Chapter Eighty: Destiny (Volume One, End)

Driven by the unknown and fear, the former hero bowed his head to the enemy and turned his weapon against his comrades.

The hero who slays the dragon eventually becomes the dragon himself.

A cycle of sorrow, a cycle of suffering.

But now, a new hero has decided to sever this destiny.

He vowed never to go down that path.

Ning Feng said:

"I will face it."

Even if the road ahead is full of thorns.

Even if it leads to death.

He will not go gently into that good night.

He must advance like a storm.

It angrily denounces the passing of light!

In a final burst of energy, his cloudy eyes brightened, and Li Tian could clearly see the young man before him who had made up his mind.

Upon closer inspection, the young man before him finally matched the image of the crybaby he remembered.

The old man, who had fallen into the abyss, smiled kindly and said with emotion:

"You've grown up."

!!

Ning Feng felt a momentary choke, but he quickly regained his composure and closed his eyes.

Don't say those things with that tone and look at the end.

That's very unfair.

I also experience moments of confusion.

Although, it was only a little bit.

All of this can never go back to the way it was before.

Opening his eyes, Ning Feng lowered his head and whispered to Li Tiandu:

"good evening."

Goodbye, my cowardice.

Without hesitation, Ning Feng swung his longsword down, severing the last shackles in his heart.

Thump.

The blood spurted from the fallen angel splattered onto Ning Feng's cheeks, but this time Ning Feng felt no excitement, not even the thrill of victory.

The anger dissipated, and all that remained in his heart was emptiness.

Gods, fallen angels, betrayal, patricide...

All of this exhausted him.

"Finally, it's over..."

With the Blood Sword shattered and its last bit of power exhausted, Ning Feng could no longer maintain his demonic form and reverted to his human appearance.

The strength supporting his body dissipated, and a sense of powerlessness swept over him, causing Ning Feng to stagger twice.

But he managed to stand, swaying but refusing to fall.

A soft glow painted the horizon where the sea met the sky a vibrant red.

The long night has finally come to an end.

On the deserted sea cliff, a weary figure stands atop the church, gazing at the horizon, waiting for the dawn to tear through the darkness.

Thinking of that despairing future for the old man, Ning Feng shook his head and muttered to himself:

"That can't be my destiny."

I despise that fate.

But before the first ray of light broke through the sky, another ray of light pierced the darkness.

A dazzling light suddenly appeared!

From behind that figure, covered in blood yet refusing to fall.

A pair of silver wings with a metallic sheen...

Suddenly it unfolds!
