Chapter 13 Here's a bottle of Scotch wine for you, may you die abroad.
Calm down, Chika. Gin wouldn't dare do anything to you.
Takanashi Chika tried to cheer herself up, but looking at Gin's indifferent eyes, her heart sank.
Gin certainly wouldn't dare target him, but what about Matsuda Jinpei? He was just a policeman, an insignificant "cop" in Gin's eyes, and he never showed mercy to the police.
Including... her adoptive father.
"Black Cherry, you should never forget who raised you," Gin warned coldly.
To yield and act innocent.
Chinatsu Takanashi knows how to please him, but she easily loses her temper whenever she sees Gin.
“I will always remember that my adoptive father was a policeman,” Takanashi Chika retorted, directly confronting Gin.
No, that won't work...
How dare she say that? The person in front of her is Gin!
Takanashi Chika was a little scared, but she still stared intently at Gin, refusing to show any fear.
Gin nodded, his face expressionless, and said, "He's a policeman, that's why the organization is targeting him."
"He was killed by you!"
Gin nodded again, but this time he looked away.
He stared silently downstairs, watching Matsuda Jinpei walk out of the school gate and eventually disappear outside.
He seemed completely unconcerned, but his voice was slightly dry: "Don't you always say that I'm a mouse catcher, and of course I can't be lenient with mice?"
He was forever shrouded in solitude, and the rain, snow, wind, and frost that lashed him only deepened his sense of desolation.
Takanashi Chika's eyes slowly reddened.
Perhaps it's true that those who are favored are always fearless. When facing Gin, Takanashi Chika unconsciously vents her grievances and resentment. It's not that she doesn't know how to be patient, but that she's unwilling to be patient in front of him.
"But he's my adoptive father, can't you... can't you..."
“We didn’t know each other back then,” Gin interrupted her.
Taking out a handkerchief, Gin slowly and carefully wiped away the tears on Takanashi Chinatsu's face, then added, "Even if we knew each other, I would never let an undercover agent who infiltrated the organization go because of you."
Takanashi Chika forcefully pushed his hand away, her eyes filled with murderous intent.
Gin paused, then stopped wiping her and put the handkerchief back in his pocket.
The way he looked at Takanashi Chika was always like looking at a child who hadn't grown up. It lacked the disdain and amusement he usually showed when looking at the weak. He was like a powerful tiger who didn't know how to raise its young, clumsily teaching a kitten little by little.
"When a person is weak, even if they fight desperately, they will only be seen as adorable. You should understand this principle."
Takanashi Chinatsu gritted her teeth in anger and declared to Gin, "Yes, you are stronger. In your eyes, I am so weak that you could crush me with a single finger. But Gin, you won't be so smug forever. Sooner or later, you will stumble and fall. When you are in trouble, I will definitely kill you!"
"Commendable courage." Gin patted her head.
This was intolerable! Takanashi Chika grabbed Gin's hand and bit down hard.
She has very good teeth, especially when she bites into gin; blood comes out almost immediately.
Gin's arm was tense from the pain, but he restrained his instincts and did not retaliate. Instead, he quietly watched Takanashi Chinatsu retaliate, without even a trace of annoyance in his eyes.
Chika Takanashi exhausted all her strength, but she didn't even get a cry of pain from Gin.
Gin slowly withdrew his hand from between Takanashi Chinatsu's loosened teeth, pinched her chin to examine her, and asked, "Aren't your teeth sore?"
Are you mocking me?
“Don’t be so fierce all the time. The last person you should be wary of is me.” Gin lightly tapped her forehead with his finger and said, “I’m giving you Scotland.”
Chinatsu Takanashi was still glaring at him fiercely, and she was even more annoyed when she heard this: "What right do you have to give him to me? Scotland is a person with an independent personality, not some object. What gives you the right to decide who to give him to?"
Gin didn't respond, but continued, "I'll send you his information. Be careful. Although Scotland seems obedient, he's not a good person. Don't be fooled by him."
Takanashi Chika was so angry she almost laughed. Who was the worst person in the organization calling a bad person?
"I have a mission to go abroad for about two weeks, during which time..."
"Take care, and I hope you die abroad." Takanashi Chinatsu offered this malicious "blessing."
Gin didn't argue with him, but simply continued, "If anything happens, have Scotland contact me." Then he left.
Takanashi Chika raised her middle finger menacingly behind him.
Cursing her? She'll be fine. Even if something did happen, she wouldn't let Scotland notify her, otherwise Gin would be overjoyed!
She's already an adult and will soon be able to develop her own power within the organization. At that time, she'll make Gin kneel before him and apologize.
She hasn't forgotten the hatred for her father's murder.
"Ring ring—"
In the evening, the school bell rang, and Chinatsu Kotori went out on her roller skates.
Touya and Yukito rode their bicycles beside her, following her at a moderate pace.
"I told you not to follow Sakura's example, you've gone astray!" Touya couldn't help but complain. She used to be quite normal, riding bicycles with them, but now she rollerblades every day and isn't afraid of falling.
"Oops!" Takanashi Chika stuck out her tongue and sped up.
"Slow down, the road is uneven."
"If you're no good, don't blame the road for being uneven!" Takanashi Chinatsu retorted quietly.
Touya snorted angrily.
Yukito couldn't help but laugh out loud, and deliberately rode faster, calling out to her, "Chika-chan, grab my back seat, it'll save you some energy."
“Okay.” Takanashi Chika grabbed him and let Yukito take her away on his bicycle.
Even when people have free time, their mouths never stop talking.
"Some people are naturally kind and gentle; they immediately come to help when they see I'm tired. But others just stand by and make sarcastic remarks. Snow Rabbit, do you know who I'm talking about?"
Yukito chuckled and secretly glanced at Touya.
Touya was already used to Takanashi Chinatsu's sharp tongue, so he wasn't angry at all. Instead, he fought fire with fire: "Indeed, there are some people who deliberately cling to people and drag others down. You're not tired, but Yukito is."
"Then I'll hitch a ride on your car." China immediately changed her target.
Touya sneered, quickened his pace, and dodged Takanashi Chinatsu's hand.
"Don't run!"
"Chika, watch your step!" Yukito quickly chased after her.
The three chased each other on the road. Takanashi Chinatsu was no match for the two gorillas and soon became breathless, watching as Touya in front of her grew increasingly arrogant.
"Grab my hand." A hand reached out from the side.
As soon as Chika Takanashi boarded the skates, she was gripped tightly by that slender yet exceptionally strong hand, which accelerated her roller skates as she was pulled forward in pursuit.
When an outsider suddenly joined in, Touya was stunned for a moment. Takanashi Chinatsu seized the opportunity to grab the back seat and jumped on with a strong push. Sitting on the back seat of the bicycle, she grabbed Touya's clothes with one hand and started tickling his armpits with the other.
"Hey, haha, don't touch me, hahaha!"
The car wobbled precariously, and just before the two fell, Takanashi Chika was caught by a pair of large hands and held tightly in their arms.
Touya and his bike tumbled over. Although he wasn't injured, he still looked up and cursed, "That's so awful! You're completely inhuman, Takanashi!"
