Chapter 229 Huo Jiansheng is here
"Second Uncle!"
The little girl greeted Huo Jiansheng sweetly as soon as she saw him.
Huo Jiansheng responded and waved to the little girl, "Come here, your second uncle wants to discuss something with you."
"What's wrong?"
Xinyu sat down next to Huo Jiansheng, tilted her head up, and asked.
"Do my second uncle a favor and accompany him to meet someone."
"Who are you seeing?"
"I'm meeting a friend of my second uncle's. Could you please cooperate with her?"
"Well……"
The little girl tilted her head, deep in thought.
"Your second uncle will buy you a laptop."
Upon hearing this, Xinyu's face lit up with a smile, and she happily agreed, "Okay."
She had wanted a laptop for a long time and kept pestering her mother to buy it for her, but her mother said she was still too young and would buy it for her when she went to junior high school.
...
Huo Jiansheng took Xinyu on a plane overnight.
On the plane, Huo Jiansheng told Xinyu about the purpose and mission of his trip.
Xinyu thought it sounded fun and readily agreed.
The plane landed at 3 a.m.
After making a phone call to Riemann, Huo Jiansheng hailed a taxi and headed straight to the hospital.
Li Man was surprised that Huo Jiansheng arrived so quickly, so she hurriedly booked a room for him at a hotel near the hospital.
After booking the room, she sent Huo Jiansheng her location.
It was late autumn, and the nights were especially cold. Riemann and the others were shivering at the hotel entrance.
A taxi stopped in front of Riemann.
Huo Jiansheng got out of the car with Xinyu.
Upon seeing the little girl, Li Man paused for a moment, then instantly understood Huo Jiansheng's intention.
Although she was a little disappointed that her daughter didn't come, she felt that this arrangement was fine.
She cast a grateful glance at Huo Jiansheng, who had just gotten out of the car.
"Second Aunt!"
Upon seeing Riemann, Xinyu called out sweetly.
Riemann froze instantly.
Huo Jiansheng was quite pleased to hear the girl call him "Second Aunt," but he hadn't expected her to act so unpredictably. He awkwardly said to Li Man, "She's my niece, named Xinyu. She's just a young girl and doesn't know any better, so please don't mind."
Riemann quickly replied, "It's alright, it's alright."
Huo Jiansheng said softly to Xinyu, "Didn't I tell you to call her 'Mom'? Why are you calling her that?"
The little girl made a face at Huo Jiansheng before saying to Li Man, "My second uncle told me to call you 'Mom' and act with you."
Riemann quickly and softly replied, "Yes, are you willing?"
“Yes, I’m willing. I promised my second uncle,” Xinyu said.
Riemann said gratefully, "Thank you. Your name is Xinyu, right? Thank you, Xinyu. How old are you?"
"I am eleven years old."
“That’s the same age as my daughter. Auntie has a daughter who is eleven years old.”
“I know, my second uncle told me.”
"Thank you for your help. You must be tired. Go back to your room and rest. We can go to the hospital together tomorrow morning after breakfast, okay?"
"OK!"
Riemann had only booked one room, but after seeing the little girl, she took another room.
After all, the little girl has grown up, and she can't share a room with Huo Jiansheng.
It was already quite late, so Li Man didn't chat for long. After settling them in, she returned to the hospital.
...
The next day.
As dawn broke, Zhang Yan got up.
After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she went to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and took out the shrimp she had specially bought at the supermarket the night before.
My daughter has loved eating the shrimp dumplings she makes since she was little.
First, cook millet and yam porridge for Li Liangsheng, and then start kneading the dough.
She had a rare good night's sleep last night.
I feel energetic.
Since Li Liangsheng was diagnosed with cancer, she hasn't had a good night's sleep.
After preparing breakfast, Zhang Yan brought it to the hospital.
Li Liangsheng also woke up, and Li Man felt that her father looked much better today, whether it was her imagination or not.
