Chapter 21 Do you want to come closer and hear me confess my love to you?
In order to avoid being discovered by Eriol that she still retains her memories, Chinatsu Takanashi has been refraining from going to the Kinomoto family's house for the past few days, waiting for Gin to return and deal with the situation.
Having some free time, she did manage to visit the organization, together with Scotland.
Scotland is well-liked in the organization because of her good personality, and Takanashi Chinatsu is a semi-celebrity in the organization. The two received a lot of attention as soon as they joined the organization.
"Good morning, Black Cherry!"
"Black Cherry, did you come with Scotland?"
"I heard you blocked Rum a while ago. Has he given you any trouble?"
Chinatsuko Takanashi responded to each question, while Scotland listened quietly, feeling as if everyone around her was speaking "incomprehensible gibberish."
Wait a minute? What do you mean by tearing Vermouth's skirt? What do you mean by blacklisting Rum? And squeezing wasabi into Gin's rice ball?
Scotland was shocked. When he was alone, no one had told him that Chinatsu Takanashi had done so many terrible things!
Doesn't this offend all the higher-ups in the organization?!
"These are all old, trivial matters, why are you still bringing them up to laugh at me!" Takanashi Chinatsu didn't seem to mind at all. She raised her hand as if to hit someone, and the person who was teasing her immediately backed away laughing.
Of course, Takanashi Chika didn't actually chase after him. She lowered her hand, put her arm around Scotland's arm, and gave him an innocent and bright smile.
Immediately, many eyes were drawn to the two people's intertwined arms, exchanging glances.
Finally, a brave soul stepped forward and jokingly asked, "Black Cherry, when did you and Scotland become so close?"
The Scottish man recognized him as Bacardi, whom he had met once before.
Strange, Bacardi never used to come to the training grounds, otherwise I would have seen him before. Why did he suddenly come today?
Scotland's suspicious gaze swept over Bacardi and finally landed on Takanashi Chinatsu.
Is it her?
Bacardi will help her look up information and will probably come over as she asked.
The intelligence team's high-ranking second-in-command, a complete mystic, was actually willing to come over just because of a single sentence from Takanashi Chinatsu, making Takanashi Chinatsu's identity even more intriguing.
“Scott is my boyfriend.” Takanashi Chinatsu gently hugged Scott’s arm, revealing a happy and content smile.
Bacardi shuddered instantly, looking at Takanashi Chika with a look of utter disbelief.
“Hello, Bacardi, we’ve met before,” Scotland greeted Bacardi.
Bacardi completely ignored Scotland, instead stepping forward and asking in a low voice, "Are you serious?"
Takanashi Chika hugged Scotland even tighter. "What do you mean, 'really'? You're jealous that I have a boyfriend?"
This time, Bacardi looked more like he was being chased by a ghost, taking several steps back with a disgusted and strange expression on his face.
“You’re too old, Uncle Bacardi.” Takanashi Chika emphasized the word “uncle”.
Bacardi's emotions seemed to have calmed down, and he warned her coldly, "You probably don't want to live anymore. If Gin finds out, neither of you adulterers will escape!"
Chizuru Takanashi was furious.
She asked Bacardi to reveal their romantic relationship. What kind of drama is Bacardi trying to create here?
Gin? Why is Gin being mentioned again? Do people in the organization think she belongs to Gin?
While Black Cherry was furious, Scotland was also observing the reactions of the people around her. They seemed unsurprised by Bacardi's words, rather than taking them for granted.
As expected, Gin's possessiveness and control over Cherry Blossom were too strong, and everyone believed that she should not escape Gin's control.
Even though Black Cherry was a member of the organization, Scotland couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for her. Had this child lived in Gin's shadow all her life?
"What do you mean by adultery? Bacardi, are you looking for death?" Takanashi Chinatsu kicked Bacardi.
Bacardi could have easily dodged the kick, but he deliberately took it, clutching his leg and crying out in pain.
Takanashi Chika was not satisfied, especially when she saw the way the people around her were looking at her; a nameless fire surged up inside her.
Her mind worked quickly, and almost without hesitation, she grabbed Scotland's arm again, deliberately saying, "Gin won't be angry. It was Gin who made Scotland stay with me."
Everyone around them held their breath.
No one spoke, not even the sounds of drills ceased, and the entire training ground became so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Takanashi Chinatsu suddenly felt a chill. Everyone was silent and had blank faces, giving her a sense of unease, as if she had stepped from a crime movie into a horror movie.
"Don't you know? Gin is going abroad on a mission for a while, and he left Scotland to keep me company because he was worried I'd be lonely."
The eyes of those around them had turned to terror.
Scotland clearly hadn't expected Takanashi Chinatsu to say that. They had only said they would pretend to be a couple, which would put Gin in a cuckold's hat, but Takanashi Chinatsu's words were practically accusing Gin of putting a cuckold's hat on himself.
This won't do! If Gin finds out, he'll really kill him!
But spreading rumors can be addictive. Instead of feeling guilty, Takanashi Chika continued to escalate the situation: "Scottish treats me very well, and I'm very happy now. Gin would definitely bless us if he knew. I'm not as jealous as you think! A man who is too jealous can't sit at the table!"
The people's eyes were no longer visible, because they had all lowered their heads, too afraid to look directly at each other.
That chilling feeling, as if being stared at by a wild beast, became increasingly pronounced.
"Come here, Scottish baby, give me a kiss!" Takanashi Chinatsu deliberately showed off her affection to everyone and pouted to kiss Scottish on the cheek.
Kiss, kiss, kiss... but I didn't get to kiss him.
Chika Takanashi tried to move her head, but it was held firmly in place by a large hand, preventing her from moving closer to Scotland.
Huh? Who dares to press him down!
Takanashi Chika winked at the Scottish maniac, "Beat him up! Beat him up!"
Scotland stood still, like a sleeping husband in an adult film, even silently lowering his eyelids.
"Heh." A cold chuckle instantly froze Takanashi Chika's body.
She stopped frantically winking and moving closer to Scotland's cheek, instead stiffly trying to turn her head away.
This time, the giant hand above did not stop them.
The first thing that catches the eye is that familiar black coat, its wrinkles carefully ironed out, clean and tidy.
Perhaps because we were so close, a faint smell of tobacco, mixed with the scent of mint, wafted from the other person's collar.
Takanashi Chika's gaze shifted upwards. Gin's face was cold, but beneath that chilling indifference, the weariness in his eyes was undeniable. He looked as if he had been up for several nights in a row. Even the usually energetic Lone Wolf couldn't help but show signs of fatigue, and he was startled awake from his exhaustion, looking wary and disdainful.
Gin released his hand from pressing down on Chizuru Takanashi's head.
Vodka, standing to the side, kept his eyes down, not daring to say a good word for Takanashi Chinatsu.
Takanashi Chinatsu also behaved herself, showing a rare docile side in front of Gin.
"Come closer." The voice was heavy and hoarse.
Takanashi Chika didn't dare to resist and immediately leaned closer, pressing her head tightly against Gin's chest, feeling the calm before a volcanic eruption in his chest, and cautiously looking up at him.
In a daze, Takanashi Chika seemed to have returned to a few years ago.
She had just been brought back to the organization by Gin, and in order to survive, she had no choice but to recognize her enemy as her father. At that time, she made a mistake, and she obediently leaned on Gin, trying her best to please him and acting coquettishly.
Gin's face was cold, but his coat was warm. From a distance, it looked cold and hard, but the fabric was actually very soft and felt gentle on his face.
Gin sighed, his hand reaching for the Beretta at his waist, his gaze sweeping coldly over Scotland beside him, as if he were looking at a dead man.
Almost instinctively, Takanashi Chika grabbed Gin's clothes tightly.
The slight pulling sensation, accompanied by a tremor at the point where their skin met, caused Gin's inner fire to dissipate helplessly.
"Come with me." Gin ignored Scotland and strode away with Chizuru Kotori.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Scotland remained tense, not daring to utter a single word of apology or attempt to persuade him to stay.
In the empty corridor, with cold walls on both sides, footsteps sounded slightly ethereal due to the echo.
Gin opened the door and led Takanashi Chinatsu directly into his private lounge.
Do you like Scotland?
When Gin asked the question, Takanashi Chinatsu didn't even dare to answer immediately.
“He’s quite capable and should live a long time. I originally planned to have him as your cook.” Gin paused slightly as he carefully examined Takanashi Chinatsu.
Chinatsu Takanashi lowered her head, her hands tightly gripping her pants, almost curling herself into a ball.
The arrogant and fearless demeanor he usually displayed in front of Gin was completely gone at this moment.
"Don't get emotionally involved, Black Cherry. There isn't a single good person in the organization."
"And what about you?" Takanashi Chinatsu suddenly raised her head, staring intently at Gin: "You don't need to confess, you don't need to say or do anything, just one look and everyone in the organization thinks I'm your possession. Gin, are you saying this to me because you like me, or are you just satisfying your perverted desire for control?"
Gin's expression immediately became indescribable.
He turned around abruptly, seemingly suppressing an urge to hit someone and trying to calm his surging emotions.
When he turned back, Gin had regained his usual calm demeanor and said indifferently, "Don't listen to their nonsense."
"Fine, I won't listen to what they have to say, I want to hear what you have to say now!" Takanashi Chinatsu took a big step forward, and if Gin hadn't taken a step back, the two would have definitely bumped into each other.
Chinatsu's eyes are very determined.
She had been kept in the dark for a long time and had been struggling with this question for a long time; she wanted a definite answer.
She understood that Gin must know the answer.
Tell me, what are you thinking? Do you like me?
Gin's expression twisted, and his lips twitched.
"You seem to always agree with me, but every time I hear something like this, you look like you've swallowed a fly. Am I that disgusting to you? Fine, Gin, if you won't confess to me, do you want me to confess to you?" Takanashi Chinatsu pressed her again, standing on tiptoe, her aura seemingly rising three feet higher.
