Chapter 237 Durian Intestine Hot Pot! Is it really that heavy?

Whispers began to circulate among the onlookers, filled with curiosity and doubt about Lin Chen's unusual treatment method. However, Lin Chen was a doctor, and they were merely bystanders; saving lives was paramount, and they dared not disturb him.

"Is he alright?" someone couldn't help but ask, expressing their concern.

Lin Chen did not answer directly, but focused on feeling the middle-aged man's pulse. After a moment, he took out a row of slender silver needles from a box he carried with him. The silver needles gleamed coldly in the sunlight.

"What are you doing? Are you going to give me acupuncture?" someone shouted in horror when they saw Lin Chen's actions. Some even turned away in fright, unable to look him in the eye.

Lin Chen smiled slightly and explained, "Don't be nervous, this is acupuncture, an ancient and effective treatment method. I know you are isolated from the world, but you wouldn't be unaware of this, would you?"

As he spoke, he swiftly and accurately inserted the silver needles into the middle-aged man's body. As the needles went deeper, those around him seemed to feel the man's pain, and they involuntarily shuddered.

"Oh my god, the needle's in!" someone exclaimed.

At this moment, everyone's attention was focused on Lin Chen and the middle-aged man, except for the sentimental young woman standing opposite Lin Chen, who remained calm. She saw confidence and determination in Lin Chen's eyes. Although she didn't completely believe in the medical skills Lin Chen spoke of, she was willing to believe in Lin Chen as a person.

Lin Chen's fingers gently rotated and twisted the silver needles, each movement revealing his superb mastery of medical skills. Finally, after a dozen seconds of waiting, the middle-aged man reacted. He took a deep breath and then slowly opened his eyes.

"Hoo..." That loud breath seemed to announce his rebirth to the world. He looked around, then looked down at his body, his eyes sparkling with doubt and surprise.

Seeing this, Lin Chen stood up, walked towards a man in his thirties not far away, and politely asked, "Could I borrow a piece of paper and a pen?"

The man readily agreed and handed Lin Chen a paper and pen. Lin Chen took them and quickly wrote down a prescription on the paper. The middle-aged man, though still somewhat weak, already knew that Lin Chen had saved him.

"Thank you, young man. You saved my life," the middle-aged man said gratefully.

Lin Chen simply smiled and didn't say anything more. Instead, he handed the written prescription to the middle-aged man. "Go buy the medicine listed above. Drink it once a week for six months, and your syphilis should be cured."

The middle-aged man was stunned. "I have syphilis? What is syphilis? I don't understand what you're saying at all!" he shouted excitedly.

Lin Chen didn't explain further, but simply turned and left. He believed that if the middle-aged man truly wanted to recover, he would naturally buy and take the medicine according to the prescription. If he couldn't refuse, then there was nothing he could do.

As Lin Chen left, the crowd erupted in gasps of amazement. "Is this a movie shoot? Where's the camera?" they wondered, but couldn't find any filming equipment. Of course, some were still debating whether the middle-aged man had syphilis!

Lin Chen continued strolling through the streets of Hongkou County, enjoying the beautiful scenery. However, he didn't notice that someone was quietly following him from behind…

A charming voice rang out behind him, like a spring breeze rippling across a lake.

"Hey, you handsome young man, wait a minute." His voice held a hint of urgency and anticipation as Lin Chen turned around, his gaze meeting that of the charming young woman who had made way for him earlier. She was Wu Lina, a captivating and alluring woman.

Wu Lina rolled her eyes at Lin Chen, seemingly scolding him for walking too fast, but then she stretched out a hand, a faint blush rising on her face. "You walk really fast. Let's get to know each other. My name is Wu Lina." Her voice was soft and magnetic, making people want to get closer.

Lin Chen smiled and took her hand, then gently released it. "My name is Lin Chen." His gaze was clear and deep, as if he could see into people's hearts.

"Judging from your appearance, you're here in Hongkou County for tourism, right?" Wu Lina asked curiously, her eyes sparkling with inquiry. Lin Chen smiled slightly, already guessing her intention, but deliberately kept her in suspense. "I think you are too. If you don't mind, let's go together."

Wu Lina's face blossomed into a radiant smile, like a blooming flower, a sight to behold. "How did you know? This place has always been very secluded. How did you find it?" She smiled even more broadly, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

Lin Chen thought to himself that this amorous young woman was indeed extraordinary, but her free and unrestrained nature reminded him of Liu Xinxin and Su Hong'er from the past.

Hongkou County was indeed an unfamiliar place for Lin Chen, an internet celebrity. Wu Lina, being practically a local, naturally became his best tour guide. What's more, this tour guide was also incredibly beautiful, a feast for the eyes.

"Lin Chen, let's go to the museum in Hongkou next," Wu Lina suggested, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Don't underestimate this small, underdeveloped county. It has a lot of ancient artifacts hidden inside, which I think you'll find quite interesting."

Lin Chen's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this. He had always had a strong interest in historical artifacts, and the fact that there was a museum in this small county town where even the internet wasn't very accessible made him even more curious. "Then what are we waiting for?" he readily agreed.

The two walked side by side into the museum, embarking on a wondrous journey of exploration. Wu Lina fully assumed the role of tour guide, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of each artifact. She meticulously explained their historical background and cultural significance to Lin Chen. Her gentle yet captivating voice transported Lin Chen back to those ancient times.

Although the museum didn't have many artifacts, each one was incredibly precious. Guided by Wu Lina, Lin Chen admired these historical treasures one by one. However, when his gaze fell upon one exhibit, he suddenly froze. It was a dragon head, remarkably similar to the dragon head from the Chinese Zodiac, a national treasure!

Rumor has it that this dragon head has been lost for a long time, but I never expected it to appear in the museum of this small county!

Lin Chen felt a surge of excitement, but outwardly he pretended to be nonchalant and continued listening to Wu Lina introduce the other artifacts. His mind was completely captivated by the dragon head; he desperately wanted to know if it was genuine. However, he couldn't show it too obviously, lest he arouse Wu Lina's suspicion.

So he decided to accompany Wu Lina to dinner first, and then return to study the dragon head more carefully when he had the chance. At the dinner table, the two chatted and laughed, creating a very harmonious atmosphere. Wu Lina's cheerfulness and enthusiasm pleased Lin Chen greatly, and he gradually lowered his guard, beginning to enjoy this rare journey.

However, Lin Chen's mind was still preoccupied with the dragon head. He knew he had to find a suitable opportunity to return to the museum and unveil the mystery of the dragon head.

Lin Chen and Wu Lina walked side by side, and their conversation inadvertently turned to the local cuisine.

"Lin Chen, what do you want to eat? Have you ever tried durian sausage?" Wu Lina looked at Lin Chen with a mysterious expression, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Lin Chen was taken aback upon hearing this, and thought to himself, "This name sounds so heavy, are they really going to make me eat it?" However, before he could refuse, Wu Lina had already impatiently continued.

"Let me tell you, this is a unique specialty of Hongkou County! If you miss it, you'll regret it for the rest of your life!" Wu Lina's smile was full of temptation, as if to say, "Just have a bite, it's really delicious!"

Lin Chen's thoughts had already drifted far away; his mind was filled with the dragon head he had seen in the museum earlier. He casually remarked something, but unexpectedly, Wu Lina actually ordered a durian and pork intestine hot pot!

When the pungent stench hit him, Lin Chen almost vomited. He initially thought it was coming from the public restroom next door, but when he turned around, he saw a man and a woman enjoying their so-called "special delicacy"!
