Chapter 32 If I'm not angry, wouldn't that be even worse?
Praise Gin to death, make him high and mighty, and then bring him crashing down!
Chinatsuka Takanashi praised Gin to an extreme degree, as if the entire organization was under Gin's control. However, everything was indeed traceable, and no boss would tolerate such a subordinate.
What awaits Gin is the boss's personal suppression.
Chinatsu Takanashi wasn't worried at all that the message wouldn't reach Mr. Rum's ears. Even if the others in the organization didn't dare to spread it, Rum wouldn't let this opportunity pass.
However, in doing so, Takanashi Chinatsu has completely offended Gin.
Takanashi Chika returned home nervously, even responding listlessly to Hagiwara Kenji's greeting. Although she had teased Gin several times before, she had never truly affected Gin's interests.
This is the first time.
She tested Gin's limits step by step, and perhaps this time, Gin would not tolerate her.
She's really awful. If you think about it carefully, she's actually been taking advantage of Gin's indulgence and acting recklessly. Because Gin would spoil her, she ended up hurting Gin time and time again.
That's not right.
But she had actually told Gin long ago that she hated him and would definitely kill him.
Chinatsu clenched her fingers so tightly that her knuckles turned white, but she was too nervous to let go.
"China, China-chan!" Kenji Hagiwara's voice brought China Takanashi back to her senses.
"Yan Er Jiang".
"My hand, my hand is going to get hurt." Kenji Hagiwara hovered anxiously around her.
Takanashi Chika silently released her grip, her voice weak: "I'm fine."
"You seem down. Why? Is it because of what happened between me and Jinpei that's bothering you?" Kenji Hagiwara asked, cupping his face in his hands and looking at him with concern.
Chinatsu Takanashi shook her head; it had nothing to do with them.
"Want to chat? I won't tell anyone that Kenji-chan is Chinatsu-chan's personal confidante!" Hagiwara Kenji winked at her.
Chinatsuka Takanashi forced a smile, but still refused: "No, it's something only I can handle."
She wouldn't tolerate anyone else interfering in her feud with Gin, nor did she want to confide in anyone else.
Someone knocked on the door.
Before Chika Takanashi could react, Kenji Hagiwara had already floated away, only to frantically float back again.
From that expression, Takanashi Chinatsu immediately understood who the person outside was.
Sure enough, Kenji Hagiwara shouted as he floated away, "Chinatsu-chan, oh no, that cold-faced guy is here again!"
She nodded and remained seated on the sofa.
After knocking for a while, someone quickly took out their key and opened the door.
Gin entered the room, his expression revealing neither anger nor remorse. He walked over to the sofa and casually tossed her an exquisite jewelry box.
"What is it?" Takanashi Chinatsu asked, puzzled.
Opening the jewelry box revealed a metal bracelet with star and moon shapes inside. The gold and silver were interwoven, and it shone brightly, looking very luxurious.
"The master asked me to bring this to you. It's said that he stumbled upon this bracelet at an auction, which can resist magical attacks, and he specially bought it for you." Gin lifted his robe and sat down next to Takanashi Chinatsu without any hesitation.
Gin's aura was intensely aggressive. When he sat down, he was almost right next to Takanashi Chinatsu. The tension of having her safe distance invaded made Takanashi Chinatsu shift to the side.
Gin didn't mind, he just took her hand and put the bracelet on her left wrist.
An elegant bracelet on her wrist made her skin appear even whiter, like snow.
Before Takanashi Chinatsu could pull her hand away, Gin released it on his own, his tone casual: "You told the master that you were going to see Touzawa Eriol?"
“Of course not, how could I possibly tell him!” Takanashi Chinatsu answered almost immediately, then quickly realized what Gin meant.
Gin's statement implies that the news was not reported by Gin, but she also did not tell the gentleman.
Who relayed that news to you, sir?
Scotland? No, there is no such mailbox as Mr. in Scotland.
Takanashi China shivered violently; that feeling of being surrounded by a net was back.
Takanashi Chika had noticed long ago that although the master seemed to have been indifferent to affairs for many years, no information about the organization could escape his notice. He seemed to care about nothing, but he would always make you feel a chill when you were most relaxed and unguarded.
Like this time, it's something the gentleman clearly shouldn't have known.
He was a raven lurking in the darkness, silent and undetectable to anyone. Yet, he was in the shadows, one with them, only asserting his control over the organization at the most crucial moments.
“Rum is not without ambition,” Gin said calmly.
Takanashi Chinatsu instantly understood that Rum had always been very ambitious, but he had never usurped the position and had been obediently remaining in the second-in-command position. Didn't this further prove how terrifying the master was?
"Takanashi, there are some things you can do and some things you can't do. I don't want to have a gun pointed at your head one day." Gin's gaze swept coldly over Takanashi Chinatsu's body.
Takanashi Chinatsu shivered violently, but quickly retorted with a fierce but weak tone: "What nonsense are you talking about? If we're talking about ambition, isn't it you who has more? Don't you want to advance further in your current position? And you're warning me, saying that the boss spoils me so much, and I have so much freedom in the organization, why should I rebel against him?"
Gin chuckled, and with just one glance, he seemed to see right through Takanashi Chika.
Chinatsu Takanashi's forced composure gradually softened. She lowered her head, put her legs together, and sat upright on the sofa, her eyes fixed on the tips of her shoes.
She wanted revenge for her adoptive father, she wanted to kill Gin, and she wanted to destroy the organization.
Although she is Black Cherry, being Black Cherry is not something she wants; she just has no choice.
All her misfortunes were brought about by the organization.
She tried so hard to lie low for so many years, but still couldn't escape that man's notice?
After a long while, Takanashi Chinatsu heard a muffled sound coming from her own throat: "Gin, will you point a gun at me?"
To my recollection, it only happened once.
"meeting."
He answered without hesitation, like an emotionless machine.
But that's how Gin should be.
The Gin that Takanashi Chika first met was exactly like that.
"Would you shoot me?" Takanashi Chinatsu looked at him.
Gin's eyes flickered, as if he felt guilty.
What is Gin thinking? Is he thinking about their first meeting? Takanashi Chinatsu still remembers that meeting. After Gin killed her adoptive father, he sensed her presence. That was the only time he pointed a gun at her.
But that time, Gin didn't fire.
stunned.
At that moment, Gin's face showed a particularly obvious look of surprise.
Was Gin shocked because he was an undercover agent who adopted the child?
Takanashi Chika didn't understand what he was so surprised about. Did Gin think that someone like her adoptive father, an undercover agent, should spend his whole life hiding in the shadows, living a lonely and miserable life?
He's just a human being, an undercover agent with a sense of justice. What's so shocking about him adopting a child out of a sudden act of kindness?
He didn't fire that time, but what about next time?
“Since you are so favored, the master won’t let me kill you. He’ll probably let me take you back.” Gin didn’t answer Takanashi Chinatsu’s question directly.
This left Chinatsu Takanashi in disbelief.
Was Gin really feeling guilty just now?
Gin really couldn't bring himself to hurt her?
Takanashi Chika felt a mix of emotions; more than being moved or grateful, she felt resentment.
"Gin, I will never forgive you!" she gritted her teeth, her expression exceptionally resolute. Was she confronting Gin with such force hoping he would reciprocate? She didn't know.
Gin's eyes flickered slightly, and he raised his hand to vigorously rub Takanashi Chinatsu's head.
Takanashi Chika froze for a moment, then immediately turned her head away, shouting even louder with resentment, "No matter how good you are to me now, I will never forgive you. Don't forget what you did before. A life for a life, you have to pay the price! Today at the training ground is just the first time. There will be a second time, a third time... um."
Gin covered her mouth with one hand and rubbed her head harder with the other.
"The zither..."
"Smack!" Gin slapped Takanashi Chika on the head and scolded, "Don't move around."
Chinatsuka Takanashi stiffened, and subconsciously obeyed the command.
Feeling an even heavier force on her head, her long hair must have been completely messed up by now. She finally came to her senses, hurriedly stood up from the sofa, and took several steps back, staring at him with a shocked and wary expression.
Gin, however, was unimpressed. He rubbed his fingers together with lingering satisfaction, a slight smile playing on his lips, and said with a hint of amusement, "Feels nice."
Are you crazy?!
Do you think you're petting a cat?
Chinatsu's emotions suddenly became disjointed. It's always like this!
Every time she was about to say something harsh to Gin or retaliate against him, Gin would rub her head until it was practically bald!
She clearly hated Gin and wished she could fall into her own sea of hatred and passion, yet she was forced to be driven to anger and embarrassment by Gin.
He really is sick!
Takanashi Chika gritted her teeth and glared at Gin, as if she was about to pounce on him and bite him at any moment.
“It’s punishment,” Gin said with a faint smile.
Chizuru is bewildered. What?
"You flattered me like that at the training ground today, this is your punishment. A second or third time? Go ahead and try, next time I'll pluck all your hair out." Gin showed off a long strand of blond hair by winding it around his finger.
Takanashi Chinatsu suddenly became furious, baring her teeth and claws as she lunged at Gin: "How dare you pull my hair!" She made a move to grab Gin's hair.
Gin grabbed both of her hands with one hand, pushed his long hair behind his back, and leaned back so she couldn't touch him.
"Don't wrong me, it's your own hair loss."
"You're the one with baldness!" Takanashi Chinatsu retorted angrily.
"You stay up all night every day and don't sleep now. If you don't lose your hair, who will?" Gin pushed Takanashi Chinatsu away with a little force, and before she could pounce on him again, he quickly retreated, ran outside, closed the door, grabbed the doorknob, and smiled at the impotently furious Takanashi Chinatsu inside, saying, "Get some rest. Don't worry, I'm not angry."
The sounds outside the door stopped, and Takanashi Chinatsu didn't try to open the door again, but instead sighed dejectedly.
Not angry? Isn't that even worse?
