or died of disease, then it should not be eaten.

"This is really a deer that can't think straight," Su Guodong clicked his tongue twice. Could it be that wild animals also suffer from depression or something, and can't think straight and commit suicide?

"Dad, brother, let's hurry and carry it back." Su Tang couldn't wait any longer.

Half of yesterday's prey was given to Wolf Queen to take her to the vet; she didn't get enough meat at all.

"Yes, yes, carry it back, we'll kill it and eat it later!" Su Guodong's face beamed like a blooming chrysanthemum, his mouth agape.

The father and son worked together and quickly carried the sika deer home.

Lin Xia was so shocked when she saw the three of them bring back a deer that her eyes widened in disbelief.

What's going on?

Where did this huge sika deer come from?

"Tangtang, what's going on with this deer? Did you awaken something like the ranch again?"

Su Tang was both amused and exasperated, admiring her mother's imagination; it was a real shame she didn't become a novelist.

"Mom, I found this."

She recounted to Lin Xia how she discovered the sika deer.

Lin Xia found it unbelievable that she could find a deer while walking in the woods. What kind of luck was that?

That's comparable to the probability of their entire family time-traveling.

The task of killing the deer was naturally assigned to Lin Xia.

However, the deer was too big for Lin Xia to handle by herself, so Su Guodong came back to help her.

Too lazy to carry it to the riverbank, the two of them laid out a few large leaves near the thatched hut and began to skin and kill the animals, cutting them into eight pieces.

Inedible offal and other waste are wrapped in leaves and then taken to the forest to be disposed of later.

Lin Xia couldn't bear to see her daughter witness such a bloody scene, so she instructed her to take care of the cubs and sent her away.

Su Tang wasn't good at these things and knew that she would only make things worse if she went, so she obediently returned to the shed, stayed with the cubs, and went to check on the farm.

The farm was busy today too; we planted apples all day, and after deducting the ones we ate from last night to today, we still have 144 left.

There's another crop in the field, it will ripen in a few minutes.

And you know what? Having more land means planting faster.

Su Tang quickly sold the apples and exchanged them for 100 gold coins, then went to the store to buy corn seeds.

The corn seeds were taken directly to the warehouse. Su Tang waited a few minutes until the apples in the field ripened. She couldn't wait to pick the apples and plant the corn.

The farm is set up just like a game, so she doesn't have to work in the fields herself. To do something, she just needs to touch the item and press a button.

The planting time for corn is two hours, twice that of apples.

However, for Su Tang, this amount of time is nothing.

After going out and replacing the hourglass, Su Tang checked the unlocking requirements for the third plot of land again.

[500 gold coins, warehouse contains more than three types of fruits]

Su Tang frowned slightly. Five hundred gold coins—that was ten times more than the previous piece of land.

This is such a rip-off!

She only has apple and corn seeds, and she didn't see any other seeds for sale in the store. Where would she get three kinds of fruit?

It seems we'll have to find the seeds ourselves outside.
