Chapter 13 Going to Find the Mistress
For two days in a row, Huang Dehan did not go home.
Riemann called him, but he didn't answer.
In a fit of anger, Riemann went directly to his company to confront him.
"I'm sorry, there is no such person as Huang Dehan in our company."
Li Man was taken aback for a moment, then quickly said, "Excuse me, could you please check again for me? Huang Dehan, his name is Huang Dehan, and he has been doing this for many years."
The receptionist replied, "I'm so sorry, there really isn't such a person in our company."
"Thanks!"
Riemann stopped pursuing the matter and left dejectedly.
Her mind was in turmoil. Huang Dehan wasn't working here anymore? But he hadn't mentioned changing jobs to her at all.
What kind of person has she been living with all these years?
What else is he hiding from me?
Riemann became increasingly anxious as she thought about it.
Unable to find Huang Dehan, Li Man decided to go find San'er.
When Li Man checked the dashcam footage, she discovered that Huang Dehan always picked up San'er from the same place, leading her to suspect that San'er worked in that area.
Riemann arrived at the place where Huang Dehan often picked up his mistress.
She found a window seat at a nearby bubble tea shop, where she could clearly see what was happening on the street.
This area is a commercial center with many office buildings.
She sipped her milk tea while keeping an eye on the roadside.
Riemann sat there from noon until the afternoon, and finally saw San'er gracefully walk out of the building across the street.
Li Man hurriedly ran out of the milk tea shop and stood in front of San'er.
When San'er saw Riemann, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but it was fleeting, and he quickly regained his composure.
Riemann stared intently at San'er. From San'er's reaction when she saw her, Riemann knew that San'er recognized her.
"Shall we talk?" Riemann spoke first.
San'er looked arrogant and raised his chin slightly, saying, "I don't know you. Who are you?"
Riemann sneered, "Stop pretending. Are all mistresses this good at pretending?"
The mistress's face darkened with anger, and she shouted, "Are you crazy? Watch your mouth! Who's the mistress? Your mother is the mistress!"
Li Man looked at San'er coldly, not expecting that San'er, who looked so elegant, would say such heavy things.
“Your name is Zhao Yalin, right? I know you live in apartment 1003, unit 2, building 12 of the Tianze Lakeside Community. I know exactly how many years you’ve been with Huang Dehan and what you’ve done. So, stop pretending. It’s pointless to keep pretending.” Li Manye looked at San’er with a knowing expression.
San'er was immediately intimidated by Riemann, because Riemann knew her address.
San'er's expression changed, and after struggling for a while, she finally said, "What exactly do you want?"
"So you're admitting it?"
San'er retorted angrily, "Admit what? Speak your mind, I don't have time to waste on your nonsense!"
"Tell Huang Dehan to bring the property certificate home. Otherwise, I'll file for divorce. I have all the evidence of you two being together. Don't think that just because he transferred marital assets, I can't find any evidence. I have all kinds of evidence here!" Li Man was just trying to bluff them. She wanted to turn the tables and see what Huang Dehan would do next.
Now that we've already crossed the line, there's no need to hide anything anymore.
Just then, a car stopped beside them.
Huang Dehan quickly got out of the car. When he saw Li Man there, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. He quickly shielded San'er behind him and asked warily, "What are you doing here? What do you want to do to her?"
Although she was mentally prepared, seeing the man she had loved for sixteen years protecting another woman like this still caused Riemann's heart to ache uncontrollably.
"What can I do for her? If you care about her so much, why didn't you tell me sooner? I'm not an unreasonable person. If you want to be together, I'll grant your wish. Why do you have to do this behind my back? Is it meaningful?" Li Man said coldly.
